3881  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: your patience is being tested on: August 15, 2019, 06:40:39 PM
They say when you have a particular habit that you are no longer comfortable with, and then you have to replace it with another habit.

In this case, while waiting for these long term investment of mine to yield result, what I just do in other to help me overcome the temptation of having to sell my coin at low price because of doubt and uncertainties, I just strictly go into short term trades also, because during the time we have all been waiting for the new ATH to arrive, there has been so many chances of making more profit from doing short, and this is why I don’t usually blame those that are doing shorts, they have to also look for another alternative to make money and then help them stay a little longer with their long term investment projects .
3882  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What threats does Libra pose on Bitcoin? on: August 15, 2019, 06:22:46 PM
If you are a crypto enthusiast - you will be just as interested in this topic as I am. I would like to learn your opinion on what threats does Libra pose on Bitcoin? I believe that this is a hot topic worth considering.
Absolutely nothing, no threat or whatsoever will Facebook Libra coin pose to Bitcoin, first, Libra is not a decentralized coin, bitcoin is, Libra is not an anonymous coin, bitcoin is, so tell me which coin do you think will continue to gain the attraction of people the more? Bitcoin will always gain the attraction of people because of its numerous benefits for even using it.

Facebook is just a stable coin and people will only use it for any project that is link to them but they will never hold their money in their market because it will add no value to it, secondly Facebook will always meet a stiff opposition because of its activities that will, strongly clash with that of government’s own. So I think there are more things that Facebook is of threat to the bitcoin, it can never have any negative effect on bitcoin.
3883  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Every thing I touch go down (gravity rulez) on: August 15, 2019, 06:00:16 PM
If you're a newbie then I think it's just normal. You get affected by the hype and buy because of fomo. Join to some crypto groups and read their opinions about the market. But if you have been trading for some months or years then maybe you need to learn it again and find where you are doing wrong.
Except one is good at doing very good analysis using technical and fundamental combined with other methods of knowing the real direction of the value of a coin at a particular given time, it may be very quiet difficult not to fall for fomo, especially when it is coming from a coin that we so much trusted, look at the last time that bitcoin got to $13800, with every analysis that I did, and which majority of people did, it was pointing towards the value heading for $15k, and we could see majority of us falling for fomo and buying at$13800, especially we that does shorts a lot in the market, but look at where we have been since then, so we just have to be very careful and be extremely patient if we don’t want to be a victim of fomo at any time.
3884  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Excessive confidence in cryptocurrency trading. on: August 15, 2019, 05:37:05 PM
Confidence is good, but there should always be a little doubt. We see that amazing things often happen on the market that no one can predict. Many times I saw too confident people who lost most of their deposit. They did not allow other scenarios. Too confident trader ceases to be flexible. In the end, we need profit and not rightness.
the best is that we can control our emotions, everything must go on as usual. don't be too confident and don't be afraid anyway. so winning or losing in trading is our daily food.
It takes time to really achieve this, for confidence, I am not sure we have too many people that comes to the market with confidence when they first started to trade, some of them would still have some little fears, and I even think it is as they advance that they begin to build confidence in their trade after having some experiences about it, and I think by the time they have already developed experiences through some failures, confidence would have left them already.

Basically, people need to first make sure they have had lots of practice first before jumping into real life trading, that is usually my own, through their trading practices, they will learn to put all these things of confidence, emotion, greed and other trading enemies in check.
3885  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Technical Analysis Bullshit or Not? on: August 15, 2019, 04:41:02 PM
Understanding Technical Analysis is not an easy task. I am trading for quite some time now but still i got the hard time understanding and tend to believe that is bullshit. I know that if a person could interpret a TA, he is bound to accumulate wealth in the trading business and hope i could be one of them in the future.
It looks bullshit to you because you don’t know how to make use of technical analysis which is the same way it will look to me also because I feel that technical analysis is just too complicated kind of and you have to stay on system to read on manner of indicators for you to arrive at a point, but we really have some people that are so good that both in the long run and short run, they know how to use TA like crazy.

