401  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which is Best Trading or Freelancing? on: May 01, 2020, 02:55:38 PM
Which is Best Trading or Freelancing?

The truth is that that you cannot make good money with freelancing, the only thing where you can make money is trading but for trading you would need a good revenue and expertise in trading otherwise you will just loose because the good exchanges has high trading fee and it is difficult that you could generate profit.

I found there that many youtube channels are promoting freelancing but they are just misleading you. Freelancing has no more scope. Do not waste your time by learning anything related to freelancing. Instead learn something about trading.
They are both best as long as you know what you are doing. If you want to trade then you need to make sure that you have a better knowledge to it so you can make sure that you will end up earning and not losing your money.

While in freelancing, it is also good as long as you have a good skills and you know how to market your skills and also it will be good if you have good number of customers.
402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will another altcoin rise to overtaken Bitcoin? on: May 01, 2020, 10:33:30 AM
Taking into consideration the nature and redundancy of Bitcoin technology and the difficulty in scaling, I am very curious to know if Bitcoin protocol will be dropped one day and another coin build to take its place. because now it's almost like the redundancy of Bitcoin and the time it takes for a transaction to be processed is part of what is affecting its mainstream adoption as a currency. please share your thoughts.
In the future maybe yes but if we are going to talk like 1-5 years from now then the possibility is almost zero especially that big whales are backing up the bitcoin prices compare to other currencies. But if the big whales will boycott the bitcoin and they will support other currencies like eth or other currencies that has a potential then they can easily replace and overtake bitcoin.

But right now, the foundation of other currencies are bitcoin therefore there is no other currencies that were able to replace bitcoin up until now. Let's just see whether there will be other currencies that can surpass bitcoin someday.
403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Think before joining any campaign on: May 01, 2020, 09:17:02 AM
I came across AZBI network bounty few days back and I bookmark the page so I can join later and that will be my first bounty on this forum but I noticed a lie about the project, below is the link to the project

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5243303.0

It's said they are listed on the bounty thread but after going to the exchange where thy claimed to have listed (UNISWAP) I can't find any token called AZBI on the exchange platform, even the second listed exchange called Bamboorelay has no single volume at all.

To me this is a very poor bounty project, they used uniswap name to deceive those who are too quick or haste to make money, there is no demand for this token, it's a dead end, I'm glad I spend my time doing few digs if not I would have joined the campaign.

A good lesson learnt here
You will surely learn from your experience and you have done a great job because you didn't join blindly instead you did a little digging about their background which is good knowing that you are still a newbie. Just keep what you are doing so you will not end up supporting the wrong project and your effort will be in vain at the end of the campaign.

If you will be wise then you can surely earn a decent profit in the future especially if you will be lucky in joining a decent campaign that pays a good amount of reward.
404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should the Crypto Community Be Worried About the Oil Crash? on: May 01, 2020, 07:09:56 AM
Hello, guys! What do you think? Can crypto and the oil industry be connected?
If I am not mistaken they are very different and are not connected to each other but if you are going to say stock market then they are related to each other. Crypto market can easily incraese or decrease it's price base on demand and most of the demand are coming from the big whales therefore if the oil price will crash it cannot affect the demand of crypto market.

But a pandemic scenario is separate as the market crashes pretty bad in the midst of pandemic where many countries impose a total lockdown in their area. Therefore oil crash cannot affect that much compare to pandemic scenario so as a crypto lover you don't have to worry that much if in case the oil prices will goes down as it is not the basis whether the crypto market will goes down or not.
405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ethereum be taking 1st place in 2020? on: May 01, 2020, 05:57:09 AM
Ethereum has been steadily on the rise for a good while now, and this first half of Q1 2020 has proven that they have brought that same energy into the new decade. They have started 2020 with a bang, more than doubling in value in just 2 months.

