No interest? This is a very nice miner.
162  Economy / Computer hardware / WTS 2HEX4M on: November 20, 2014, 07:29:37 PM
I have two 2HEX4M miners built by Technobit for sale. Currently each is running stable at 800GHs. I will also throw in a 1000 watt power supply for each unit. Looking for 1BTC per unit. Thanks. You pay for escrow and I will cover shipping in the USA.  Shippping any where else is covered by you.
163  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: November 02, 2014, 04:40:38 AM
Power supplies - fixed

In the light of the issues encountered with a limited number of the Power Supply units, we have been pushing really hard the power supply manufacturer, Apluspower, to address all the issues. Apart from reliability issues, the PSU did not comply with EM emissions, although our contract with Apluspower clearly mentioned that the PSU must be CE and FCC certified.
As a consequence, after the PSU issues were fixed, Black Arrow went through certification procedures. Prospero X-3 is now CE certified. Please click here to review the certification.
We are happy to report that according to our knowledge, testing and 3rd party certification, Apluspower have now fixed all the problems discovered and reported and we have resumed shipping. Please note that the power supply is certified together with our Prospero X3 as a whole unit and not independently.
The old design PSUs failure rate is lower than 5% and replacement is only required to comply with EU/US legislation due to EM emissions. We will dispatch new PSUs on our own cost to all customers from EU&US who wish to receive a replacement, but please note that customs duty are the responsibility of the receiver. Customers outside of EU&US will be eligible for a replacement only if their PSU is faulty. We will not be requesting our customers to send the old PSUs back.

X1 manufacturing – in testing

We have stopped manufacturing X1 and we will be shipping all remaining customers X1.5 which contains 2 chips and hashes at 160-180 Ghash in an attempt to clear the compensation sooner.
Certification for Prospero X1.5 is in progress.

X3 manufacturing - fixed

We had issues with the speed of built for the new units therefore we had to make a contract with a new business partner who demonstrated that they can manage delivery of large volume in a short period of time.
Our new partner has just finished the first batch of units which will be dispatched today and tomorrow. Their assembly speed is a clear improvement and at this rate we will be finishing all X3 deliveries in next few weeks.

14nm Bitcoin ASIC

We are still heavily involved in the 14nm ASIC project.
We are happy to report that after bringing on board more talent we have exceeded our initial 0.3W/Ghash target by 4.3 times by employing all techniques possible in ASIC and algorithm design. Our current design efficiency is now 70mW/Ghash (0.07W/Ghash) which allows us to build a 1 Terrahash chip in a single die while using 70 Watts at chip level. This will allow development of a 20Thash machine while using 1.5kw.
We intend to make this chip available for sale only from stock (No pre-orders)

Lies, upon lies, upon lies. Blackarrow is a joke and what ever you say is a lie.

Got my 2HEX4M miners today. Had a problem hooking them up with a mr3020. Cgminer kept saying it was unable to connect. Could be the powered hub I was using. The miners are fine however because I connected to a pc and they hash great. Thanks Marto for building a great miner and no screw job like blackarrow.
165  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: October 29, 2014, 09:39:38 PM
At this point only a moron would purchase anything from Black Arrow. Why even bother with announcement of a 14nm chip? A 20 TH miner? Why not just say a 100 TH miner at 1000 watts? If you are going to lie to customers why not go big? You would have to be a fool to give them any money.
166  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Primedice against me on: October 15, 2014, 05:28:13 PM
I have seen a person on justdice lose 350 BTC twice betting 98% chance to win. So it happens.
167  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: October 10, 2014, 04:30:32 AM
"Mmmm hashrate" indeed...

Mmmm hashrate

Not mine.
QG

So thats where all the money went...

This is a client's, not mine.

There are about ~190 machines total, not sure if all of them made it into the pic.
~855TH .57KW

Humm  487 KW.  At .10 per KW his electric bill alone is 35K per month.  Making about 350 BTC per month. By December that number will be down to 150. Hope BTC doesn't go below $200. Not going to ROI.
168  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: October 09, 2014, 06:30:19 AM
Hi Guys,

From the 3 machines I ordered from Spondoolies.. 2 of them are working and one of them doesn't so they've requested to get it sent back to them. I will be loosing out on hashing and paying for shipping the miner back. Is this something spondoolie will compensate for? I did recieve the 3 units pretty late too.. I got them on the 2nd of October when they said it would come in mid-September..

Anyhow I have been mining with the other two machines and have noticed only getting like $10 to $15 per day max combined together for mining with Slush.. Is this usual or should I change to BTC Guild?

Sorry I'm new to mining.. I was expecting these machines could produce upto $50 dollars per day minimum for each machine.

Welcome to the world of no ROI mining. With BTC pricing going down and difficult going up. $10 to $15 is pretty good.
169  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: GAWMiners.com fucked me over. Be wary in dealing with them. on: October 09, 2014, 12:04:48 AM
You ALL seem to be missing the point. I realize that it was my fault for clicking "YES", but there is no reason that I shouldn't have been able to remove them instantly, which the portal would not let me.
Very likely because somebody purchased them immediately.  The portal wouldn't let you because they were no longer yours to remove from the market.
There is no possible way that anyone could have purchased them in the amount of time between when I clicked "Sell" and then "Remove from Market". It was literally a split-second, and I continued to click "remove from market" for at least 2 minutes before it actually sold. So I don't think that is what happened.
GAW probably has a bot that looks for errors like this and then puts in a split-second buy. They profit while you lose. Then they can tell you to gfys if you complain about a mistake.
170  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I was just scammed on: October 08, 2014, 11:42:31 PM
Very rough crowd. I'm sorry if I made a mistake, but I don't want this to happen to anyone else from this person. Yes this is my life savings. When you make just over minimum wage and have 2 kids, then life is tough. I'm also working on bettering myself, but school loans don't help.

