What would the best way to do so be? I may be in the market for 60+ 7950's or 280 non x cards. I'd buy the inventory out of most stores, not to mention the rebate limitations. Hello, First time poster long time lurker. I have had various discussions with different bitcoin guys, but I am left still unclear as to how I might do this. I have recently become the owner of an original 1960s Cold War bunker located in Canada. This particular bunker used to be used for secure data storage and communications for NATO from the 1970s to the 1990s. That was only a portion of the bunker though. The entire facility was designed for 350 people to survive a chemical, nuclear, or biological event. Now the reason I am posting here is because I have been wanting to do something with bitcoin and the bunker. At the moment though we are at a crossroads and we have started a crowd fund to allow others to get involved and help us get through. I would like to offer some kind of bitcoin related perk to start with some bitcoin stuff. Some have suggested hosting, others a wallet service. Both have variables that make it difficult to peg down a single or at least a handful of perks. So I am looking for any feedback on ideas for what we might introduce as a bitcoin offer as part of our crowd fund that is currently live. Sooner the better.. only 23 days to go. Start a GPU farm with 50 7970s. Mine LTC. Good value now from LTC and you don't get the massive difficulty rise as such from BTC. Setup 10 computers with 5 GPU each. Your cost for this setup is about $8500. You can mine 30 LTC per day with this setup. Will get you $120 per day. In 72 days you will have achieved ROI and then everything else is gravy. You can't see this with Asic mining gear.
FPGA and ASIC for scrypt is in development, I don't know how long until they do mass production, but when they do. Good luck... FPGA for scrypt is not cost effective. You pay $600 for a FPGA that will mine at 500 KHs. A $200 7970 does 700-800 KHs. ASIC scrypt miners are years away if they will even be developed. Yes for now, but not for long.. They are bringing down their price to be cheaper and faster then GPU.... |

I think he means GPUs not CPU.
You can generally run 4 video cards per motherboard.
Milk crates are the cases of choice.
Well if he wanted GPU, the most motherboard can support is 8 GPU (or more if you use some splitter)... not 4 Which motherboard can do this? I thought the limit is only 6 GPUs. I have seen motherboard that can support 7 GPU, on a Z677-GD65 motherboard.... |
