621  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why there are so many people who get addicted on gambling? on: March 25, 2020, 12:42:45 AM
Gambling is everything especially for those what we called compulsive gamblers or those addict on gambling, but it made me realize, why they get so addicted in gambling? if gambling can be the reason for them to lost their money, properties, relationship to family and friends, mental health and physical health. I know that there are gamblers who play because of fun and entertainment, but actually there are so many ways for us to make ourselves entertained without even losing our money.

But anyway, I can not judge and blame all those people because we are all different, we have different story in life.
One reason why I think most of the people got addicted of gambling is because of the thrill while thinking how much they will win at that time that they are gambling. If we are in a state of gambling, we compete to each other especially if we gamble to player vs player and we want to win of course but we didn't think anymore how much we lost because we just tell ourselves that we will do better tomorrow if we will lost today.

I am not a gambling addict but this is what I am experiencing every time I gamble so there is a big chance that others are feeling the same way.
622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers always make use of advantages on: March 25, 2020, 12:13:10 AM
Last week the United kingdom's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) issued a warning that the coronavirus out real might be providing criminals with the opportunity to swindle investors out of their crypto assets, you've been warned

Scammers are sophisticated, opportunistic and will surely try many things.

Do not trust any one or organization asking for donations to combat the outbreak, it's not real
Scammers won't take a break whether there is a pandemic situation or not as they will surely use any opportunity they have just to steal the money of others. As long as they have any chances, they will surely use it as they are born like that and will always behave like that.

There is a very little chance that they will change as most of the scammers are evil doer and they like to use the money for whatever reason they have. Scammers are very tricky as they are also evolving so make sure that you will avoid them at any cost, don't be greedy or trust easily even if they are telling that they want to gather funds in order to help those affected area by virus.
623  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin prices are going to moon according to Willy Woo (analyst) on: March 24, 2020, 12:38:35 AM
Quote

“Dump then [the] moon,” he tweeted. “We are undergoing flight to safety right now, BTC is looking for its bottom. But know that once the bottom is in there are strong bullish pressures ahead. It’s this economic environment in the years ahead that Bitcoin was built for.”

The above tweet was tweeted by Willy Woo who’s an analyst, and according to the author he had correctly predicted that bitcoin prices will crash.

Quote

Willy Woo, an on-chain analyst who in 2018 forecasted that investors would unwind their leveraged bitcoin positions to seek safety in the US dollar, says the cryptocurrency is looking for a bottom.

Now the same analyst believes that bitcoin prices are bound to shoot upwards, and I’m hoping his prediction comes true like the last one did. What are your thoughts on his predictions, and I’ll be honest I normally don’t like to believe what analysts generally have to say, but I’m trusting my gut and believing in his prediction.

Read the article here: https://www.newsbtc.com/2020/03/18/statistician-who-predicted-bitcoin-crash-says-its-price-will-moon/
It is normal that there are many analyst that are predicting that bitcoin will likely to go to moon by this year but this scenario will take a lot of time to become reality. No one dislikes once the bitcoin will go to moon but because of this kind of prediction many newbies are losing hope to crypto currencies as they easily give up once they see that the market is going in opposite direction instead of going to moon.

But let's just hope that this prediction will likely to hit so we can meet again the bull by this year so we can fully shift to the different market and for the market to become alive again.
624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: High rewards still possible in bounties? on: March 23, 2020, 11:58:24 PM
Is high rewards like 350,000$ for bounty hunters still possible this days? I know it's all down to the success of the project but is this still achievable? How many successful projects with such reward paid hunters since 2018 that you know?
350k is still very possible even if the market is not in good condition but if you are talking about 1m$ and more then it is still possible but this scenario is very rare as only solid team will offer this huge amount of bounty allocation. We are only talking about genuine projects here because shit projects will blindly allocate any amount for bounty just to gather some followers and investors.

Last peak season, I saw many projects that offer more than 1m$ and more that became successful because of the market condition but right now I am not so sure if there are still projects that can survive in this kind of tactics if they will pull it in this kind of market condition.
625  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anything could be gambling on: March 22, 2020, 11:28:10 AM
We all know that we have risks to take every day and if you are a gambling fanatic, you would think that everything can be an opportunity to profit from, like simple parlor games, video games, card games, etc.

Let me ask you, what is your experience towards the gambling attitude, especially now almost everyone is in quarantine, what did you do about it?

Personally, my family plays video games, specifically on the Playstation, where we play Crash Team Racing and we race and the last place would take a shot, this could be a different thing at stake, so it could still be considered as Gambling, IMO. This could be two things
  • Gambling skilled based
  • The stake is that you can stay longer as you won't take a shot

Have you done something similar to this and do you think it's gambling as well when there's something at stake?
In order for the participants to become serious most of the games have stake so we can consider that every moves that we create are gambling especially if the stakes will include money. As our hobby, we don't take things seriously if we will not gain something from any games therefore most of the host either it is our beloved parents or siblings they will try to offer something to the winner if they like to create a game.

