201  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: September 05, 2014, 08:22:51 PM
Unfortunate. Just requested refund on second of two orders (X3s) due to multiple BA failures. Sent some info to Bitcz, we will see what materializes there.

I will probably do the HKCC thing this weekend. I guess I am at the point where things suck so bad (safety issues on top of everything else? C'mon) it just doesn't matter. This has gone beyond the pale in so many ways.

Cant believe they made a special "Asshole detected" page.

GL on the refund request. If I had thought there was a half chance in hell they would even give me a partial refund I would have requested it but instead I took chips and washed my hands of these a holes.

There are 30 AMPS going through 60 pins. Each pin is rated at 2.2Amperes. I do not think the connector is the problem.

We agree that this is a serious concern and we are examining right now what is the best option to proceed. At this point we are no longer shipping X3 until we find the exact cause.

Customers that already have X3s are adviced to shut them down and wait for further instructions.

Despite the wait for the Technobit boards,  I believe this is the best solution.  Look at all the problems with the X3's . BA is putting out a crap product that catches fire. They are telling people to shut them down and they blame customers for rushing the X3 into production. Unbelievable.
203  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: September 01, 2014, 11:27:23 PM
BA are a bunch of scum bags. Do not do business with them.
204  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: August 30, 2014, 09:58:06 PM
Black Arrow in my mind is worse than BFL. They delay but their miners work. BA delays and when they deliver their miners are crap.
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: August 26, 2014, 05:27:20 PM
Well the GAWminers (physical) are not shipping yet but they are offering FREE hashing till they do ship (ie temp) or you can change them over to virtual mining
also (perm)..this starts TODAY as soon as you can let them know your choice(s) temp or perm on how you want it all to work.

the equiv of all batch 1 Titans imho available as fast as you can email gawminers of your choice on the above vaultbreaker deal

likely 6 weeks ahead of when i 'physically' get the Titan

here is the link..it seems their 'boast' to bury KNC and Titan may be true!

https://hashtalk.org/t/vaultbeakers-come-early/7605

I myself am on the sig campaign (see my tagline) for GAWminers and have no frigging idea on how they are doing all this ...getting the hash power
buying up zenminer for 8 million and btc.com for 1 million etc they seem to have big big bucks behind them...anyway we will see

and as usual nada/zip/nothing out of KNC on all this (except banned posts on their forum if you mention GAWminers) ....but with their
no refund policy we are stuck

so 6 weeks of watching vaultminers at 750mh hash away..then when I get my knc Titan I can compete against batch 1 other Titan customers too!

ah the joys of mining

gonna go cry in my beer now

Searing

You're not the only one wondering how they are doing it.
I just read a bunch of posts by some guy who wants to promote his mine by attacking GAW. If the amount of trolling equals recognition one could say they have succeded in becoming one of the leading hash providers in the world.

I have a feeling that if it is too good to be true then it probably is. GAW can say and make all the statement they want. KNC is a small fish, let's see if they can out do MBP.
206  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: August 21, 2014, 04:07:14 PM
I think getting your unit converted to chips and sending to technobit is a better option. If your BA unit dies do you trust them to repair the unit?  Will they even do a repair or are you sol. Do you think they will be around in 6 months? I think technobit will be around alot longer than BA.
207  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: August 14, 2014, 04:10:50 PM
People screaming about injustice here need an attitude adjustment, seriously.

"OMG I didnt get my magic internet money making machine in time to make money wahhhhhhh wahhhh"

BOO FING HOO. File Black Arrow among the countless businesses people have invested in that failed. Shit happens.

We gambled and lost. Thats it. Dont act like a baby.

Accepting personal responsibility for making a poor choice to preorder a product which wasnt even fully designed rests squarely on YOU.

Acknowledge your role in this fiasco. Stop blaming everyone else for YOUR failure to make a good investment.

