In my opinion, the old coins are still not to be neglected. There are coins like EOS and DASH that continue to evolve and announce good news around them.

I don't think the market correction is that striking, but Bitcoin came in this year with a price of around $ 30K. And this is much less even than the current level of decline.

The world is changing and this is inevitable. We go through different economic stages, and cryptocurrencies are the inevitable new beginning of currencies and a new economic system.

Given that Bitcoin is completely anonymous, I don't think it's very difficult to use it for different purposes. It may be more difficult to withdraw funds from Bitcoin in some countries and some exchanges, but it is still not possible. But I personally think that the best application of Bitcoin is to keep it as an asset with increasing value.

There is a lot of interest around Polkadot, not from anyone but from the big players on Wall Street. This is an interesting fact and definitely draws attention to it, but I think it is too early to draw any large-scale conclusions about its future.

I think that BTC, ETH and ADA are the coins that can bring us big profits in the short and long term. But Ripple, in my opinion, is already losing its value and may soon go down. With the problems that have started and are getting bigger, I don't think Ripple will make a some leap. Personally, I would not risk investing in XRP.
