1281  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [GB] Cointerra Terraminer IV, 1.33 BTC=25GH/s Per Share 56/80 shares left on: September 03, 2013, 01:39:56 PM

Hi,
Can you write about approx. hosting costs?
1282  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: any ASICs after Terraminer IV? on: September 03, 2013, 12:46:42 PM
Every new generation of ASIC will bring increased performance and power efficiency.

maybe not enough, using 28nm process already
and there is no "multicore" workaround, like in CPU architecture
multicore is here the base...

Thinking there won't still be a race is naive. Not thinking a race would evolve new products is stupid.
Only thing that can stop faster machines is if Bitcoin as a currency fails.

not seeing what preorders have included to this race - either...

Lite coin is very cheap do you people think its worth investing in

imo no, it's only a clone of btc.

but this "clone" - has better forecast in decentralization, do you agree?

51% attack could happen, people will stop using btc
asic companies must sell miners to stop centralization

even below costs ?

It seems Terraminer and maybe Monarch - could close the door in mining hardware, for long time.
What do you think?

If you believe in BFL power consuption estimates, then you might be right

hint:
maybe

hint #2:
if you believe Smiley

P.S.
"maybe" shows my level of belief in BFL announcements...

As Moorey's law states, no you won't have to wait for a long time

but miner's money do not grow with Moore's law
money saturation deficit won't help Moore's law

technology will evolve according to moore's law

right now - every next asic venture will get lower amount of money from preorders
bussiness case may not be fulfilled
until money in old preorders will return in bitcoins

I don't really have anything useful to contribute here, I just want to send somebody a PM because of something somebody said on IRC and I haven't made a forum account here yet :p

me too Sad

1292  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do You Think The Price of Bitcoins Will Go Down To $5.00? on: September 03, 2013, 09:13:22 AM
I think goldcoin will replace bitcoin soon.

Bitcoin will be 5$ in 40 days.

Current difficulty race simply deny such scenario.
It seems, the price should rise, if market will be flooded by asic
- everyone with asic hardware will not ROI, so the price is suspected to compensate it,
maybe in long period.