I don't believe that this is a loss. Once the chips are turn into miners or people start receiving equipment from BA you will start earning BTC. The question is will prices rise or will they continue to go down. Even if we didn't buy from BA and purchased S3's with the declining price of BTC it makes it harder to ROI. Holding BTC is also a risk because if you purchased in the higher range now you are looking a loss.  Some would say that the best option now is to get out of cryptos and move on with life.
208  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: August 14, 2014, 04:42:49 AM
Just received DHL tracking number for my 32xx and 31xx orders (direct BA order).
Should be 10x Prospero X3 + 5x compensation units.
My orders have been marked as completed.

I should have had 5 days of hosting, but it looks it has been skipped.
I received my ten psu for compensation units weeks ago.

I really don't know what to expect next Monday when goods will arrive (tracking is for only one package, which looks little bit worrying).

Eric (Paris Bitcoin center)

So you have 10 X3 ordered but are receiving only 1 X3? This is pathetic.  Black Arrow you disappoint me yet again.

I didn't say that. I got only one tracking number for what should be 30 hashing units, which looks surprising. I'll know for sure next Monday.

Does your DHL tracking list a weight? If you are receiving 30 X3's but have only 1 tracking number then DHL would have to deliver them on a pallet.

I don't believe you invested $100,000 into mining equipment withotu doing adequate research on difficulty and coin prices. If you did, wow. Just wow. I am sorry for your loss.

If he purchased pre order Hashfast rigs and Alpha Technology scrypt miners then I believe he has losses. Research on difficulty and coin prices will not tell you weather a company will scam you. My advice to all is not to purchase pre order. Only buy what is in stock. Seems like the Antminer S3 is what most people are ordering now.
211  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Project : My first Bitcoin !!! on: August 13, 2014, 04:29:05 PM
Making BTC is not that hard. Be nice and helpful and sometimes people will reward you. I helped a user here avoid getting scammed on eBay when he was trying to buy a miner. As a thank you he sent me .25 BTC. Also when just dice was running I was there in the chat room and a player decided to make it rain for all in the room. He gave everyone .05 BTC.
212  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does anyone get 1 BTC every day? on: August 13, 2014, 04:20:31 PM
When just dice was up and running I was making around 1 to 2 BTC per day. Some days I would lose 1 to 2 BTC. I ended up around 8 BTC.
213  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: 5 AntMiner S2s for Sale $1200 (OBO) on: August 12, 2014, 08:57:08 PM
Just eBay them, they're going for about $1650ea there.  Grin

haha, got it up for $1200 on ebay... I don't htink they are selling for 1600 tho:P

One of them sold 2 days ago for $1695 plus 60 shipping:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bitmain-Antminer-S2-1-TH-1000-GH-Asic-Bitcoin-Miner-SHA256-In-hand-Ships-Fast-/251611369142?pt=US_Virtual_Currency&hash=item3a9534ceb6

I sell my used mining farm equipment all the time on ebay, I usually get top dollar too.

Did you get paid? I usually sell things there but  50% of the buyers don't pay. eBay is crap now with all the non paying bidders.

With blackarrow it is always next week or the check is in the mail. This ship is sinking so better get you life jacket ready.
215  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 25GH Miner Viabilty and Value? on: August 11, 2014, 04:12:41 PM
Solo mine. You get lucky and hit a block, you get 25 BTC. Do you think a real gold miner goes out to the hills and uses a calculator and says. If I move so many tons of dirt I should get so many ounces of gold? Do what you want because you want BTC not because a calculator says you will only get .0001 btc per day.

Return the power supply you got and get this one

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?gclid=CPXH4aq0hMACFUw2aQodZF8AEw&Item=N82E16817153145&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-_-pla-_-Power+Supplies-_-N82E16817153145&ef_id=U9ga7AAABE9CT49F:20140808193250:s

From the video on Zoomhash that looks like the one they are using.  Your connectors are plugging into the power supply.
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Zues Lightning PSU on: August 08, 2014, 05:52:53 PM
Used the four PCI-E cables from the power supply and connect each one separately to the four power connectors on the Zeus. The power supply cables should be 6/8 pin connectors. The fan on the Zeus should be powered by a molex cable from the power supply.

Probably quieter than a SP30

Sub 100W CPU are in reference to 20 dB noise of the fan. It can cool a CPU up to 170W but the fan will be spinning faster and you will have more noise levels.
