21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if "De-Fi" platforms become regulated in the future? on: October 09, 2020, 10:58:25 AM
Every ico or defi or any other startup must register as a legal company. They sell their tokens for real money which is stored at a bank. And any bank, even if it is a private company, must enclose the information about its clients to the government of the country where it is legally registered. So decentralization is a kind of illusion)))
In this case the money is stored in the form of cryptocurrencies and as the name suggests that these exchanges are decentralized and there isn't any central authority that is holding your funds, so why they should provide any information about the transactions happening at their platform, this sounds like a really bad idea. There isn't any point in making the decentralized exchanges regulated as they only provide the exchange as a medium to do the trading in an anonymous manner where people shouldn't trust each other but have to trust the technology behind the system which is much better and the chances of getting scammed are reduced to nil.
22  Other / Archival / Re: DeFi hyip is over? on: October 09, 2020, 10:13:14 AM
Yes, You are right. DiFi falling day by day.
Are you new to crypto? Its not like a gold or most of stocks - it is a volatile market, and at first it looks like the end of the world.
But eventually, it will be good for most of crypto investors, unless you a) fomo sell on the dip b)fomo buy when something already blewup and mooned.
A lot of scammers were taking the advantage of the lack of regulation in the DeFi market and were doing notorious activities by scamming people by creating fake DeFi projects and on a daily basis a lot of new projects were announced due to which it became very hard for the investors to find the right projects to invest in, but now these scams are going down in number and I guess in future we will see lot more genuine projects than these scams. Everyone is including the defi name in their projects to get cashed on the hype as well.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you find out about new projects? on: October 09, 2020, 08:45:33 AM
I honestly don't look too much for new projects, but this forum is a good source since most new projects have their bounties and ANN threads here.  I also gather news thru some of my friends here, some of us share news and projects that look promising. But as I mentioned, I mostly invest in established projects to lessen the risk of being scammed.
By the term established projects what do you mean, That you invest in the projects that are already listed on exchanges or that the projects which are currently in ICO but have raised good amount of funds. I must say that in both of these cases the amount of money that you can make is very low as compared to investing in ICO in early stages where you can literally make 10x of your investment if the project takes off after getting listed on the exchanges.
For me also this forum serves as a great resource for finding out about new projects and their important announcements. But there is a problem too as on daily basis a lot of projects post their announcement and only a few are good, so a lot of spam has to be filtered out of the watchlist also.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the next trend for 2021? on: October 08, 2020, 08:57:45 PM
Next year maybe for non fungible token but whatever trend is, all trends will be good because of bullrun. Bullrun may be this year, but the highest result goes to next year. I wouldn't be surprised if cryptocurrency made this year's bullrun. Still Bitcoin doesn't overcome 20k USD, so maybe next year. Whatever trend is, I will follow only legitimate projects.
Bitcoin can overcome the $20k price in the remaining time that is left in the year 2020 because most of the times the pumps are the phases that begin as an exponential growth in price and not as a slow and steady curve in the trendlines. But year 2021 will definitely be a great year for the investors but I think that the bounty participants should find another source for their income as current pay rates aren't good at all for the work provided by the participants and the efforts that they put into it.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Now Bounty Program totally worth less !! 90% Bounties are scam on: October 08, 2020, 07:58:46 PM
There are some bounties that are all right. You need to do your own research and only go for the ones that you know are solid. If you dont understand the project or it seems to good to be true, then it probably is, and you should go for something a bit more down to earth.
But most of the times when we go for the projects that are down to earth then in most of the cases those projects fail to get much attention by the public and tend to not collect the desired amount of money, whereas the projects that seem too much unrealistic are the ones that give good returns over investment, investment being either the time that the bounty participants spent in promoting the project or it can either be the money that the person invested in the project.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Telegram is trash on: October 03, 2020, 02:29:01 PM
telegram has a lot of features and one can easily use the telegram channel to commit fraud. Not surprisingly, I often encounter several types of fake airdrop bots, high giveaway offers, fake members and many other negative things. I'm not saying that telegram is trash, it's just that telegram is a hotbed of fraud.
I especially hate those project groups in which you are added unwillingly just because you are following some crypto channels on telegam, that is too shady. Also these giveaways are just for the marketing purposes as people will get to know about the project and they will be saving a lot of money on marketing. Airdrops aren't paying good recently, it used to feel good in the past when there used to be a new coin in your wallet out of no where each week and then they used to give good money when you used to sell them on the exchange(if they ever got listed).
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you sure crypto is the future currency? on: October 02, 2020, 01:14:10 PM
Not really because crypto currencty will be a sort of like a investment or a digital currency with volatile value and thia should only be used in this purpose or it could be a means for payment.