There are quite a few factors that have come into play to make this a winning year for Ethereum and here are just a few: https://thecoinshark.net/en/5-reasons-why-ethereum-is-winning-in-2020/amp/

What do you think we can expect to see for the rest of the year?

If the bitcoin dominance will likely to decrease then the second position or the Ethereum will have a chance to replace bitcoin someday. I make it someday because in this year 2020, there is zero possibility that eth will likely to replace bitcoin in it's current position because the bitcoin dominance is still very high which is more than 60%.

And frankly speaking, eth is very dependent to bitcoin price therefore the chances for eth to come on top is very less or I say zero percent if we will talking about this year 2020.
406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is now a Days there is no charm to work in Bounties? on: May 01, 2020, 04:14:16 AM
Is now a Days there is no charm to work in Bounties?
Because many Bounties do not Pay rewards to Bounty Hunters. Bounty Hunters work hard but did not get any Reward. What will be the Solution of This Problem.
It is not that there is no charm to work in bounties nowadays instead the bounty campaigns who pays a good amount of reward and will likely to pay the bounty participants on time are very rare. In this case, you need to choose wisely on what bounty that you are going to support as the chances to earn from them is very low knowing that there are plenty of bounty campaigns that are popping up from nowhere as days passes by.

Be wise and do some research so you can find a better bounty campaign to join and for you to earn a profit in the end.

407  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which is your favorite gambling game? on: May 01, 2020, 12:29:26 AM
We are developing the most attractive gambling games and I want to know the players' favorites!!!
 Wink Wink Wink
I already submitted my vote as I love playing while competing to other players therefore I voted for poker games. I've been a poker player also for several years already and I love to gamble in this game because of the thrill that I experience upon competing to different people.

But I am hoping that in your upcoming platform to build, you should make sure that there will be no bot that can penetrate the platform because it can ruin the game of other players. And also, it will be good if you can also widen your platform upon the launch like you cater also the esports world as there are many gamblers who love to gamble to them.
408  Economy / Gambling / Re: Introducing The HalvingGame.com: Put your money where your mouth is! on: April 30, 2020, 12:57:37 PM

Introducing The Halving Game, a fun platform about anticipating the Bitcoin price.

Can you predict the BTC/USDT price on Binance at the time of halving on May 12?
Then make your bet and win your share of the pot! It’s 100% anonymous, no email address required.

How does it work?

Everyone makes one or more bets with their own price prediction. At the time of halving (when block 630,000 hits), those bets within a +/- 2.5% range (target zone) around the Binance price will be paid out their share of the pot. For example, if the price at the time of the halving is 10,000 USDT, you would have your bet(s) placed between 9,750 USDT and 10,250 USDT (-2.5% to +2.5%). The minimum bet size is 1 bit, or 100 satoshi.

Weight factor

The weight factor spices things up even more and rewards older bets over younger ones, i.e the earlier you bet the greater your weight factor will be. For example, if you bet 14 days before the halving, the weight factor of your bet is 14.0. If you’re in the target zone, your share of the pot will be your bet multiplied by 14, so be quick because a bet only 7 days before the halving will have a weight factor of just 7.0. On the last day of the game, each bet only counts 1x.

TL;DR: Bet as early as possible to get the maximum output.

Payout calculation

After the halving, the pot is distributed to those players whose bets are within the price range. The formula for the payout is:
sum of my weighted bets in target zone / sum of all weighted bets in target zone

Service fee

We’re charging a modest fee of 2% to operate the service and provide support. The service fee is deducted at the time of payout.

Good Luck!

The game starts today, 14 days before the halving and bets will be allowed until block 629995, 5 blocks until the halving.

Check it out at https://halvinggame.com.
Follow us on twitter at https://twitter.com/HalvingGame

And now we wish you all good luck!

Also, any feedback is most welcome!

Interesting, I visited the website to check it and I notice that there is no maximum limit for your bet meaning you are free to bet even if you will be putting only a minimum bet. And for the Weight factor, will the amount of bet will be considered also aside from what you have mentioned to it.