But there are times also that we don't need to stake some cash because every games will become successful if the participants will do their best even if there are stakes or not.
626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to do when price is dump?? on: March 22, 2020, 06:00:17 AM
The basic solution in times as this for traders is to Hold their/your capital in fiat or stable coin then wait patiently, then you get into the trade after there has been few more rekts or tokens has reached the bottom.

What do you think? Is it a smart move at this time?
If you are going to cut your loss then trading to stable coin is the best option while waiting for the market to recover again but if you believe in your holdings then it is not necessary, you can just hold your assets for a long term one and wait for the price to reach your target selling price. Volatile currencies are very unpredictable and many are cutting their losses if the market will start to crumble.

I've been doing this also but this case is very rare for me as most of the time, I usually hold my assets for a long term situation even if the market will start to goes down and even reached it bottom. I have the patience to hold my assets and I believe to them therefore I rarely secure my assets in converting them to stable currencies once the market will start to crumble.
627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Could Ripple’s XRP could reach $1 in 2020 ? on: March 22, 2020, 05:39:29 AM
It has been a wild ride for ripple so far this year, with the price dipping to $0.26 and then quickly regaining to $0.29. This comeback has analystshitting Twitter to predict that  XRP may see the $1.00 mark by the end of 2020 and here is why: https://crypto-current.co/ripples-xrp-could-reach-1-2020/

Do you think XRP has the potential to hit $1.00 by the end of 2020?

XRP is still very far to that target but the chances is still open as we are still in first quarter of this year, if the market will shift and the demand will continue to grow for the rest of the month this year then reaching the 1$ target price for XRP is still very visible.

But if the market will continue to behave like ups and downs then the chances that we can hit that price is very less. The start of 2020 is very positive but it goes down easily also in just a short period of time, the chances still 50/50 in this matter but if I am going to predict then I will vote for 1$ by the end of this year for XRP price as I know that we the market will surely recover as the bull season is still incoming.
628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Where ETH will go if it breaks down $80? on: March 22, 2020, 05:20:56 AM
Many traders and investors put trust in ETH. But recently ETH performance is very bad, in every market crash, ETH has biggest fall. It's strong support is $80, i can't imagine where it will go. ETH was traded between $10-$15 for a long time ( i looked back its chart).
Do you think ETH will be around $10-$15 again if its $80 support is broken?
Well it will always depend to the market and to the big investors out there if they like to bring the market to that level as we have not control over the demand only the big holders have the control of it. This is the disadvantage of crypto currencies right now as it can easily be manipulated by big whales, so for us who have no control about the price therefore our only option is ride the flow of the market in order to profit.

Meaning if it will goes down to that level, our best option is to buy as many as we want and hold it for a long term so we can earn a huge profit in the future once the market will bounce back again. But the Eth price and other currencies are currently going upward right now so the 80$ price and below is still very far base on the current market situation.
629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you gamble right after coronavirus outbreaks? on: March 22, 2020, 04:26:16 AM
Since almost all casinos and other gambling places are closed due to coronavirus threats, we cannot go to those places and we cannot gamble. The only thing we can do right now is to gamble online.

I know some of the gamblers here are already bored getting stuck inside our houses. Some people here prefer going to casinos than playing online. Even sports are postponed so we cannot do sports betting. So I have a question for everyone, especially those who often go to casinos.

After lockdown or quarantine or after this virus ends, will you go to casino places immediately or will you wait for some days before going?

I know every one of us here really wants to go outside, enjoy, and do what we want after getting locked in our houses. So would you go immediately or not since casinos are still a crowded place? We can't be really sure that it's already safe unless they will announce that the world is COVID-19 free or if they have already found a cure.

PS: I don't know if someone has already asked this kind of question and I'm not quite sure if this topic has been discussed here but I just want to know your opinions and plan after this outbreak.
If vaccine will be develop and the government will declare that it is safe already to resume the daily works and activities in the country then I will surely visit the land-based casino that I like to gamble on. But if the government will not declare this yet and the vaccine is not yet available for covid-19 then I will just stay in online casino as I don't like to gamble my safety just to visit the land-base casinos.

Let's just hope that this outbreaks will be finish as soon as possible so we can do the common things that we like to do in daily basis and one of it is our gambling activities. Having a safe and secure gambling area is the best place for us who like to gamble either for past time or because it is your hobby.
630  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Opera now lets US users buy crypto with Apple Pay or debit card on: March 22, 2020, 03:54:09 AM

Quote
The world’s first Web 3-ready browser just made it much easier to buy Bitcoin and Ethereum and spend it too.

