1  Economy / Speculation / Re: The long term way is down on: February 22, 2022, 07:36:48 PM
I am used to seeing Bitcoin go down drastically and I bet anyone who had been following it does so. Then, it just goes back up with unexplained events.
If you have been through those times, this is nothing.

Its just a matter of a few tweets from some influential people like Elon Musk for bitcoin to go down or up in price. A tweet in support and the price goes up and vice versa.

Demand and supply moves the market. many years back no one believed bitcoin will make an ATH of $1k not to talk of how much value bitcoin has added. january and febuary are mostly bearish so i don't think there is a cause to panic
Referring to the 10k BTC pizza scene, no one would have believed either that a person could actually buy 2 pizza for 10k BTC. No one could have actually thought that the price would rise to such an extent that buying a whole bitcoin could not be possible for the general population and even now bitcoin is still a child and still a lot of growth is happening. But the market suggests the otherwise and is only going down from the start of this year and from what I have seen, the crypto market as a whole should at least be in a bear market for at least the first half of 2022.
2  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your expectation on: February 21, 2022, 01:34:50 PM
Bitcoin will be more popular globally, Bitcoin will be accepted and regulated by more countries in the future.
Bitcoin might be accepted by more establishments in the upcoming years. Nothing more. I don't want to expect too much as there is no surprise to it. Just expect the unexpected whether it would be negative or positive Smiley.
But with bitcoin being legalized in the countries one by one there would be a problem in paying taxes, as in India the taxes on bitcoin investment profits is 30% which is the same tax slab that is being paid by the elite people who earn more than middle class here. And the main problem is that you just can't write off the losses if there are any in case of a bad investment in crypto, so this can be a big problem if you earn less as compared to the amount you invested in crypto and would have to still pay taxes on top of that too. On the other hand people were far better when government was turning a blind eye on crypto industry as a whole.

But bitcoin being legalized comes with ample career opportunities in the country and also now starting a crypto business would be easy as compared to when it was not a legal tender.

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your reason for buying altcoins? on: January 25, 2022, 12:51:12 PM
I am also one of those who brought bitcoins early but also did sell my coins thinking I have made enough profit off of bitcoin and now I am regretting my decision, so what else to do now?? That's the reason why I keep on investing in altcoins and hoping that one day I would potentially hit a gold mine and would redeem the mistake I did with bitcoin. But till now I am still unlucky and not found that project that would make me a millionaire, so the hustle must go on. Another reason would be that altcoins are now being more innovative than that of bitcoin, bitcoin is still the same as it was from the start but it is not the same with altcoins as they are providing more value to cryptocurrency economy and day to day use.
5  Economy / Speculation / Is $34k the bottom?? on: January 23, 2022, 05:43:25 AM
The price was going nuts and now seems to have stopped falling for now and also slowly rising up for a little while as well. What are your thoughts, is it going to fall more or would it start to rise again and recover all the money that was lost.
And what if this rise in price is just temporary and the price would again reach $34k and breach that support as well, what would happen then, what is the next support to look out for in case the market bleeds more in the coming days.
6  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cryptocurrency status at the beginning of the year on: January 23, 2022, 04:51:31 AM

In other words, it will take some time for the market to get better.

This may change and it may not be so long for reversion to start. The price is around $34k and pushing to $30k support and strongly hodling at $35k. On a longer time frame, it is looking like a change is possible to happen anytime soon before the second quarter beginning. This year may still look positive at the end.

If the support gets tested again a couple of times then surely the price can go below $30k and that would mean that the price can further go down and bearish cycle with bitcoin lasts for very long period of time, this is also looking like the case when the Bitcoin price broke $20k mark for the very first time and then in a couple of months the price spiraled down to about $5k. What are your thoughts, are you buying this dip or waiting for the $30k support to break so that you can buy more cheap bitcoins.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Know when to buy and hold on: January 22, 2022, 07:02:27 PM
Exactly, but buying the dip is not a normal thing, everyone doesn't have that kind of brave to open their trade in the bearish market.
Now the spot price is $34K, You know this dump helped the trader to waste their own money and transfer that money to the pocket of whales and manipulators??  Cheesy

