You really are dumb as a box of rocks, aren't you? I reported your post from yesterday for plagiarism and this is yet more plagiarism. Just waiting for you to show up in the modlog as nuked or autobanned.

Part of me wants to keep giving out my precious Merits like they were Facebook Likes, and if I were still doing that, I would Merit this comment; alas I am not a Merit Source. But I still like your comment.

And speaking of, nur1labs from the HoweyCoins thread is *still* clueless... now he wants to report theymos!?!  Grin

"Sweet mother of Crisco..." I LoL'd at that.

Its great because you earnestly tried to tell people the lowdown only for your post to get bulldozed over by comments on the validity of HoweyCoins.

You even wrote "THIS IS NOT A REAL PROJECT." And that didn't seem to phase anybody! I just gave your post a Merit so maybe people will read it again, but its doubtful because we've already moved on to the next page.

I can't bring myself to make the reveal, its too much fun watching the madness.

Yeah, as you noted it took mere minutes for the clueless and the spammers to resume posting like nothing happened. I expected that from the sig-campaign/bounty-hunting shitposters, but not the ones who might have misunderstood that HoweyCoins is a cautionary tale/joke. Oh well, you can lead a horse to water and all that...

I just hope that the staff/moderators are, indeed, using that thread as a honeypot to tag spammers and plagiarizers. One of the latter class of idiot plagiarized a post by "Thermos Cat"... You really can't make this stuff up!

All else is fine. Thinking about switching to another pool, any suggestions?

I've been mining MUSIC for months now on beta-music.pool.sexy:10012

The ping isn't the best for my location in the US (about 195-205ms) but I don't seem to have too much of a problem with stale shares as I am getting credited for my full hashrate (else I wouldn't keep mining there for months). Orchardcoins has a good rep, too, though.

This discussion is very interesting and we feel important about the activities in this bitcointalk forum which are discussed in this tread, it could be a memory for us in interacting about the problems of bitcoin and other criptocurrency in this bitcointalk forum becomes sharper and can be a lesson for us all who are involved in this bitcointalk forum.

That's a good one Putra, where did you find it?
Oh, wait....

Now that's what I call "meta"!

Another one to file under, "You can't make this shit up."

A 25 kVA transformer can only do about 105A (and peak loads up to about 140A or so @ 240V).  Around my parts most homes with 200A service have a 15 kVA transformer, and large homes have a 25 kVA transformer.  Really large residential homes have a 50 kVA transformer.  A large 50 kVA is still only able to deliver 210A or so on a 24/7 basis.  And once you get much past that, the 350 MCM Al wire running between the transformer and your meter base begins to become the limiting factor.

Technically correct, but transformer power ratings are more of a moving target rather than a fixed number because as long as the core is sized properly for the voltage swing and frequency the power throughput is entirely dependent on the temperature rise of the windings. Taken to the extreme, that means a nearly infinite amount of power can flow through a transformer if the windings are superconductors. I know it sounds crazy, and using superconductors for windings isn't exactly practical, but it's true.

Even with humble copper windings most utility distribution transformers are immersed in oil for cooling so they can take a high degree of overload for surprisingly long periods of time, particularly if the ambient temperature is well below 25-35C. Hell, one cheap way that utility companies can instantly increase a transformer's power rating is to slap some fans on it; good for at least a 25% bump in continuous load rating, as long as the higher voltage drop is permissible.

When I started consuming above 20,000 watts 24/7, I had the power company come out and swap my 25 kVA for a 50 kVA one.  There was no cost to me.  Where I live in rural Virginia, nothing needs to be filed or justified with the county, it is all just between me and the POCO.  I just called them up one day, and 20 minutes later an engineer was at my door step and I showed my power usage and he said yep, let's swap in a 50 kVA for you.

The willingness of the utility company to upgrade your distribution transformer very much depends on the particular company and municipality (and, of course, how much average power you have drawn or are projected to draw). In my neck of the woods you practically have to set the pig on fire before the utility will replace it for free, and while they will gladly upgrade it if you pay them to do so, that can take weeks for the paperwork or whatever to work its way through the various bureaucracies.

349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 8th Alt coin thread. Or what to do now that asics are all over the place. on: July 24, 2018, 10:36:18 PM
actually houses in my area are so big, with hot tubs electric cars requiring 50kw fast chargers etc its not hard to find a house sized with 400amps, throw in a detached garage you can easily get permit for another 300 watt for a garage shop.

Its false that they make you pay for the transformer all they need is a city permit and they put up the pole if needed.

power is not an issues.  the issue is residential rates are bad for mining.  Im my shop i have businesses rates , slowly moving my rigs there.  I pay .04 plus deman rate in the garage.  In my residence i pay 12 to 15. cents in summer no less than .11 in winter

Well, just because the main breaker says 400A doesn't mean you can actually draw 400A for more than a few seconds. Firstly, the NEC limits maximum continuous use of any circuit to 80% of the wiring or breaker rating, whatever is less (usually the breaker). Secondly, the distribution transformer (usually affectionately referred to as a "pig" if mounted on a utility pole) will likely be rated for 10kVA to 50kVA if pole-mounted, and 50kVA to 200kVA if pad-mounted, and each transformer will likely serve 1 - 6 houses so you really don't have nearly as much power available as you might think.