Because I notice in the betting list that there are different amounts that were being wagered and maybe if I can get a clarification to it, I will be glad to participate to it. I am a little bit puzzled with the FAQ's, I am hope you can answer my little clarification here.
409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH could reach $440 if bullish on: April 30, 2020, 12:17:48 PM
ETH is witnessing a massive pump this year and hopefully I wish it to continue, if the bulls continue to reach the next level resistance it may $440. However it is important to remember this is just an indicator,  I believe it has the capability to reach this value by the end of this year.
https://u.today/ethereum-eth-price-could-reach-440-if-bullish-momentum-persists-market-analyst-edward-moya?amp=1

From the big crash that happened recently, I am very hesitant whether the market can still recover from it especially the ETH that it falls pretty bad but I was mistaken because the market was able to recover as of the moment. 440$ for Eth price is very visible as of the moment if the momentum will continue even after the bitcoin halving because if it will happen then the bull season will surely to be triggered.

If we can see the bull by this year then we can see a better market by the 3rd to fourth quarter of this year that will likely to create a new ATH to most of the popular currencies.
410  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good time to buy some alt? on: April 30, 2020, 08:50:34 AM
We are closing to the bitcoin halving event and the orice has already startes to act to the event as expected. We may now see a significant increase in BTC price as well. Is it a good time to invest some money on some altcoins, obviously on the top altcoins only.
If you have bought from the dip then you are already earning a good profit right now but everyday is a chance for us to profit so we can still say that this time is a good time to buy some currencies that you like. You can choose the top currencies or the other currencies that are not yet that popular but are kicking their ass to multiply their prices easily.

15.94% change within 24 hours in bitcoin price is very fascinating because I didn't expect that the hype will go this far as we are facing some world wide issues right now. So if you want to buy, be wise on what to buy and make sure to make a selling target so you will not lost your profit if in case the market will goes down again.
411  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin back to $8000 on: April 30, 2020, 12:36:28 AM
After the Coronavirus pandemic and drastic price drop, Bitcoin is back in full force.
Just this morning a burst of buyouts propelled Bitcoin price over $8000 and working it's way towards $10 000 and higher highs.

Looking back, the price has been climbing steadily for a month or so...

Next stop, HALVING.
It is currently sitting at 8.7k$ already and I am impressed that it was able to gain a solid 12.43% change in just 24 hours. This only mean that halving really is something, what I expected is for bitcoin to run around 8-9k$ upon the halving but in just 2 days my expectation was broke easily.

I misjudge how powerful the incoming halving is, if this will continue we can surely see the bull season this year even if we are currently facing a pandemic still it is not enough to bring down the spirit of the investors especially the big whales out there. If this will continue to grow until the halving comes then we can expect to easily cross the 10k$ bitcoin price and we will likely to hit 12k$ once the halving occur.
412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Token burning on: April 29, 2020, 01:58:24 PM
Hey

I have noticed a few projects that developed a deflation system for their coins/tokens called burning.

They burn their tokens on a special occasion or simply when someone pays their product with the native token. They burn few percent of the price.

What do you think about this? Imo, if people actually buy the produc then it can really reflect the price of a coin?

Let me know what you think.
Burning is a process or a tactics of other project owners in order to make sure that their tokes/coin price will grow. Once the supply will continue to decrease while the demand will continue to increase then it will trigger the increase of their currency prices.

That is why the other project owners are implementing a buy back option and burn process just to achieve their goal and to gather some investors also because investors will surely to gather if they can see a potential increase of their investment.
413  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mayor Of Las Vegas wants the whole city open, including casinos and stadiums on: April 29, 2020, 12:51:05 PM
It seems the mayor of Las Vegas only wants profit and do not understand the pandemic, in a recent interview with Cnn anchor Anderson Copper she wants the business open including casinos, hotels, and stadium. what do you think about this

She even accused Anderson Copper of being an alarmist, so pathetic

Check out the interview

https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=216500932976803
The greed of money, it is very alarming because they prioritize the profit compare to the welfare of it's citizens. The mayor didn't even think the worst scenario if in case there will be virus carrier that will play there and it will surely spread easily, once it will happen they will surely be the center of the pandemic the same with US.