There is this guy’s post I saw today which he posted on the 12th, and he had advised people who are doing sorts to sell then and then buy back at $10500, with a screen short of his technical analysis cart backing up such prediction, and he was actually right, he predicted accurately and the price even wet a little bit below that which I know that anyone that took his advice will make some money.
3886  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Psychological Analysis for trading Crypto on: August 15, 2019, 04:14:07 PM
Psychological Analysis is quite deeper than of a simple market understanding or we just do the basic things. Traders must importantly know about analysis, dig deeper for more understanding and create our own TA's. This will help us to become more profitable than casual traders but of course, we need to consider also the market situation as a basis of our TA's for it become applicable or gonna help nothing.
If you developed a TA that help you understand the price action? You have gold in your hand. Instead of mining bitcoin, you will be getting it through trading. Technical indicators such as candlestick do bring into clear view of the position of the market situations.
Do you really believe that all these things works in cryptocurrency trading, because I have done so many technical analysis that does not correspond with what we have in the market, I have seen many people here come up with figures based on their technical analysis and they would come back the next day to predict something else when their first prediction has not come through.

Imagine that we don’t have anyone demand for these coins for the next few weeks, do you think technical analysis would still not tell you something even when there is a factor already that was yet unseen to control the price. I personally do see all these TA in crypto market right now as a waste of time, and something that does not really hold much in predicting prices.
3887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Almost all the altcoins in red again! on: August 15, 2019, 04:00:15 PM
I don't lose hope on altcoin, and I believe that there is a time for an altcoin to increase again, and in the next bull run, the altcoin will take the position to grow. I am waiting to make a profit from the altcoin as I did before and I believe that time will come and no matter if I need to wait for more, I still have much time to be patient. The altcoin will be back to the higher price, and that will happen too with bitcoin.
That is right, we should just see it like season to sow, we should just keep investing in altcoins that we know that are quite cheap now, there are some older coins that we had wished for in the past to have, and now the time has come for us to invest in them because they are now cheap, very soon, the altcoins will start rising, we just need bitcoin to grow a little more.

once bitcoin grows a little more and then starts to pick interest in going sideways, then we should know that the dominance will be over for the main time, and then many altcoins that has working product we still rising, some shitcoins also will start rising in price too because their developers will pick sudden interest in promoting them, let us hope that shitcoins we have will be among those that will be promoted lol.
3888  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What cryptocurrency are you currently buying during a dip? on: August 15, 2019, 03:12:16 PM
I still buy ether and other altcoins,in which I see a further prospect in their growth
For some months now, don’t you think it is bitcoin that is still quite good to buy at dip from time to time because when you buy bitcoin at dip, you could almost be very sure that there will be a rebound that will make you have an instant profit no matter how little it is. Those altcoins you mentioned is not bad, but I have not been seeing much dip in them because they don’t even rise for one to see a correction that will give us the opportunity to buy at dip.

Look at most altcoins, majority of them are almost going to zero now, and which dip do you get the opportunity to buy again other than the dip you have invested in for some months now, so I feel most focus should be on bitcoin dip for the moment.
3889  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: if btc drops... on: August 15, 2019, 02:42:16 PM
if btc drops I think the market in cryptocurrency will decline. including the price of altcoin because now most of the prices of altcoin affect the price of bitcoin. like in 2018 then bitcoin has decreased dramatically and altcoin is the same.

Watching the current situation of cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, it is difficult to predict further developments, but I think that by the end of 2019 we will see big impetus for the growth of Bitcoin.
As we know that what usually create increase for the value of bitcoin is demand, and I trust that bitcoin will continue to get demand for the rest of the year, but that demand that will cause a major surge is what I am also hoping that there will be a factor that will push such factor into the media.

Most surge we see are almost with the help of FOMO also no matter how little the FOMO is, and we will always need a major fundamentals for FOMO to join such purchase to push the value to a bigger amount, so I hope that we will get news like popular people, companies that we know are adopting crypto, so that bitcoin and altcoins can really continue with its uptrend because it is also possible that there is a static growth if there is no much demand for the crypto.
3890  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Speculation on: August 15, 2019, 12:44:44 PM
Bitcoin has a very important role in this market and blockchain technology has a huge impact on our daily lives. It can be seen that in the last few years, the demand for this technology is growing tremendously and I believe that in the next few years people will use this technology to apply it to different areas. I personally trust Bitcoin and always save a small amount of money to invest in this market
I am not sure that the compliance of bitcoin right now is still more than 7 percent of the world’s population, if at 7 percent, we have witnessed this tremendous growth as you speak, then imagine what will happen when more percentage of people comply with the bitcoin technology which I know that they will surely comply with as time goes on and as we advance more in the cryptocurrency technology provided that we don’t have any joint law that will ban the use of cryptocurrency, and I am sure will be very difficult to do so as some countries itself has taken it upon themselves to fully comply with it and also implement it for their citizens to start making use of it. It is just that those countries implementing it are smaller countries, we really need larger countries to implement it and bring about full adoption.
3891  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My Trading Success on: August 15, 2019, 12:26:24 PM

Good run. However, get ready for more challenges that you will encounter along the way.