People can adapt cryptocurrency but the fiat currency still works best and never I think it could be change. We ca  do online transaction but I think never it will happen that digital currency like cryptocurrency will be the future currency.

Probably most online transaction or money if involved will definitely back up by the fiat currency and that is I am certain of course.
So you don't think that we will be sending millions of dollars worth in value digitally like that shown in movies and also buying the day to day services with the same currency like that shown in Mr. Robot with E-coin. I guess it is going to be the future where cash will be ditched for the digital currencies but the world adapting cryptocurrencies in the mainstream isn't gonna happen for sure, the digital payments will be more like centralized payments where banks would rule as to how much money will be printed.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My take on DeFi bounties on: October 02, 2020, 11:51:26 AM
5. Reverse image search of each member’s photos
6. Looking up the office address in Google to see if it’s original or being taken by an existing company

I don’t usually trust DeFi projects with anonymous team, because most of them would likely exit scam even if they get listed on Uniswap, TrustSwap, etc.
These points are completely new that I haven't read before and on second thought if I did invest some of my time doing this research then definitely I will be getting better results off my investments as the rest of the points can actually be faked like the team interviews and the profiles can also be brought, but honestly going to such details will be done only by that team that is serious towards the project like having their own physical office n all. Today most of the DeFi projects are having anonymous team members and still people are investing money in those projects without any thought.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best Altcoin to Invest on: October 02, 2020, 07:17:12 AM
A good coin is a coin that has a large market, volume and interest maybe this coin is a TOP coinbecause the TOP coin has all its criteria
I chose XRP for investment because XRP is still fairly stable and for today price XRP has increased

It has certainly all this criterion because volume plays a vital role. More the demand of the coin it will have higher volumes, and this will also mean the price will be rising because of increase in demand. I would choose ETH/BNB over XRP because in few years XRP has not risen as compared to ETH and demand for ETH is much higher than XRP. Also, in long term ETH may grow much larger than XRP.
Choosing BNB is actually a great idea, as it is the token of Binance exchange and if the exchange performs well then the coin will surely rise and currently there is not a single problem with the exchange and I think in the future too it will remain the same as well. I think IDENA is also a great alternative if you are looking foreward at least 1 or 2 years, it is having the concept of proof of person where only a single person would be able to make a single node as maintaining more than one node is not at all possible as there are validation check every 15 days and if a person miss the validation check then he won't be eligible to run a node and thus he can't mine IDNA.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: UNI - The First Trillion Dollar Crypto? on: October 02, 2020, 06:23:20 AM
I can't give any comments about UNI, but I thank you also for getting 400 UNI for free from some of my active wallets that are used to trade on uniswap, that's cool but I didn't hold it for too long and already sold it some time ago
That’s a good strategy since we don’t know what will happen to this project right after its current hype. UNI is good but making its own way to Trillion Dollar will take time just like what Bitcoin is doing right now and this is not an easy goal for every project in cryptomarket. If there’s a bullish market then we might see some coins/tokens rushing into the top spot but since we are down again, this wont happen anytime this year or even next year.
yes because I was just trying to find it safe and changed it to stabilcoin so it would be easier for me to store it and the price wouldn't fall too if I held stabilcoin, I didn't expect to hold it and even though the price is high now, I don't regret it
And what was the price of the UNI token when you sell it?? I bet it wasn't that much as no one would have known then that the coin will be worth so much in the future.
You did what most of the people does with an airdropped token, just sell and reap the profits from it even a dollar matters, even I also did the same with most of the tokens that were airdropped in my wallet, sold most of them whenever I could just make enough money from those coins excluding fess, if the price was too low that even the fees would not be recovered by selling the token then I would let them sit in my wallet till they became profitable to sell.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HOW CAN ONE KNOW A FAKE AIRDROP? on: October 02, 2020, 05:12:09 AM
Well some airdrops are real while others are scams .The best way to know whether an airdrop is real or fake is to make a research about the project like visiting their social media channels, website and telegram and in that way if you are lucky you will be able to choose the right one. Most genuine airdrop don't ask you send funds or buy their tokens so just be careful and take note.

