well looks like at the end this exchange is turning if not into a scam, at least in something shady. In the past I made lots of profitable trades here. Nice exchange... it was. Today I wanted to sell here some erc20 tokens, because there was some arbitrage spread. There were many buy orders on the book on a price higher than the market price. Now, when you sell on an existing bid, and you set a lower price, your sell should be filled instantly. Instead, as soon as I placed my order, all the bids disappeared and my sell was left alone on the sell side. I think those cannot be user bots because how could they remove the order immediately before being filled? Must be something server side. Goodbye digifinex, it has been funny until it lasted.

this exchange scammed on November 2019 and a few months later the site was eventually turned off. The thing I can't accept/believe is that it seems no one is trying to investigate/prosecute the scamming ceo.

Thanks a lot for valuable information. I think I'll go for Coinbase. I already have a verified account there. But I am afraid that brexit will affect their fiat services too. They sent me an email days ago saying they had to change banking partner... I hope I can still order it.

Economy / Exchanges / 2020 Crypto debit cards situation
|
on: February 12, 2020, 08:32:26 AM

Well, epayments sent me an email yesterday telling me their service was suspended for AML reasons. Probably a brexit effect?
Anyway, what's the situation on the debit card world as of today? What are working ones?
I want to load BTC and spend EUR, with acceptable fees. I am not particularly interested in anonymity.
Wirex? Advcash? Others?
thanks

Hi all I'd like to tell what I think is a bad behavior of Bitfinex or at least a misfunction. Well you know all the exchanges more or less have some token wallet locked. I always check if a wallet is locked before depositing a token or coin. In my case, I wanted to deposit the "INT" token. I checked on the wallet page, and all was OK. I also could copy my deposit address, or even I was able to create a new one, but I am not 100% sure of this (i never deposited that token, this for sure). Well the wallet was locked instead. Looks like I came on that wallet in the past (months ago) and for some reason I closed the small notification "wallet closed" on top. Support told me if you close that notify, you'll never see it again. Also after months. So, you will not be capable of knowing the status of that wallet again. Even not with an API. There is no API for wallet status! Because of all this, I unfortunately deposited some INT token. Then I was informed that the wallet has been locked for months, and in these situations we all know it is likely never unlocked, until coin is delisted. Well, ok let's ask the support to send me back my tokens. No, it's not possibe, bwecause "the wallet is locked" . But this is a very stupid reason. If they wanted to, they could manually withdraw my coins with a manual tx. Useless to say, I've already lost a big amount of value. I consider those coins lost, but this is only another example of exchanges (not only this) behaviour. again: I HAD NO WAY TO KNOW THE WALLET STATUS. Tehey should at least change that notification sticky deletion.