It seems that you still not experience any losses up to now and that's why I'm more concern to you. It's not that you need to lose just to learn, I just want you to experience all scenarios to become used to it. Continous winning might carry you away. Hope you maintain your focus and not be distracted.

You can also share your other trading story without an obvious shilling of any website.
That is if she has not really experience those losses as much as she said here because what do you expect from her, she is an influencer or a marketer and she will definitely portray her point clearly to really interest people as to pick interest in the product she is trying to market to the public which is monfex because I know her account very well, she has commented is several post and made several quality point though, but none without ever mentioning monfex.

I am not saying she is shilling then platform because I know the platform myself and I know that it has some quality stuff, but I am just saying there is no way she would have become a better her in what she is doing if she had not made some losses, so we should quite those pretenses and be realistic.
3892  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What DEX exchange do you use? on: August 15, 2019, 10:23:06 AM
Hi, guys! I'm thinking about moving to DEX and wanna know your opinion on trustful DEXes.
It's nice to hear that you are transfering your funds to DEX. Many people don't like DEX, but for me, I like DEX. Because DEX is also secured exchange the only disadvantage of it is only small peope who will use it but I know Decentralized Exchange that has bigger volume, I recommend IDEX exchange.
Okex and Binance dex is really a great dex, but I still don’t want to completely agree that they are dex because I do not believe they will create an exchange that will fully be decentralized without much of their involvement in it.

Although those exchangesare sweet and the best for now, but we still need to be careful when we use them, I wish satoshi had created a dex exchange too before he left the crypto to people, we would have trusted his own dex exchange the more, as you can see that there is no exchange that is actually much trustworthy from what a mate above you said about ether delta and the other one, so they are birds of the same feather then with centralized exchanges.
3893  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Savings Vs Investment? on: August 13, 2019, 08:18:39 PM
Savings are different, there are savings with interest and savings without. Both of them are good, they have their advantages and they also have their disadvantages, but savings is necessary while investment is not. Not everyone can be an investor, there are people who are not interested in investment, but they still do savings. When you’re working and you’re getting paid and the money you’re being paid is going to your bank account, that’s part of savings.

The money you have in your bank account is savings. As for investment, every investor does savings, cause like I have said – savings is necessary, it is something everyone does as long as you have a bank account and you’re putting money there, that’s savings. As an investor when you’re getting your money from successful investments, those money goes to your bank account to rest as savings. Investment carries a lot of risk and as the profit you’re likely to make increases, the more the risks that it carries increases. I believe I must have answered your question.
3894  Economy / Economics / Re: The Risks and Rewards of Cryptocurrencies on: August 13, 2019, 07:51:25 PM
I think its not about risks or rewards but more about the future of our humanity.

I know some people in crypto only got into this because they want to make money but there are a lot of people like me who got in because they want to change the worlds financial system. I want to see bitcoin accepted everywhere, I want bitcoin to be A LOT faster and cheaper (like eth or nano) and I want dollars/euroes/yuans to not be important in global economy anymore.

I want to buy bitcoins in my own country and go visit any country I want and spend it there like it is something normal without changing my fiat to their fiat in order to visit. Basically ideologically there are people who support the notion that economy is under control of the wealthy and we want to disturb it. That is our goal here not a reward.
3895  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much Bitcoin to accumulate now to be financially set after the next boom? on: August 13, 2019, 07:10:26 PM
So what is the number then for most ppl?
You will not get a direct number, because it all depends on each individual’s ability and financial strength. Let me tell you the goal of everyone, to have all the BTC if that is what you want to hear, but it is absolutely impossible, because bitcoin has gone pass the stage where it is cheap to accumulate, so people only invest according to what they have and according to the status of the coin at that time, the cheaper the coin is, the more they buy and the more expensive it becomes, the lesser they buy because they have to also be careful not to fall trap of All time high.