Again, I'm sorry if I offended anyone with my stupidity, but greed got the better of me. I had 1500 XC Coins worth about $700 in todays market. I was offered 3.5BTC, I thought I could sell the coins, buy back the XC and then have some money left over for a better christmas holiday for the kids.

Remember, not everyone is lucky enough to be super smart or savvy. I try my best.

Thank you. I won't add to this post anymore.

So someone offered you double of what your XC coins were worth and you didn't question it? Son next time ask people on the forum if the deal is legit. Most will tell you it's a scam.
171  Economy / Computer hardware / Parker t650 thermal grease 80 CC on: October 07, 2014, 04:53:20 PM
Got a load of Parker t650 thermal grease 80 CC to sell. Any one want some in bulk? Great for big projects. General purpose thermal grease for cpus and other stuff that requires thermal paste. I am selling individual containers 80 CC for .05 BTC including shipping in the continental USA.  Take a look at even the cheap stuff on Newegg and you will see that my prices are good. If you need more than 10 of them let me know and we can work a deal for the entire lot. I have over 30 containers.

KNC really needs to ship a bonus Titan to 1 batch buyers. If not then at least an additional module.

This is a beautiful and proper built miner!

Indeed, it's beautiful well built professional grade hardware, if only the price...

Beautiful well built hardware is great but it does no good if btc price keeps falling and difficulty keeps going up. How good is a miner if BTC goes sub $100 and it costs more to power the thing than it earns.  Cry
174  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Spondoolies Question on: October 03, 2014, 10:00:39 PM
Coins are at $360, tell me, why on earth are you considering buying more hardware when it'd be a better use of your funds to just purchase BTC instead of mining?

That said, AM's prisma devices.  They aren't really rack friendly, but you're not going to beat their pricing anywhere.

Well, currently just getting some feedback so if I did want to expand, I had a vetted review of this firm from community members (or at least an alternative to this firm if the reviews came in bad). Trust me, I see your point and may sound crazy for wanting to expand with price oscillating sub 500 for a while now & been thinking of just dumping whatever I would have spent into buying coin, but I don't know if I really want to do that.. Worked pretty hard to get near 100 TH thus far, so its not like we are starting from scratch or anything and I do believe in doing my part to secure the network. I have a data center that I already house miners at so it wouldn't be much of a hassle (except the added electric cost) to get them somewhere secure and temp controlled.  I will def look into the miners you have recommended and appreciate your feedback!

Unless you are getting free hosting and electricity then buying new equipment is going to be really stressful right now and probably in the future. BTC prices going down, sub $350.  Any more and you are looking at negative income. Your only hope is for the difficulty to go down and BTC prices to start going back up. If the opposite happens then you are in a deep trouble. That new SP 35 that now costs $3800 won't mine enough coin to pay the electric bill.  6Th now gets you 2.6 BTC. If BTC falls to sub $100 then your SP 35 won't cover the $260 dollar electric bill at .10 a Kw.

Guys he's a number I used to communicate with him: +12132828234 it looks different from what's been listed here already.

Also he told me he works at San Diego College as network admin, if someone in the States could look into that we may have a lead?

His name is James Cho. Works at Grossmont College in San Diego.

177  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: TECHNOBIT support tread + customer feedback- 800 Ghs enclosed miner -399 EUR on: October 02, 2014, 10:08:07 PM
Hi,
I'm Vesi from Technobit.
Due the fact Martin will be missing for some time from the forum.
I will be posting updates in behalf of technobit.
you can always use also office@technobit.eu
Hi Vesi, this may have been posted somehwhere but i was wondering if these come with coolers pre-attached?
800 ghs 2hex4m?
We sell them in a sheet metal box with 2 side heatsinks , fans and power distribution board on the side.
Everything assembled , you just need to plug 4 PCI-e to the power distribution board and 2 usb on the back

On the technobit website it says the 2hex4m includes a controller box. Is this correct or does it need a tl-mr3020?

Has there been any indication yet of when the compensation Neptunes are going to be shipped?

(The extra/duplicate Neptunes for the first and second batch buyers...)

-MarkM-

They will probably ship compensation Neptunes when they have a new 10nm miner. They will  clear out the dator hall of old Neptunes and ship them as compensation units. Got to make space for the new miner.
179  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: jamesc760 is deleting all posts in his group buy on: October 02, 2014, 03:55:41 AM
He seems to be active on the site and popping his head around, posting in mining-related threads.

Can't anyone who was affected contact his local authorities?

There was a person that was going to e-mail his employer about his scam. Also he could have been running some miners at his job so this would also be a problem for him.

If we have his picture then I am sure it's pretty much easy to track him down and beat the shit out of him right?

I think a better tactic is to confront his family, friends, and colleagues with what he has done. Thru peer pressure he might do the right thing and return BTC. If not then  criminal charges need to be need to be filed against him. Since this scam has occurred online it would probably fall under the jurisdiction of the FBI and not SDPD. They are very meticulous in prosecuting crimes on the internet.