yes, every dump is useful for manipulator/whales/crypto_exchanges. they bagged huge money during the dumping moment.
be wise don't feed the manipulators, hodl tight, and don't be panic.
That's right, at least there must be a large enough capital when you really want to do something like this.
because as you said, most people are not too bold to buy when the market is like now.
although this is indeed a good thing, of course we also don't forget the analysis which is indeed a support to make at least the choices we take can be accompanied by good data
Isn't it good to buy more at the time of a market dip, most of the new investors get afraid of dump when they see the amount of money that they hold in their wallet go down by more than 10%-15% in just a day or two. They panic sell at that time and then regret their decision later that why they sold their holdings in case of a dump instead they could have just waited for the market to recover and then would have made some profit buying the crash. I always look out for the crash as an opportunity to buy cheap coins and secure a better position in that coin and fill my bags.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where should I invest money? on: January 21, 2022, 06:46:48 PM
This coin isn't trusted that much and chances of it going to go to the bottom very soon are higher than it going to moon. So that is the reason that people aren't talking about this coin. High APY can be sometimes misleading, even if you get 19% return over your invested amount of tokens but then also you can be in a situation where you have lost money as this coin is highly volatile, so most probably a market crash in the future would be inevitable.
I would suggest you to invest in more established investments that can land you big money maybe with a 6% or less APY as the market is currently in a bear cycle and when the price starts to rise again then it will surely be good to have your money invested somewhere safe rather than lying around here and there.

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you fear the president of your country, one day, making Crypto illegal ? on: October 15, 2020, 11:07:55 PM
I think every crypto enthusiast is scared of it,
Who wouldn't be scared when their investment and source of extra income would be illegal on their country?

