1  Economy / Economics / Tariffs work on: September 19, 2024, 02:17:37 PM
The reality is that Trump has kept being attacked very viciously by many cronies of the Democratic party in the media.
Nowadays there are very few unbiased sources when it comes to economic analysis so you should be careful what you take for granted.

Go watch any video from US prime time news segments analyzing the policies of both candidates for the upcoming US presidential election and you'll see Trump being blased about tariffs.
What about Biden then? What did he do with tariffs? Guess what, he introduced even more tariffs than Trump did and even expanded on the previous ones. Want to look at the results? US Aluminum and Steel corporations are absolutely booming. Conducting more business, having increased profits and retaining and even increasing their workers at a time where many industries are shedding staff.

What's the issue with tariffs then? What went wrong when Trump introduced them in his first term?
The issue largely with tariffs is that there's an economic shock when they are implemented. The effect they have is that certain businesses will suffer, but eventually the revenue generated from tariffs by the government can help intervene and create more jobs to balance the economy and help those affected. But this takes time, maybe a couple of years, for the dust to settle.

So if Biden implemented so many tariffs, who's saying Kamala won't keep them if she gets elected also? And if Biden implemented tariffs on the same sectors, who can say that they don't work, especially only when Trump does them? Consider this when you tune in to the news the next time.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slot Strategies- Sticking with One Game or Switching it Up? on: September 19, 2024, 02:09:38 PM
There's no strategy in slots.
If you're curious about what goes on behind the scenes with slots you should consider things further than just what luck is. Consider what the RTP rate is and if the slot you're playing is based on a provably fair mechanism or not.

Because otherwise the randomness is trust based. Generally speaking provably fair can be more fair to you in proving that the rolls are pre-determined but also consider that the house edge or RTP matters a lot in the long run. And most slots fail to mention if their RTP changes if you buy bonuses etc. So if you want to talk about "strategy" these are the things to consider. They might give you a very marginal advantage statistically speaking.

But speaking from experience I know slots players don't really want to look into any of that. Just go for what's more fun to you then if stats sound too boring.  Cheesy

But Kamala is a well known Communist, who follows the Marxist-Leninist-Stalinist ideology. Wealth redistribution is one of her priorities, and ownership of cryptocurrency goes against that policy.

Kamala is only a well known Communist among those who are ignorant when it comes to the idea of Communism.
It's funny how Trump calls Kamala a communist. People in the US make communism into a big bogey man. It's so funny to explain to an American what communism stands for through deductive questions.
Ask anyone in the U.S. if they'd like to partake in the decision making process in their workplace, to have a say how much money ends up in their pocket, to be guaranteed affordable gas, healthcare food and education. Who would say no? The ideas people associate communism and largely leftism are so out of the ordinary that whoever knows what the left really stands for can't help but laugh.

For most of the world, Kamala isn't even center left, she's right wing. Imperialism under Biden with her as vice president reaches its peak.
Honestly lack of education in the U.S. is a huge problem and could very well end up being the country's downfall.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greek 2024–25 Super League Predictions & Discussion on: September 19, 2024, 01:27:58 PM
As usual, the teams that often compete in European competitions are at the top of the standings, currently there are Olympiacos, PAOK and AEK Athens who are in first to third place. BTW, I don't see Panathinaikos in the top, what's wrong with them this season? only got 1 win, 2 draws and 1 loss.
It's hard to explain Greek football without sounding a bit conspiratorial. The top Greek teams go through cycles of debt, changes of ownership between some ultra rich man, raising capital and then continuing to mount debt. What do they have to gain from this? It's a very good question. Why would these men who own some very profitable businesses keep sinking money into these teams, especially since the previous owners couldn't turn a profit either.

There are many theories as to why this could be happening. Either as a way to buy local influence, or earning more through some shadowy part of the economy (i.e. using ultras to distribute drugs, sell protection, beat opponents and do various dirty deeds). It's a very odd history. Panathinaikos is one of the few teams in Greece functioning as an S.A. and yet the vast majority of the shares is still owned by an ultra-rich ship owner.

@Alani123 Any thoughts about this weekend's game of OFI vs. Levadiakos? The odds are tempting, even though it looks like a risky match. However, judging by their previous match against Aris, I'm pretty confident that they're in a good form and have decent chances of winning this match. The other matches offer mediocre odds, and even though we have a few days left till it's weekend, I'm still unsure if I'm going to participate.

If we take the stats released for tax purposes by the teams for granted, they're all mounting debt and depend a lot on participation in European tournaments to receive revenue. Are their tax statements true also? Nobody knows for real. But Greek football has many interesting phenomena if you look deep into it.

