Our van has been loaded, still waiting for labels to be processed by UPS. You should all get email with tracking number to the email provided when ordering. We're still on track to get it shipped today!

Hello everyone!

I don't know if there's any easy way to get UPS tracking numbers sent to each one of you (we don't have fancy UPS integration setup, maybe tomorrow). Nevertheless, you should receive yours early next week.

For those of you having any problems setting up (we will include instructions), there's an IRC channel on freenode and ircnet called #bfsbsupport

We shipped the miner with a web-gui, that enables easy setup, but lot of features didn't make it to this first version. We thought, however, it would be more important to you to get hashing, so we shipped with a bit unfinished software. I'm sure it will get much better with time..

Our team of 3 + myself has now gone through all of the August orders. Last big orders (full rigs) are in testing, rest has been tested and prepared for packaging or packed. UPS will take it from here tomorrow. We thank you for your orders, and look forward to seeing you again. Smiley

Yours truly,

Niko

We are working on web-based setup and stats. So getting up and running would require:
- Assembly according to included instructions (we're not included in first shipped units).
- Powering up
- Pointing web browser to your router to see what IP was given to RasPi (might not even be necessary as we have hosthame set).
- Pointing web browser to RasPi and entering your settings

is there a method to change the rPI host name?

/cet

Yes, and it will be set to Bitfury by default. We're using 2013-07-28-Wheezy as the base, so you can do whatever linux magic you want Smiley

To 25 starter kit can i use next hboards? How many?
There are 16 slots on M-card. We're currently shipping 2 H-cards with starter kit (until we have boards and software that delivers 25GH), so you can fit 14 or 15 extra H-cards on starter kit depending how many you will get with it.

I thought you had to populate the m-board in order (slot 1, slot 2, etc.) or the m-board would not see the later h-boards?  It looks like you've spread the h-board out over the bus. Did they all come up and work?

/cet

These are version 2 m-boards, you can tell by the PCIe power connectors versus the ring terminal connectors on version 1.  Version 2 boards need to have boards populated one per bank instead of in order.

Best way to populate is A1,B1,C1,D1 A2,B2………A4,B4,C4,D4.  If you have problematic boards that give lot of errors try moving them as last card of bus.

What's was/is the original resistor value and resultant voltage?

1.5k for 0V7
228  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bitfury ASIC sales in EU and Europe on: August 27, 2013, 06:05:54 PM
Ok we did some quick test now with another R01F resistor (don't try this at home please unless you're experienced in SMT soldering). This will void your warranty!

By changing the resistor to 2.2k gives us 0V74 Vcore. This will push the hashrate up a bit and support higher clocks. We will run a production batch with this resistor to try to bring the cards within spec. Fans are highly recommended in anything but polar regions Smiley

Meanwhile full sized miner is falling quite a bit short (10-20%) on hashrate, but the powerconsumption is.... 250W AT THE WALL.

First orders shipped today! More to follow..

Exciting!

Starter kits benefit the most, as we are putting 2 H-cards in until we have achieved sustained noncerate (useful nonces) of over 25GH/s on one card.

Even more exciting!!

But wait, this doesn't mean the current speed of the H-cards is only 12,5 GH/s ?

No, it means I don't have time to desolder chips from them Smiley You'll be surprised what you get.

Thank you for your hard work and update. I don't see a problem the way you handle this, you guys are already outstanding compared to your competition and keep surprising me Smiley
How short of hasrate are we? And what happens to the starter kits I wonder?

It's only common practice if people put it in the rules in the first post.  Apparently you didn't put any rules so that you could do whatever the hell you wanted and screw me over.  Let me know if JWest fails to pay so maybe I can actually get something of value out of this shitshow.
Ÿour satoshi-rises made it a shitshow in the first place.

Update time!

The good:
I'm back in Finland and testing has begun! I will ship first units tomorrow!

The bad:
Our preliminary tests show that the boards are falling a bit short on hashrate. This might be due to differences between wafers, immature software or SPI issues. Because we are in a hurry to ship, you win: I will ship your ordered hashrate regardless (ie. more hardware free of charge) until we fix this issue and can provide 400GH in one unit. We are thinking of producing a batch with higher core voltage, which will allow the chip to run faster, but this needs to be tested as well.

The ugly:
Tomorrow I will be figuring out best way to pack these and continue tests, software development and debugging. Softare is still heavily under development, and is not very user friendly. We push hard to make it more user friendly this week.

Our first orders were from Finland and I know many of these customers from IRC, so I asked if it was ok to ship with unfinished software, and they agreed. So stay tuned for first user reports Smiley

I apologize for radio silence on communication front. I just don't have the time and energy now for updates every day, and have no time to go through the amount of email I'm getting. I push hard to keep my word and ship before end of month, and it's taking all my time. I'll go back to e-mails and PMs after that.

Thank you for your support!

It's common practice to let bidding continue until there are 5 minutes with no bids. Besides, August 24, 2013, 08:09:55 PM was the time I posted the auction.

Payment received from Zublica and SmiGuel, Thank you!

Still waiting to receive from Jwest411 and TheAndy500.

I will transfer shares as soon as payments are complete (I don't want to bombard friedcat with extra mails). You have 12 hours.