Being a hard headed will not bring a good result, if they can just wait a little longer until the vaccine will be discover then they can open without any worries.
414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A rare facts about top exchanges on: April 29, 2020, 09:54:28 AM
A friend asked me what will happen if all IEO projects can use binance, meaning if they have the money, either legit or scam, here is your answer

Do not forget that even if all new projects have the money to list on binance they can be turned down if the project is not good enough, top exchanges have their asses to cover, reputations at stake here, binance among other top exchanges loves money, everyone does but that's not the end for all top exchanges, once they make a mistake of listing and hyping a scam project they are done for, remember that.

it's always about money and reputations, crypto space is so delicate, reputations get ruined fast if care is not taken

Of course they are doing everything to maintain their rankings and reputation because if they can maintain it the money will continue to flow in their hands. Because in crypto world, one mistake can ruin everything that is why they are doing their best to filter those scam project from reliable one.

In this way, they can provide the best service to their customers while gaining additional trust from them which will give them continuous flow money.
415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto success takes time on: April 29, 2020, 07:24:55 AM
People don't want to give projects some time to grow, they forget that coins like dash, litecoin, Xmr, Bitcoin etc have a rough start, I'm just saying crypto investment takes years, just because a project drop in value doesn't mean they won't grow better in future.

Projects don't just turn huge in a year, there will be lots of volatility and price loss, for long term hold be prepared, if you can't then go for top coins
Top ranker projects are having a hard time in getting the spot therefore new projects really need to work hard so they can also compete to the market. Success cannot be achieved easily therefore new project will really take time to grow especially if the team behind it is not that rich in partners.

And for the new projects, they need to gain the trust of the investors firs like how they are going to maintain the price of their currency so the investors will not panic and transfer to another project. And as you can see, the competition right now is very hard as the number of projects are keep on increasing as days passes by while there are many projects also who are turning into shit projects.

416  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC value on halving on: April 29, 2020, 05:24:09 AM
hello everyone, i would put this in speculation board, but do not see it as speculation, since i expect from everyone to provide a bit of explanation with your answer on a question
halving is now just 13 days away and there does not seem that influence on the price is here, or you think otherwise, here is the clock to halving
https://www.bitcoinblockhalf.com/

i do think that halving is known to the community, but broad population is not aware of it, and media could cover this event, which should lead to people interest in crypto and BTC particularly. Google searches on bitcoin halving are rising https://u.today/bitcoin-btc-halving-google-searches-going-parabolic-prepare-for-lift-off and this should involve new people, what is your stance regarding influence on price?
Halving really influenced the price of bitcoin and as you can see even if we are facing a pandemic right now, the bitcoin price still able to push upward. Most of the halving triggered the bull season but because of the situation that we are in right now, the possibility that we will be able to trigger the bull season after the halving is 50/50.

That is why, I choose between 8-9k$ bitcoin price because the increase is not that much even if it is steadily increasing as days passes by.
417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbies are safer with top altcoins on: April 29, 2020, 01:17:36 AM
Seek for more crypto knowledge before investing in new projects, it's not always that easy to choose, as a newbie it's better to stick with old top altcoins on coinmarketcap, why? Because many newbie are in rush to make fast returns, if you are this type pls go for better top coins, 90% of new coins aren't serious at all, they are here to steal money from investors and give fake promises in return

Newbies are safer with top altcoins until they start learning how to choose wisely, do better diggings on new project to avoid scams

Cov-19 have been used to scam many newbies and even Corona virus coins are built too which have no real use cases

Play safe and be willing to learn
If newbies really want to invest right after they know about the crypto currencies then it is best if they will invest to the top altcoins as you have mentioned so their risk will be lessen and after that, they will use their free time to study what is crypto currencies and how it works so they can upgrade their investment pattern upon learning something helpful.

