Wow. Once Synethstesia left our luck returned. Maybe we should send him some BTC to stay away.
382  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: How much heat a rig dissipate ? on: July 12, 2013, 07:43:25 PM
12000 BTU / 1 ton will cool 400 square feet of space. So if you have 2000 square feet then a 5 ton cooling unit will be the minimum. I would double the cooling for that many rigs.
383  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Got an Avalon today.....don't know what to do!!!! (how to set it up) on: July 06, 2013, 06:47:22 AM
Login to your router and it should show what ip address it has given to the Avalon. From your first post you have setup it up to use Wifi.  Go to your pc and reset the ip address back to DHCP then put in the ip address of your Avalon into your web browser. You should get the web interface for the Avalon. Login and then your can check the cgminer stats and setup pools.

Is your network interface setup for DHCP or Static? If it is setup for DHCP then you have a problem with your home wireless router.

I would not try mining with a laptop. You will get very low hash rate <30MH and could burn out your video card. Also if your laptop's video card does not use open CL this will be another problem.

Dogie,

What do you think about this article.

The author says that used Avalon's are now worth between $32K to $49K due to recent sales numbers.
387  Economy / Auctions / Re: [Sell] Avalon batch #2 by escrow, start at 60 BTC, cancel if it arrives too late on: June 28, 2013, 06:56:56 PM
When does your auction end?
388  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC users thread on: June 27, 2013, 08:23:14 PM
Thanks. Just ordered a fan off of Amazon. Not seeing the rpm in cgminer kind of bugs me.
389  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC users thread on: June 27, 2013, 07:55:18 PM
This is a dumb question  Smiley Two of the three fans in my Avalon are spinning at 3700 plus RPM. The first one (blue guy) is at 0 RPM. Is that because it is not at 12v 3600 rpm fan? It is running but cgminer is not reading the fan speed. It there a way to fix it?

Well you know the old saying. Don't count your chickens before they are hatched. Yifu can say or promise anything. The proof is in the delivery.
391  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: My BFL Singles are now in "Production" on: June 25, 2013, 05:03:02 PM
Production means nothing. There is a parts shortage at BFL. Orders shipping out have slowed due to this. Could be a month or more before they start building again.
392  Economy / Auctions / Re: [WTS] B2 Avalon In Hand on: June 24, 2013, 10:37:50 PM
When do you think a batch #2 preorder should come in? They seem to be shipping now so maybe middle of July to end to get all batch shipped? Kind of a gamble. Some batch #1 are still waiting to be shipped.
393  Economy / Auctions / Re: [WTS] B2 Avalon In Hand on: June 24, 2013, 10:22:51 PM
Preorder on eBay just went off at $7225

Order #1453

That is pretty low.
394  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: BFL - First Single SC 60 gh/s has shipped on: June 16, 2013, 07:51:23 AM
So I guess "I hear" is as good as "check is in the mail"? Sort of like I hear BFL is going to be shipping asic's in Sept 2012. Not good that they won't even confirm a shipment but only speculate.
395  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS: 3 x 500GH/s BFL mini rigs - mid-AUG/2012 preorder - BTC via escrow on: June 12, 2013, 05:01:01 AM
1.00000001 BTC
396  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Should I build a market place for members to buy/sell ASICS? on: June 12, 2013, 04:58:52 AM
This market sucks for buying ASIC'S. A lot of scammers and dishonest people. They tell you one thing then do another.
397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: June 11, 2013, 02:55:57 PM
Shipping price from Sweden to UPS zone 7 (Southern California) $136.80 USD.
398  Economy / Auctions / Re: [WTS] 5xASICMiner Erupter Blades on: June 10, 2013, 04:14:28 AM
Sorry then. I guess I don't know how auctions or bidding work. If you didn't like my price then you should have said so. No harm in that. Your blades and so you did what you did to get the most BTC.
399  Economy / Auctions / Re: [WTS] 5xASICMiner Erupter Blades on: June 09, 2013, 06:58:40 PM
What I don't like is someone who agrees to sell you something at a specific BTC price and then gets offers from others and cancels your deal even when both have agreed on price. If nothing has been exchanged then there is no contract but still it is a matter of honor. What if you when to a car dealership looking to buy a car and they had one that was a great deal. You tell the sales person that you want to buy the car and as they are working on the paper work another person comes in and offers more. The dealership sells the car to guy who just walked in who offered more. Do you think that is fair.