Oslo – Opera was the first browser to introduce Web 3 capabilities and a built-in crypto wallet across all of its mobile and desktop browsers. The Norwegian company is now letting its US users easily purchase cryptocurrencies using a debit card or Apple Pay.

Easy crypto top ups are available in Opera’s flagship Android browser, its iOS browser Opera Touch as well as in the crypto wallet available in its desktop browser.

The integrated solution is available in the United States and Scandinavia

https://press.opera.com/2020/03/17/opera-crypto-wallet-easy-top-ups-us/

We need some positive news like this, I'm not a US citizen, however, I think this is another step to purchase BTC much easier using Apple Pay.

They are going to partner with Wyre - US cryptocurrency-brokerage firm, to enable crypto-purchases directly from their browser. They say that it is very easy and you can top up your crypto wallet in 30 seconds, but I don't know if that is true or not though.

US is very strict in terms of crypto currencies so this is a good news to those who live in US so they can easily convert their fiat into crypto that they like to hold or use. Though there is already coinbase that is available in US citizen to buy and exchange crypto currencies but having a lot of option is good so the users can choose what exchange they like to use.

Most of the exchange or wallet that offered this kind of services will differ only in their service fee or transaction fees so it's better for the US citizen to choose wisely the exchange that will give them the less charges while offering the safest security for their money.
631  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Casimero Bantamweight Unification Fight on: March 22, 2020, 12:48:44 AM
Upon the lost of Donaire to Inoue, It didn't come to my mind that Casimero will try to fight/challenge Inoue. But upon voting, I saw that there are many voters in favored to Casimero to win compared to Inoue. This fight is very interesting to follow as they are both strong puncher and a little mistake in both of the side will end the game for sure.

Though I voted for Casimero, still this fight is very close and the winner will be determined if who among of them has the sharpest punch and mind to control the game if none of them will go down. Dasmarinas will surely challenge Inoue if Casimero will lost this game to Inoue.
632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advice to everyone today on: March 22, 2020, 12:30:42 AM
Remember the financial crisis in 2008 when banks stopped customers from withdrawing funds? Then drip feeding tiny amounts to customers via ATMs. This is going to happen again, this time it will be worse.

Take your financial freedom in your own hands, Buy crypto today
You are right but for the newbies just a little advice, make sure that you should gather some useful data first on how to securely exchange your fiat into crypto currencies and make sure also that you know what currency to buy so you will not lost your money in just a short period of time. Buying crypto currencies is very simple but you should be aware that there is always a risk to it as the crypto prices are very volatile.

Therefore it is best if you should brace yourself first whether you are ready to take part in crypto or not because if you are not yet ready for a volatile prices then you start by putting your money to a stable currency like Tether while you are still adapting to the crypto world. Banks are limiting us therefore it is best if we will convert our money to crypto currency in where we have the freedom on when to cash out our money.
633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think 40% bonus is too much for early Investors? on: March 21, 2020, 11:18:41 PM
In some cases where a token price crashes soon after listing on the Exchange, the blames has over time been attributed to the bounty hunters and sometimes to early investors that received certain bonuses.

Do you think 40% bonus for early investors is too much and capable of crashing token price?
I can't say that it is too much because genuine projects will surely think this ahead before deciding to give 40% to the early investors meaning they will only limit the tokens that are available for this bonus in order to make sure that their token/coin price will not crash after reaching the exchange. For example, they will only allocate like 10-20% of their tokens that will be available for 40% bonus and only the early bird will get it.

And with regard to exchange issue, we should not blame the bounty hunters nor the investors because they are doing their job in order to profit. What we should blame are the project owners who were unable to increase the demand of their token/coin upon reaching the exchange as it is the main reason why their token crashes badly as the seller is more compare to the buyer.
634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH is all set to boom now... on: March 21, 2020, 11:02:12 AM
Guys, I am telling this to you after going through some hard day's ETH sees massive upswing now. It broke the key hurdle of $130 level and gave a solid start and the bulls have gained some momentum in the market because ETH is closely tracking Bitcoins price action at the moment. I guess it depends upon the pump of BTC if it pumps I am sure alts will follow the same.
Yes, Eth and most of the currencies out there are very dependent to bitcoin price because once the bitcoin will goes down the eth price also goes down. So we can expect that the Eth price will boom once the bitcoin price will start to skyrocket again.

But this kind of scenario will likely to change once the big investors will start to divide their investment because if you are going to check the investment pattern of big whales we can say that they still favor the bitcoin as the bitcoin dominance is still sitting at 64%. This is pretty high, if it will just goes down like 40% then other currencies like Eth has a chance to goes upward without relying to bitcoin price movement.
635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hodl altcoins or..? on: March 21, 2020, 10:10:19 AM
Which altcoins are you hodling?