I think it makes sense to bet on OFI for this match for sure. Levadiakos aren't performing as well so far so I don't know why the odds for OFI seem like that. I'd take the chances with these odds though to bet on an OFI win.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Using casino bonus frequently is an abused? on: September 19, 2024, 01:34:59 AM
Casino deposit bonuses are supposed to be a one time thing usually. Or at least each bonus should be used once per person depending on the promotion.

If you admit to signing up for multiple accounts then what is there to discuss? Clearly you're in violation of the terms of service, so it's not harsh to say this is abuse. It's the very definition of it. Whenever you get a bonus you're agreeing that you'll get it only once, and yet you went on to make multiple accounts for this very promotion.

In my view if the casino knew of this they should have blocked you from making accounts too, but better late than sorry. Imagine if you had already won and they told you afterwards your winnings aren't valid. At least they were upstanding in that regard.
6  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Intrek Project on: September 18, 2024, 07:55:42 PM
This sounds very much like a HYIP or Ponzi and it's a bit suspicious in the first place that someone would mention it as their first post here.

But giving OP the benefit of the doubt, I'd say that you should stay away from this ponzi because it's just an attempt to steal your money with these ridiculous looking APRs. There's tons of such schemes, if you feel like you have money to risk at least might as well try DeFi where you know that the contracts are open and it's not as centralized. Just my two cents.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 U.S. Presidential Election Bets! on: September 18, 2024, 05:59:22 PM
Unless Trump brings some common sense politics to beat Kamala with the popular vote I think at this point he doesn't have much hope for a shot to the presidency.

LOL.. seriously? Check this:

https://www.realclearpolling.com/maps/president/2024/no-toss-up/electoral-college

According to Democrat leaning pollster RCP, Trump is favored to win the electoral college, although Kamala may win the popular vote. We still have more than one and half months to go for the elections. And the more Kamala campaigns among the independent voters, the more of these voters will desert her. Kamala is boosted by the mainstream media and establishment mainly. But this effect is not a permanent one. The impact will wean off after some time, and then she is going to struggle against Trump.
Things are not as easy for Trump. The trend is that he keeps performing worse in national polls, but even in terms of the electoral map, things ain't easy.

Trump must win on several battleground states to secure his re-election.

Georgia, Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania are going to be the most impaction. As per latest polls, Trump is only slightly ahead in Georgia and Arizona. Maybe North Carolina as well if we're generous.
The issue here is that Trump would need to win at least one more of the above and Harris seems to be performing better in the Northern states for some reason.

Will Trump manage to get people more in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania or Michigan on his side? Hopefully, but it's going to be hard based on current trends.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 U.S. Presidential Election Bets! on: September 18, 2024, 04:24:49 PM
The thing is that after the elections, the already victorious candidate does not need to present himself as someone who is loyal to something in order to collect more votes. After the elections, I will not be surprised at all if the positive rhetoric and conversations turn in the other direction and the regulator's actions become tougher. Moreover, I think that this is what will happen. Therefore, I am absolutely not flying in the sky and am not happy about the promises that presidential candidates are making now, although I notice how many are so happy with today's positive rhetoric that they simply lose their heads. I advise such people to come down to earth and evaluate everything soberly.

Trump is already accusing Kamala of copying his policies. But then, he also claims that she is doing all that just to get the centrist vote. If she gets elected, then she will refuse to acknowledge any of these promises. And when it comes to Bitcoin, trust me Kamala is going to be 100 times worse than Biden. The latter was at least nominally "moderate". But Kamala is a well known Communist, who follows the Marxist-Leninist-Stalinist ideology. Wealth redistribution is one of her priorities, and ownership of cryptocurrency goes against that policy.
What policies were there for Kamala to copy?
She already had 4 years as vice president to copy the good parts, she didn't need to do that in the campaign trail...

Biden's administration did indeed keep and strengthen certain policies, but they're very few. I can think of tariffs for instance, Biden introduced even more tariffs.
But really there's few similarities. For most policies Kamala has Trump comes out and calls her a communist, which is quite the insult to real communists.

US politics has become very unhinged and nonsensical thanks to Trump.
Unless Trump brings some common sense politics to beat Kamala with the popular vote I think at this point he doesn't have much hope for a shot to the presidency.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2024/25 Season on: September 18, 2024, 03:52:45 PM
I looked at the match fixtures and realized PAOK will have a very hard time advancing past playoffs.
Playing with Galatasaray and Manchester United?

