Police wont and cant do anythong, nothing at all. Ed is not legit registrated casino like none is in bitcoin. Its just a website. And bitcoin is not a curency so police cant do nothing about it.

Cars aren't a currency, but if the police catch you in a stolen car they can do something about it.

What makes you think the police only police currency?

Yep. They can launch an investigation, only if he didnt repay you or what not....

How much are you willing to pay?
$10

I think I can get it working for you. I have an old prepaid debit card that doesnt have any balance. It should be enough to activate the account...

PM me.

Sorry, I missed it. Thanks.
No problem.

So, for now, jadefalke is leading with .03BTC offer.
Anyone offering more? Smiley

I dont think many people will offer much because most people want to hosts sites and its a hassle switching servers every month.

Here is, by far, the best point in favor of calling one microbitcoin "one bit".

If we all agree to call 1 microBTC "one bit" then we can all really look forward to that glorious day when a shave and a haircut will once again cost two bits!

Even grandma will appreciate that.

Drastic changes here as well. Seems to me like the era of people having a decent income just for posting in a forum is over. Time to move to something else maybe. Posting is more like a hobby to me, the fact that I can earn some pennies by doing what I like sounded good. But good things don't last forever. Tongue I don't think sig campaigns are going to die soon though, the frequent posters will certainly do though. hehe

Actually it is good, now it will stop spamming in whole forum.

I firmly believe it is impossible to make more than 100 really solid posts in a week. 9/10 people who are breaking that limit are just posting worthless contributions as rapidly as they possibly can.

Preferably I'd like to just pay people a fair price based on their rank which would cut down on forum spam tremendously this could upset a lot of participants though. If anyone has some suggestions on how pricing should work for that scheme I'm all ears.

I can agree with that, but I just have a question. Is the next payment on Tuesday?
1128  Economy / Auctions / Re: [BTC] eBay Auction on: June 20, 2014, 08:24:41 PM
Just had a security concerrn and closed both auctions. This forum is plenty of scammers looking for all soft edges. Beware honest people.
To close the trade both bidders were given the opportunity to close the deal at their bidding price even if this is against eBays' rules. I'm sure eBay would understand.
Anyhow I do not recommend at all selling cryptos in eBay and even less collecting via PayPal. if you do that you'll end having trouble.
Stay safe.
C.

Yep. If anything, use something like skrill.

It's not a proposal, It's already in the Bitcoin Core client.

Just to make sure I fired up my Bitcoin QT client and, sure enough, it displays bitcoins to 8 decimal places.  So the Bitcoin QT client is displaying satoshis as described above (100,000,000 satoshis = 1 bitcoin).  I do not have the very latest version of the Bitcoin QT client.  Did they switch to displaying only six decimal places?  Can someone with the latest client look into this and let me know if they changed something (especially related to the definition of the "satoshi").

Why use "bits" when you can use "sats"?
You could use either. A bit is just a shorthand for 100 "sats" (assuming you are using "sats" as a shorthand for satoshis).  Use BTC, bits, sats, or satoshis - whatever your heart desires.

BTW I have never seen anyone anywhere seriously propose that we change the definition of a satoshi from 100,000,000 satoshis/BTC to 1,000,000 satoshis/BTC.  That would cause some real confusion!

If anyone sees a proposal to change the definition of the satoshi please let me know so I can give them a piece of my mind.  The satoshi, as 1/100,000,000 th of a BTC, is pretty much set in stone at this point as far as I and everyone I know is concerned.  Please, let's not mess with that.

But I dont understand why your fighting sooo much to add bits? Most people are comfortable using sats.

So, now the payment system is semi-automated, weekly, and only allows 100 posts per week (max 400 per month)?

I don't think anyone really knows. I'm trying to see if it's weekly or still monthly myself. I'm guessing the max is 400 per month, but I don't get that. Then again, most people have to explain things to me as if I'm in first grade.

Well he said 100 per week.

I can get upto 0.4 per month!

Why would he need to? Usually when people invest money into IPOs they go tits up and scam. I'm sure previously Stunna said why he didn't want or need to do this for similar reasons.

Well it would be a really fun way to make money.
1135  Economy / Auctions / Re: [BTC] eBay Auction on: June 20, 2014, 08:00:01 PM
Its against the rules. You can get your paypal account banned.

Actually eBay allows selling digital currencies but you're right with PayPal, they don't like it. I wasn't aware of this when I started the auction but now I know. In anycase I want to run this as an experiment so will let it go ahead and will not repeat using PayPal.

One trick to do is as soon as you get the paypal money, forward it to another paypal account. That way they cant chargeback.

Thanks for that. I'm pretty sure it will be a scammer to win that auction since they can afford to pay prices a legit trader will never accept. Anyhow for respect for honest people that have bid I will let it run and see what happens. Stay tuned.

Ok, well Good Luck!

there is no option for unmetered bandwidth?
may be too small for you offer bw  Huh
Unlimited storage, unmetered bandwidth, they are marketing strategies, there is not hard disk with unlimited disk space, there is not data center or dedicated server with unmetered bandwidth, there is not CPU with unlimited processing speed and ....

He is right. At some point, the company is going to contact you and suspend your account for abuse, even if its unlimited.

I was talking with support yesterday. Turns out they had a backlog for a few hours. The transaction got cleared in about 5 hours.

It occasionally does that.

Its worth it though since they pay a 0.0002 tx fee for every transaction over 0.001!