If that would be illegal, you can still find a way to trade crypto as it's anonymous, you can send it from country where it's legal and let them do the job for you, actually you can always find a way if you are a crypto enthusiast. Maybe I'm just lucky that crypto is legal in our country but I'm pretty sure some other countries where cypto is illegal are still enjoy crypto in ways they can avoid getting caught.
P2P method is what will be used if any country bans bitcoin and people still want to buy and sell cryptocurrencies. Classic example is of India where p2p trades were prioritized after their government banned the cryptocurrency trading and buying and froze all the bank accounts of the companies that were doing such things and after implementation of the ban there was a huge boom in the p2p part of cryptocurrency buying and selling just because of the need. So, in the same way there would be another method made for such purposes once a country bans cryptocurrencies.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi Bubble Burst? on: October 11, 2020, 02:46:09 PM
The DeFi market is bleeding but everyone is not affected by it. Some made a good amount of money in this hype and exit when they have profit. DeFi just slows down and it's not the right time to say its just a bubble. It could be a whale's market manipulation so that they can buy them at a low price. DeFi project has practical use so it's not totally worthless.
Not all of the DeFi projects have a practical value, some are just like those ICO tokens that were not good for anything and still got millions in the ICO round with the help of public hype. I guess it is the cleansing round where the market is under correction and once it is done then only those DeFi projects will remain which are having a genuine use like Link, UNI and BZRX token both are good tokens and have a good future as well and the price is surely gonna rise with the increase in number of users.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stable coins for bounty hunters on: October 11, 2020, 01:14:10 PM
I think the project wont increase their cost for bounty hunters. They already struggle on development stage so i think only few project want to pay bounty hunter with stable coins. Last time i joined injective bounty they pay the bounty hunters with ETH first phase. For second and third phase they pay with USDT.
Maybe because of the fact that the ETH price changes with the market and thus the team would have to spend more or less if they buy the ETH earlier depending on the market but by paying for the USDT already at the start of the bounty, the budget of the team won't be affected by the market fluctuations. I also think that the participants should be paid in terms of the stable coins or maybe in the terms of a coin that is having a reputation and not in terms of the token created by the team. Because when the people join the bounty they join it because the amount promised in terms of USD equivalent value is always pretty high but the actual return is way too low.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Finally!! McAfee is arrested in Spain and now facing extradition on: October 11, 2020, 12:22:12 PM
I would be really glad if this loser is extradited to the United States. He ruined so many lives, and caused hundreds of millions of USD in losses to the cryptocurrency users, by promoting scam ICOs. He continued to promote them even after knowing that these projects were scams. Those who invested in these projects after listening to him lost their hard earned savings. I hope he will spend the rest of his life behind bars.
Moreover he was also accepting the payments without even auditing the projects, so he wasn't doing any good for the society from the start. He was always having bad intentions towards this community and he was just shilling all the coins for the reasons of profit and I also support his extradition to the US and I hope he will see a long prison time once extradited and only then he would understand his wrong doing and that he shouldn't have done the scam with the crypto investors, a lot of the people who invested were really dependent on that money for their daily needs.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: UNISWAP (UNI) is driving me CRAZY!! on: October 11, 2020, 11:28:13 AM
Dang, 2 million is really a lot of money. I do earn some good money from Altcoin but 2 million? that is too much money than i can ever imagine, especially to get it from Airdrop. I actually missed UNI airdrop because i just got back from hiatus crypto world  Grin. Anyway, take care your money carefully because i heard most people who got jackpot or get rich instantly can't really maintain their money, i hope you're not one of them.
$2 million is really a lot of money, even if the OP mishandles some part of it, he would still be left with actually a lot of money. I wasn't among the fortunate people who got free UNI in the airdrop, I never actually used the exchange in the past but actually used to see it for arbitrages and other money making opportunities but wasn't able to cashin on any opportunity. This airdrop gave me goosebumps, imagine the OP's reaction when he would have just opened his wallet and found the $2 million worth of tokens in it and the same wallet would have $0 value a day earlier.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is to be the beginning of the rise of cryptocurrency on: October 11, 2020, 10:47:56 AM
Without right regulation and/or nice pump we will not see the real beginning of crypto
Nice pumps often happen in the market but the real problem is the dumps that take the price back down, people start selling their coins for a small profit where they can get nice profit if they just wait and let the price to go further up. This will benefit the individuals as well as society as a whole when the value of everyone's assets will increase drastically. I feel the rise of cryptocurrencies have already occurred and we are in the mid point of the change from the fiat to cryptocurrencies just some patience and as you said regulations can change the impossible into a reality.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you find out about new projects? on: October 10, 2020, 07:20:38 PM
I use https://icobench.com/ web site to find out about new legit projects. In ICObench you can easily find out new or upcoming project very easily .
You can also check https://icodrops.com/
Don't you think that these opinions are biased just like the users claim that they take money from the project marketing teams to boost up the ICO ratings which makes pretty easy to scam the people and thus these sites aren't that reliable anymore and I think there is a need for decentralized ICO rating websites that can work on proof of person mechanism just like IDENA can be implemented in the voting system, with the use of which the ratings can't be manipulated by a single identity and would also be reliable because it will reflect what the community thinks about the project.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH 2.0 And High Transaction Fees.. on: October 10, 2020, 03:52:31 PM
If the gas price is not reduce after starting ETH 2.0. People will seek for another blockchain. This cause the user of ether will decrease. One day ether will lose their user.
Ethereum is a pretty good blockchain project and as far as I know it will be pretty hard for the users as well as the organizations to move their smart contract to any other blockchain and with such secure code. So I think even if the fees isn't reduced after the ETH 2.0 goes live on mainnet then too the people will stick to it, although it will be sad for me also to see the high transaction fees in the ETH 2.0 as well, I used to arbitrage the coins on the Dexes but with the high transaction fees involved in these transactions it has become pretty hard to do so.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT TYPE OF CRYPTO INVESTOR ARE YOU? on: October 10, 2020, 12:31:12 PM
I am one of those people who sell their coins as soon as they get listed on the exchange which many a times have actually backfired on me and now I am shifting towards holding kind because here I have seen that a lot of people are doing the same thing and also getting good returns as compared to sell straight away right after the coin is listed on the exchange. All the new coins get dumped after the exchange lists the coin and then after some time when the dumping is done then the real money making period gets started, which I wasn't able to participate in almost every time when I invested in the projects.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Name really matter in crypto? on: October 10, 2020, 11:40:25 AM
Yes, I think Name and team members really matter in crypto project succees. For any project to be successful, they must have a CEO, Roadmaps, Objectives and Future Plans.
Most importantly the cosmetic appearance matters much more than that of anything, even the name too. People always love the name of the project but more than that they love the look of the website and the whitepaper and other documents and presentations by the team as the name can easily be remembered after repeating it for a few times but the website has to be perfect for it to attract more and more people and also the other thing that matters the most is the work done by the team, as it happens in the industry that people promise a lot more in the start than what they can actually do in reality and then they under-perform which shouldn't be done.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does bounty still kind of worth on 2020? on: October 10, 2020, 10:59:51 AM
I still do believe that joining and participating in a bounty campaign/project is still a thing and is really worth of our efforts and time we just need to make sure that the bounty that we are participating is a legit one by doing researches for our assurance as well.
I am quiet disappointed by the bounties that are running these days, all of them do biggest promises that the participants will be getting a lot in return by just participating in the bounties but when they get the money in their hands even after participating in a legit bounty then the profit is very less as compared to what they were promised initially. Although I like the ones that are actively traded on the exchanges and are paid weekly instead of paying in the end of the entire duration of the campaign.