My own present plan now is to keep accumulating till we are almost near a point where I can confirm that the all-time high is near, because no there is no money that I put now that will not yield profit for me.
3896  Economy / Speculation / Re: How do you see cryptocurrency 10 years from now? on: August 13, 2019, 06:40:24 PM
Without fiat bitcoin is valueless, because the value of each Satoshi is calculated in terms of fiat. Upon the reality bitcoin won't get into removal of the fiat from usage. There will be integrated usage, and bitcoin will be more popular among people as an investment same as that people give importance to gold by this time. Importantly the generation will be completely dependent to technology and this makes the growth of bitcoin to be very high than other form of long-term investments.
The value of bitcoin is calculated in  fiat because we are still the one calculating it in fiat, just like you have it here, you are tying it to invests, but bitcoin is actually supposed to be a currency on its own, when you spend bitcoin, it should be bitcoin, but the problem which people have just seen with bitcoin is because of its limited supply, and people wonder how such limit could really supply the billions of people we have in this world if bitcoin is to succeed as the global currency, I don’t know how it will but till it becomes global currency before we would be able to figure that out, but as you said, we still tie the measure of bitcoin to its fiat equivalent because we have not fully accepted the use of cryptocurrency as means of payment whole heartedly.
3897  Economy / Economics / Re: Differences between an investor and common man! on: August 13, 2019, 06:18:28 PM
I fall for the common man I guess, I immediately get what I want and it is because I loaned it, I don't have the patience of waiting and saving money for what I want. Sometimes I get the help from others including my family, (Dad and Mom), they are supportive and gives me the money whenever it is worth spending for, like in business. The nice thing is they don't charge me with interest, good deal right?
This is common with many people but do you know what a wise person would really do in your position, he would have all those money that you use in buying those things because they would only be a liability to you and not an asset, I am not saying that liability is also not okay to buy sometimes, but that would be when you already have an establishment and you have investment that will always bring the money for you to continue to maintain and service those liabilities.

One thing I use to tell my younger ones is that there is always a time for everything, it is better that you suffer now and enjoy at your late time than to enjoy now and then suffer at late time, and one of the way to suffer now is to sacrifice some of those things for investment.
3898  Economy / Economics / Re: Did Satoshi ever mention anything about the taxing of Bitcoin? on: August 13, 2019, 05:17:10 PM
I think taxing of bitcoin is a new topic and I do not like the idea that we are stuck with what Satoshi's vision was, I can totally understand it for the first few years but he is no longer part of the project anymore and to be honest people decide the path bitcoin is taking and not satoshi anymore.

We do not have ethereum and vitalik type of connection which is honestly good, if vitalik comes out tomorrow and says he is no longer part of ethereum team and doesn't like it anymore then ethereum price will fall like crazy, bitcoin doesn't have that central figure that could ruin it in one day. So when moving to segwit for example we did it collectively and not just miners but exchanges and all other places using segwit address' as well.

Taxing is another issue we can handle collectively and not by some individual saying anything about it.
3899  Economy / Economics / Re: Does it helpful when blockchain integrated to government system? on: August 13, 2019, 03:39:43 PM
Of course the transparency that will be clearly different because the transactions that are in the blockchain can be tracked and this really makes transparency between the government and also the public. this has not happened yet, especially when we talk about the current banking system
The only country that would ever take the solution of blockchain are countries that are interested in having a transparent system, but in this world, and out of the many countries that we have, only few of them are really truthful to their citizens and would want all their operation transparent, banks are the ones that will fight this the most because they are the ones that benefit from all these their so called anonymous system of operating that Is not helping the country move forward.

The moment they implement the blockchain technology, all those illegal money of customer that they are stealing and all those government operations that is uncalled for will be transparent to everybody, and this will actually make governance an interesting one.
3900  Economy / Economics / Re: Can bitcoin help rebuild Venezuela? - Darb Finance on: August 13, 2019, 03:07:35 PM
Bitcoin is just another form of money. You know it is the digital money that helps you make transaction more quickly and even multiply your value if you speculate in Bitcoin. The situation in Venezuela is not of financial kind but of political nature. The political scenario is pretty ill and this is the main reason of the weak financial condition of Venezuela.

Sadly true. They used to refine their own oil but their infrastructure has stagnated, heck even become obsolete, that now they only sell crude oil.

It would be interesting though if the government don't crack down on bitcoin (unlikely). Since their currency is now worthless and the dollar some use can be easily confiscated, we could see an economy develop that mostly use bitcoin.
With the condition of Venezuela, I think it is worst more than what bitcoin can solve for them, and as the other mate said, their problem is not financial crisis but political crisis, so they have to tackle that first before they can think of using bitcoin to boost their economy, even if they apply bitcoin today, maybe it will help some individuals, but can never help the country has a whole to resolve anything.

I believe they need to start from their government first by changing their leaders because I put the blame on their leaders who could not control the situation until it got out of hand, which mean most of them are just bunch of hands that are not capable of handling whatever positions that they have there.