It'll surely be entertaining to see these matches but I think PAOK will have a very hard time against such great teams. Nevertheless it's a honor to have two Greek teams in the league this year.
Hopefully PAOK and Olympiakos have some luck so we can see Greek football advancing with them.

I think this post served its purpose for now so I will lock it.

For the record, cryptosize had made multiple responses each thread I linked. Some got deleted. Whether deleted by him or mods, we don't know for sure. But if you're curious use loycev's tool to see deleted posts. If also he got temp banned, there's no way to know because it doesn't show up in the mod logs.

To cryptosize: I hope you realize threats are uncalled for and we can be calm in the future. Cheers.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How does a completely automated/ robot controlled casino centre sound? on: September 17, 2024, 11:03:16 PM
When online casinos came around this was kind of a concern. People were worried they wouldn't like the lack of physical interaction and feedback.

The issue largely is that it was something entirely new. Nowdays slots machines have no physical components, in the casino you can find video roulette and poker too and even play when everyone else is gone. So to a large extent casinos are already utilizing automation. Now we've reached a point where if a certain casino replaced all dealer staff, it would have been something not as radical based on what we've seen so far. So I don't think there's anything new in that. Probably some people would prefer the more traditional one, but certainly curiosity would get the best of some people and many of them may make it a habit to visit the robot casino too. So all in all I think we've reached a point where this wouldn't be too much out of the ordinary.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do AML systems evaluate cryptocurrency withdrawn from casinos? on: September 17, 2024, 04:37:30 PM
It's not as advanced as they like to play it out as.
Many casinos use a very centralized storage system for their funds so it's easy to figure out which addresses belong to them when withdrawing. So third party observers that just have access to the blockchain are able to see if you're transacting with a casino so long as they know your BTC address.

So if a third party service associates your funds with a casino then they're just using this basic technique, perhaps going back one or two transactions, doing blockchain forensics in their most basic form, to determine that the funds originated from a casino. In that occasion I'd just start using another exchange. Not very many exchanges have an issue with funds from casinos, so it makes sense for not to boycott the ones that do.

I'm starting to suspect the guy may have been temp banned. I can't believe such a person would show that level of restraint to not post here being crazy as well.
14  Other / Meta / Re: Good ol' case of the crazies in bitcointalk on: September 16, 2024, 11:34:44 PM
I have the protagonist of the story on ignore for some reason but I don't remember why.
~snip~

You're not the only one, I have it on ignore too and I think it's because of some of the posts in WO, although I'm pretty sure I've never appreciated that kind of expression anywhere on the forum.

@alani123, if you think you have received a serious threat, then you should act in a way to report it, whether it is a public post or a PM. If the moderators/admin do not think that something should be done, the only option is to put that user on ignore, as well as all members of your local community. Such people live on the attention of others, if you deprive them of it, they will quiet down very quickly.
I have no interest in reporting him to the authorities because then he could have my information by the police officially and potentially sue me. It's silly how police reports work in some countries. Even if you go to a police station bloodied to report a crime you can end up in jail for the night because the assailant sued you back.

This topic should be moved to Reputation board, not in Meta.
The threat part along with him following me around in the forum and posting in my threads off-topic just because he was annoyed with me is why I'm posting here, hoping to draw some attention by mods because I feel as though some rules are violated. Otherwise I don't care about cryptosize's reputation. He might be a good person to trade with, not taking a debate well and having short temper is another thing.

you also mentioned that you guys made arrangements for physical meeting
lol no, that's not what I said.

Cryptosize asked me to give him my phone number so he can arrange to meet up with me to "settle our differences in person".
Of course I have zero interest in meeting a dude cursing down my bloodline.
But supposedly he's already working on tracking me down and "has my IP" as he said. This sounds like a threat to me.

For those who probably were not even born when Palestine was split by the 2 factions you should ref https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fatah%E2%80%93Hamas_conflict. At one time there was hope for Palestine & Israel to co-exist but Hamas has adamantly refused that option even to the point of splitting Palestine in twain.
You should really watch this video before commenting on the issue:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pt_1k7nSv1M

You clearly lack knowledge on Palestine's history and I'd recommend to hold off promoting such strong opinions before educating yourself on the matter at hand.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Portugal has launched a 7 Euro Coin to honor Cristiano Ronaldo! on: September 16, 2024, 08:45:17 PM
It's funny that Central Banks need to go to these lengths to acquire some cash from silly collectors. Every bank is forced to pass all their transactions through them, and yet this is what central banks resort to these days to support their operations? Marketing products to collectors and football fans?