Our esteemed OP can probably provide a bit more detail on this seeing as he has had major electrical service work done, along with solar tie-ins, etc.

What I did hear though is no reasonable explanation for it not being locked.

Actually, there is a reasonable explanation, or, at least, I found it reasonable, if not entirely likable. Basically, the entire roadmap got tossed like a cheap salad when CN coins started getting attacked back in Feb/Mar. The solution was to expedite the shift to Atlantis but that screwed up marketing, more exchanges, etc. Then there was the announcement and arrival of CN ASICs and we know what happened there. The premine is supposed to be used to pay for marketing, exchange listing fees, setting up the business (aka foundation) and, yes, paying staff (remember, no ICO) but once the amounts and block heights are locked there's no going back without a hard fork.

CaptDero says the premine will be locked again soon and one can either take him at his word or not. I chose to take him at his word.

351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DERO: DAG + Cryptonote + Bulletproofs + SSL + POW + Smart Contracts on: July 24, 2018, 09:19:03 PM
You guys should really stop talking about the premine being unlocked vs daily volume. Its a stupid argument. Before they cratered the price of Dero being stupid.. daily volume was over 100k a day. You're literally saying 'I don't care about the unlocked premine because today its doesn't matter and the future is irrelevant. What is today.. will remain forever!' If the price picks up and the volume returns that premine being unlocked could be a very big deal.. one that is completely avoidable by doing what you said you did in the first place.

A fair point, but I would counter with: if word got out that the premine was being sold on the open market outside of the (sort of) planned releases the price of DERO will basically go to zero. There's just no way to unload a meaningful amount of the premine without causing the proverbial Panic At The Disco.

And when that happens it's usually because it's a copy and paste:

Justice, sweet justice!  Grin

It seems that a good 50% of the shitposters that post to the merit & new ranks thread in the hopes of finding some "marits" end up getting nailed for plagiarism instead. To paraphrase from Man of Steel, "A good nuking is it's own reward."

353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DERO: DAG + Cryptonote + Bulletproofs + SSL + POW + Smart Contracts on: July 24, 2018, 04:00:26 PM
This pre-mine value is not high for the total coins provided?

A fair point; the premine amount is relatively high to many coins in percentage terms, but since there wasn't an ICO the premine is what will be used to pay for marketing, exchange listing fees, website development, other assorted bounties and, yes, to hopefully make the dev team filthy rich.

Since I am a Libertarian at heart I don't mind the high premine percentage (~10% of total supply) and much prefer it to an ICO (or worse - masternode sales) where a huge amount of money is available immediately, leaving precious little incentive for the dev team to keep working.

That's my opinion, anyway.

I have hard evidence that point to him, which I'll be using for my personal gain Wink if/when any of the 2 projects gets any actual momentum

And yeah call anyone you don't like Serena/Mojo, and if I talk somewhat in a feminine way, then I must be Serena........   Ugh too many newbs in crypto these days

This response only merits the automaton bot: beep...bloop...beep...beep

MagicSmoker, go read the post and comments in the link above and then tell me that's not captain

No, that really doesn't seem like him at all. Captain is a man of few words, to be sure, but I'm not seeing any more similarity between him and BTCN-dev as some people have claimed there is between you and Serena. Ahem.

357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PRE-ICO]HoweyCoins: the only BitcoinTalk-endorsed ICO - GUARANTEED PROFIT on: July 24, 2018, 10:21:37 AM
You need to read them on social networks Twitter  Grin Grin Grin

will check and all red lol  Roll Eyes [they need clarified this]

I'm sorry, but this is getting to be too painful to watch. HoweyCoins was created by the US Securities & Exchange Commission to warn people about scammy ICOs (which is basically all of them, from what I can tell). THIS IS NOT A REAL PROJECT. If any of you mindless account farmers, haiku bots and bounty hunters actually read the OP and knew more English than what google translate can spit out you would have realized this.

Sadly, I know full well that 99.99% of you won't read this post, either, so you'll continue to write your "good projekt" and "scintillating plan, absorbing vision, faultless logo" crap anyway.

...captain agreed that there are issues and suggested I work on them..

The way I read that convo, it was more like Captain was challenging you to prove your assertion by presenting a solution, rather than agreeing that there was a problem in the first place. This is a common tactic of his and one that usually shuts the complainer up. You being a notable exception, of course.

Then again you say c**p about Serena/Mojo because they banned a bunch of people.. what a bunch of hypocrites

I talk shit about a lot of people because internet. That said, I've only banned one person - versus the >50 by S&M - so it's a bit early to be calling me a hypocrite. Pretty much everyone except Sajo8 was happy to see you go, and Saj08 seemed more concern this was a return to the evil S&M days. But I haven't broken out the ball gag and whip just yet.

So if someone doesn't blindly praises, gets kicked?

I think anyone who reviews your case and reads your messages will see that you were being toxic, and no matter what was told to you in response to whatever questions you had, you refused to accept any answers and kept being toxic.

Yes, pretty much this. The irony here is that I rather forcefully argued for not banning JohnSmith two days ago, but then he/she/it proved that Kryptoid's initial ban was totally justified.