I prefer the last point which is not asking for funds or buying the tokens, from there we know that the project is giving free airdrops. If you find an airdrop form, you just fill it according to the question, but don't fill out the form with privacy data.
A lot of airdrops do ask for the documents like proof of identity for confirming that you are a real person as now a days most people are claiming the airdrops by making a lot of alt accounts and bots. I guess if I think that the airdrop is actually a good project and not another crap project then I will definitely give my documents to them for the verification purposes along with a watermark in the picture that is for what purpose this document was used so as to be safe from identity theft and misuse of that image if it falls into wrong hands.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HOW CAN ONE KNOW A FAKE AIRDROP? on: October 01, 2020, 02:05:19 PM
Anytime I go into my telegram account, I see countless number of airdrop with countless offers but the challenge is trying to know which of this airdrop that is genuine.
Airdrop hunting is almost dead now, I know a lot of people are still applying for airdrops but it isn't worth it anymore as these aren't profitable anymore because of the increase in number of users that are in it for quick profit. I guess it will be better to rank up a twitter or Facebook account and use that account for these purposes as it will be more profitable than applying for 100s of worthless coins that will be filling your wallet and not having any future at all. Right now most of the airdrops are complete scam and they on't even be listed on any exchange in the future.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gold or Bitcoin on: October 01, 2020, 01:14:09 PM
If you ask people who support bitcoin then obviously I guess, the answer is bitcoin. But, regardless I think it is best to invest in both if you have a lot of money to invest. But if you only want to invest in one basket, then I guess it just needs to be adjusted and think about gold being good for the long term and vice versa, you will make quick profits in bitcoin taking advantage of the volatile price.
I think bitcoin is also good for long term investments because of its growth potential and the limited supply of bitcoins which isn't offered by gold at all as it is still being mined currently and even on a much larger scale than ever before. Also watching the price of gold as compared to bitcoin from the emergence of bitcoin it can be clearly seen that it is definitely beating gold and is much ahead in terms of profit gained by investing in bitcoin. Even I also have some gold bars with me but still bitcoin is much more enticing market for me.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Less Volatile Coins on: October 01, 2020, 12:07:28 PM
Purpose of the investing is multiplying your capital. Stable coins are really less dangerous, but they won`t give you profit. I think buying stable coins is a good idea only when you are taking profit from your investments and you need to count it or buy another assets
Stable coins would not be a good choice to invest into as they don't increase in price and thus there won't be any benefit in buying those coins where you would only be parking your money in the stable coins. Thus the best investments would be the cryptocurrencies that are in the top 10s or so as most of the times the rankings are quiet constant and they only drop in value once the market starts to crash. My advice is to buy bitcoin, ethereum and bitcoin cash which is currently gaining much support from the people as well.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where Are You Next 5 Years? on: October 01, 2020, 06:58:49 AM
It's hard to say if the next five years if I would still buy and hold cryptocurrencies as a long-term investment and used it as one of my sources of income because I might focus on my career at that time. But if I already decided that I would still buy and hold cryptocurrencies while concentrating on my career. I think I already have enough money to buy my parents a new house or a car from that time.
I would advise you to only buy a house by selling the crypto investments if you want to as it will be counted as an asset on your balance sheet but the car will be a liability on your asset sheet and buying the car would definitely be a bad idea. I think in the next 5 years I am targeting to be a whale in some of the cryptocurrencies that aren't in the top 10 in the market cap as it will be pretty hard to become a whale in the top 10 cryptocurrencies, and the future also looks good with so much innovation going on in the cryptocurrency community, as in 2017 ICO were a big thing then came the IEO and now it is DeFi and in the future there will be more amazing things to look out for and to capitalize on the money making opportunity.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can I go into this crypto???? on: October 01, 2020, 05:59:14 AM
I have a couple of bars that I bought a long time ago - and I'm not going to sell them until the very severe days.
This is my most solid reserve of all, and I have never regretted that I bought "physical" gold instead of opening a metal account or just buying virtual gold.
Buying physical gold is always the right choice as the websites come and go but the physical gold will always be there with you and you can also sleep sound in night knowing that the gold is safe in your arms rather than worrying over it when it is there on a website represented just as a number in your account. I also invest in gold but only on certain special occasions like any anniversary otherwise I only invest in cryptocurrencies which always give better and safer return to me in my entire history of investing.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hacker started to eliminate tokens stolen from KuCoin on: September 30, 2020, 08:08:24 PM
Even with more of these hacks we still face a major problem in finding out the real culprit behind these hacks and now more and more people are doing these hacks so as to get rich quick because of the challenges that the investigators face in differentiating the addresses associated with the hacker and that of a normal customer after the funds have been mixed on a high volume mixer. I hardly think that the hacker would ever be caught and be punished for his actions and if not punished then he will be doing more of these hacks in the future.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH 2.0 And High Transaction Fees.. on: September 30, 2020, 05:35:31 PM
The launch of eth 2.0 will be postponed.