I didn't sell any altcoins that I'm holding lately (i probably should), however, is it a smart idea to buy them now or wait a bit more?

What are you holding? and what will you do?
Compare to the regular market, the crypto prices right now are still almost at the bottom meaning it is our best chance to grab more and hold them for a long term. We are in the state of recovering after the huge downfall in which we cannot really say the main reason why the prices goes that deep, we are not sure whether it is an impact of the pandemic virus or the big whales are playing with the market again.

Top 5 currencies are the best to hold for a long term as the market will surely climb up again, we are not yet in the bull season and once we will hit the bull season we can surely earn a good amount of profit if we are patience in holding our assets.

636  Economy / Economics / Re: Corona has killed economy of many businesses on: March 21, 2020, 05:28:40 AM
We never thought this corona will be so viral and disastrous and even I have mentioned in my previous posts downplaying the seriousness of Corona but now it has collapsed economy of many businesses except pharmacy business which have seen a spike as most of the stocks are out of stock but the restaurant and other daily operational business like tours and travel agency, malls, other event-based business, and meat shops are closed and going through massive loss.

How long will it last? What's the antidote for Corona?
It will only last once the vaccine will be discovered but as of the current situation it will take like more than 1 year to fully develop the corona vaccine so we can expect that it will continue to kill the economy of every country that will be hit by this virus. There are many countries that impose a total lockdown in their area in order to prevent the further cases to multiply but the effect to the economy to this move will be very fatal.

The same in our country, the economy really shrink in just a a short period of time because of the lockdown that was being imposed by our government. This virus is not a joke and it will surely kill a country if a country will not impose a strict rules that will help to lessen the infected persons like a total lockdown and etc.
637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you stop gambling in a time of crisis? on: March 21, 2020, 01:11:54 AM
Guys, in moments such this we are living, with a crisis just ahead of all of us, do you stop gambling?

In my case I have to admit that I will stop for a while.
When I see some crisis or a decrease of my salary (I have my own business), I immediately cut some stuff and gamble are one of the first I stop, like going out and trips too

So, what's your opinion?
I only gamble the extra money that I have so in times of crisis like this one, I will surely stop gambling if I have no extra money. Gambling is only good if you have nothing to do and you have extra money in your wallet or account but if you are going to gamble the money that are allocated for your needs then it is not a good idea.

This time of crisis like a total lock-down will happen within a month or more than, then it is best to save up any money that you have and stop/pause your gambling session so you are prepared to what happen in the future and for you to sustain also your needs.
638  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone here succeeded a friend to play online gambling now that casino are close on: March 21, 2020, 12:40:03 AM
Majority of casinos are now closed but anyone here succeeded in inviting a  friend to play online gambling now that casinos are close
indefinitely, I'm sure a lot of gambling casinos are open to playing in online casinos at this current situation.
Yeah, in my experience I successfully invite my friend to use an online gambling instead of land base casinos as most of them are close due to lock-down that is happening in our country right now. I have told him that there are many online casinos right now but what I gave to him is the website that I currently use in order to avoid any problem in the future like cashing out problems.

I also don't like those gambling sites that are good for nothing, like they are giving only the players a very less chance to win meaning the percentage for the house to win is pretty high compare to the players. Online casinos are good especially if there are no cheating that is happening.
639  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is like day trading ? on: March 19, 2020, 08:12:37 AM
We know that day trading or short time trading is like playing with wild fire, not may can handle it. That's y most player's end up in loss and very few are successful day traders.
Is that hold true for gambling also?
There are posts here that gambling is addiction and how to get rid of.
Are there gamblers here who are in profit overall?
They have similarities but they are very different aspects because gambling is very difficult to study, it is about luck or strategy if there are loopholes to the game that you are planning to play. And in day trading, only newbies are having difficulty in making a successful trade as they didn't know yet the basics and advance technique or strategy in order to achieve the goal.

So the advantage of daily trading is that you can easily profit if you are a professional trader, meaning it can be studied in order to become successful while gambling can't be studied in order to make sure that you will win in the next bet or play. Before you trade, make sure that you study first so you can avoid losing too much money upon your first trade.

640  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: March 19, 2020, 03:58:28 AM
The season was stop due to the virus but upon submitting my vote, I saw that there are many who are in favor to Lakers. It is the favorite team to win this season but I am not so sure whether the season will be successful this year as we are facing an outbreak and the cure is not yet available.

In the current happenings where the NBA players got infected with the virus especially Durant who has the potential as a player and other players out there. It will be good if the virus will be cured so the season can still continue as I don't  have the information yet whether they will resume the game even if the virus is still there.