Crypto is not that easy to earn money if you have no further knowledge about it so newbies are not that welcome to crypto if they really want to start immediately but if they do it smoothly then they have potential to earn a massive amount if they will be wise in their decision making.
418  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is getting more adopted in my Country on: April 29, 2020, 12:21:29 AM
I feel very inspired right now. I just came across a video in which there's a Bitcoin ATM in the country! I feel so glad to see how Bitcoin is getting adopted. This proves that after all, our promotion of bitcoin is helping in spreading the news. And we aren't planning to stop the promotion anytime; we're even planning to hold more seminars to help people know about bitcoin. Now, one of the advantages of this Bitcoin ATM is that anyone who doesn't know what Bitcoin is and sees it would ask what the machine is used for, and from there, it just keeps spreading!!! Watch the video here to see how it works. BTW, What progress is happening in your country? If none then try doing more in favour of bitcoin (for countries that find bitcoin legal).
Good to know that your country is in the process of adapting bitcoin and they are starting to offer bitcoin ATM machine which is good as you can easily withdraw your money safely. In our country, bitcoin is not yet legal at the same time it is not also illegal meaning we were given the freedom to use bitcoin or crypto currency as we like as long as you are not doing an illegal actions.

There are bitcoin ATM machines also in our country but it is located in the main City where it is very far from where I live so if I can visit our main City, I would love to try to use it and I am very excited to do it.
419  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reason for ending gambling sessions: Had something else to do on: April 28, 2020, 12:21:54 PM
Interesting findings from "A national survey of online gambling behaviours" by Columb & O'Gara (2017)

Quote
A total of 208 users participated in the online survey. The most popular gambling activity played was Sports Betting (26.9%) and the most commonly used device was Mobile app (68.6%). The main reason for gambling online was ‘To win money’ (84.6%), the main reason for ending gambling sessions – ‘Had something else to do’ (67.3%) and the most prominent emotion experienced – Excitement (60.6%). There were findings related to the severity of gambling addiction (75% – had to borrow or sell to fund gambling) and their attitudes towards online gambling (strongly agreed – 39.9% – The potential dangers of gambling should be advertised).
Source: https://sci-hub.tw/10.1017/ipm.2017.64

* Sportsbetting via a mobile app is the mainstream;
* Main reason to gamble is to win money; and
* Contrary to my belief, the most popular reason for ending gambling sessions is "had something else to do," and not because "running out of money."

If you think about it:
* Gambling is a time-wasting activity; and
* To stop gambling, keep yourself occupied with something.

What do you think about the above findings?
It's a good tip and I am also surprised with the result especially the reason in quitting gambling which is "had something else to do", this data can be use by gambling addicts who would like to stop for good. Meaning they can just look for something that will make them occupied so they can end their gambling addiction.

With regards to main reason why  we gamble, I am not that surprise with it knowing that there are many greedy people who like to earn an easy money and gambling is one of the best shortcut if you will just keep on winning.
420  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your biggest bet, loss and win on: April 28, 2020, 11:23:08 AM
I'm nit gambling much to be honest but with a recent loss happened with my known guy who lost around 24 ETH withun 24 hours, I got curious on how much you guys are betting at once in dice games. Let's share our biggest bet, biggest win and biggest loss.
There are many gamblers out there who are like your friend that are losing that big amount within a day only but this scenario are only common to those people who have plenty of money to spare and a gambling addict. In my case, I am not in that level yet because I cannot afford to lost that huge amount especially if I will lost it only in dice games.

For those who have big capital and are a gambling addict, I am pretty sure that losing this kind of amount is only normal to them because if they will win then it will be huge also.