I'd much rather see issuances like these from independent organizations or the teams themselves but there's so many collectors that cling to the idea of it being "official". One could hope that if the Euro loses its value that these could retain some collective value, but that's not certain either really. It's a matter of trust that not more were issues in the end of the day anyway. I think those that make the most profit are the ones who resell these instantly at the heat of the moment.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 U.S. Presidential Election Bets! on: September 16, 2024, 06:08:30 PM
It's funny that the person who went on to attack Trump was a very big proponent of supporting the war in Ukraine, even flying to Ukraine supposedly to recruit volunteers.

So it's clear his motivation must've been Trump's anti-war policy. Who knows who was funding the attacker? But I wouldn't be surprised if it was a state sponsored attempt on Trump. It'll be really funny to see revelations like this hit the mainstream. Just more reason to end the war in Ukraine as soon as possible if they're now making attempts on US presidential candidates.
18  Other / Meta / Re: Why are so many gambling discussion threads getting locked? on: September 16, 2024, 02:50:30 PM
When a post gets over 6 pages long in the gambling discussion board, there's very rarely any substance left in terms of discussion.

Some posts are general threads talking about a continuous topic such as the current premiere league season, these can stay open for a year and have thousands of responses that make logical sense.
But when a general question is asked, there's only so much that can be said before it becomes redundant to keep responding to the OP.

So the mods took a good initiative to start locking these threads IMO. More posters here should take it upon themselves to crate original discussions.
Start a thread about your local league, start a thread about minor sports that you like and deserve more spotlight... Start a thread to see which casinos have the best offers and compare them... Don't just repeat the same stuff over and over.
19  Economy / Services / [OFFER] Help me gain sign ups and earn rewards on: September 16, 2024, 02:46:14 PM
Greece's largest telecommunication's company has started a payment app and are giving 20€ for each sign up that completes KYC.

This is a trusted company and they already have a good funnel. Whenever someone clicks the affiliate link, they are shown a page to enter just their email address.
Later if they download the app, complete the KYC and sign up with the same email, I get 20€. And they can invite their friends to earn afterwards too.
Also the app has a 1% cashback on all spending so it's the best no strings attached cashback one can access in the country at the moment. So it's an inciting offer.

If you can think of any ways to cash in on this, I'll pay you part of all the affiliate omission we achieve together. Note that this offer is only valid for Greece residents.
If you have any good ideas for promotion I may pay the advertising costs to run a test campaign.
Contact me on telegram for details: https://t.me/Alane100

!! If you respond in this thread with a suggestion I deem irrelevant, not offering a service yourself, I reserve the right to delete your post. !!

Just the other day I wrote in a thread on the Greek board. The topic of discussion that was at hand then is besides the point now, but to put it briefly, there was some political disagreement and I pointed out some contradictions I could perceive in OP's thought process.

Not long after that, I'm being told by OP to drop him a line with my phone number so we can arrange an in person meeting to "solve our differences". As you'll see in the quotes of OP below.
I'm adding the responses in pictures because as we know, crazy people tend to delete their posts. Or in any case post shit so crazy that it gets deleted by someone else. You'll also notice that he's posting in the max font size in bold and in red, also filling near the max height a post allows in his replies, effectively making the thread unreadable.

Source: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5509326.msg64536294#msg64536294

Not long after that, OP starts cursing toward me. And it's not a simple fbomb, we're talking proper curses against my bloodline and belief system. Translation:
Fuck your Jesus Christ, Fuck your mother of god, fuck your mother and fuck your father too.

Source: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5509326.msg64536350#msg64536350

Today OP continues his threats, this time responding with off-topic replies to threads of mine completely irrelevant to him, saying he got my IP.  Huh
You shouldn't spend your rent money on gambling.

Does your beloved mommy know your addictive habits?

ps: I already know your IP address and in a couple of days I'm going to find out your phone number.

Mind you, this was in a thread about match picks in the Greek football league...

I get that this forum sets very few limits to one's free speech, but we have to draw the line at some point. This is no longer about free speech, as cryptosize has taken it a step further and vowed to be a real annoyance for whatever I post around the forum.

Moreover this person is much of the reason the Greek board is abandoned now, as he will go in every new thread and in one way or another find reasons to call the OP and every respondent an idiot, doing his best to show he's above everybody in conjecture also to some conspiracies he believes into about vaccines, the new world order etc. So this is also why the Greek board needs a moderator especially after our beloved ex-mod Mitzie seems to have departed years ago.

I'm making this thread fully expecting cryptosize to show up here as well. I'm just hoping that my thread will help give cryptosize a lesson because obviously he's kept up this antic for too long here.