Since the multi-client testnet served as an important pathway to Serenity, this was considered an emergency.

Therefore, it cannot be determined that the Ethereum 2.0 rollout will take place in July 2020.

Ethereum will still be around and if eth 2.0 fails then network costs will still be high.
Another postponement can’t help ETH network and many will panic again so if the 2.0 didn’t happen this year then the higher fees can’t be solve by just the market itself. The ETH developer have to listen and see the investors are raising their voice to address the higher fees issues, the 2.0 should successfully implement without any delay.
But he would also be considering the fact that there would still be many hidden bugs in the platform that needs to be solved and if those bugs aren't solved and the launch is hurried then the same can happen just like that of the DAO hack that made the ethereum blockchain to be forked. That was a blunder but not on the part of the ethereum team, also a lot of projects are tokenised on the ethereum chain and thus they have to be careful and should sort most of the critical bugs before rolling out the update so as to be ensured that there aren't any bugs left.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Ripple (XRP) might be the future of digital payments on: September 30, 2020, 04:05:26 PM
Paying in XRP offers many advantages to traders, but the question is, to whom will the transaction costs pass?
...there are no miners of Ripple coin. So, who gets the fee? No one!
In this unique mechanism, the XRP that is used for paying fees is destroyed.
This means that the number of XRPs are reducing day by day. This also implies that the value of the XRPs that remains is expected to increase in the future.
Ripple is being piloted by many large financial institutions and payment apps. This is one of the key reasons that Ripple is a favorite among investors.

As usual, all coins are bound to have their flaws and XRP cannot be separated from that.
Some of the shortcomings of XRP that of course you don't like are Centralization, Focused on large corporations, Competition

Source
[1] https://www.bitdegree.org/crypto/ripple-coin#ripple-cons

So you mean to say that ripple is not having any miners and the coins in fees are constantly being burned!! That is really a good thing but still the fact that it is a centralized coin is the biggest drawback that any coin could have because whenever hey want they can increase the circulating supply of XRP or they cant?? I don't know this for sure, if this is the case then XRP does actually pose a major drawback and we as crypto users and investors should avoid using XRP which I always have been doing till now.
Please do tell me that the supply is fixed or it can also be changed or not??
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My take on DeFi bounties on: September 30, 2020, 02:26:06 PM
Almost 99 percent of DeFi projects in bounty section are scam, you can say I have no prove but this is just my normal thought.

1. Why are almost all bounties released today DeFi projects?
2. Most of these projects have no information about team
( They are complete anonymous)
3. Majority of them are rushed, you can judge merely looking at website domain and designs
4. There are some that based on Uniswap wannabes

You can't compare these projects with real DeFi projects like introduced bounties like Oikos, Lattice, DIA, and few others, my advice is to be extremely picky after doing research
Domains are also just recently registered for most of the projects that you are talking about which clearly indicates that these projects were built in a hurry and are only there for the scamming purposes and we won't be getting anything decent in return for the hard work that we would be doing in promoting these bounties, so it will be better for us to shift our time and energy towards other projects that are going to give us good and promising return not just smoke and mirrors that most of these projects are offering right now.
