To my understanding tx fees are destroyed in ppcoin.
362  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AVALON batch #3 value for customs? on: March 26, 2013, 11:29:59 AM
Batch #1 and Batch #2 units had their value stated in USD on the website. Batch #3 was always listed in BTC only.

What USD/EUR value will be declared for import duties/taxes value? This is quite an important matter, as some of us in Europe have to pay up to 24% VAT.

It's gonna be whatever fiat value you paid for at the time of purchase. So, it's 7700 +24%.

Umm, based on what information? Source?

I would recommend an OCZ ZX 1000 W. Affordable and good quality, fully modular. Got 9.5 review score on johnnyguru.com

The PPCoin wallet is constantly using one thread of my CPU, any way of turning it (whatever it is doing) off?
It's mining proof of stake blocks. I don't know of a way to turn it off.
Encrypt your wallet. Then ppcoind will not be able to generate transactions without your password.

If you're willing to rebrand, I can get some award winning designers work on the rebranding.

EDIT: Bummer, saw your stance on this matter. Well, if you're willing to reconsider, the offer stands.

Update:

Nanopene has contacted me and promised to pay for the shares by the end of the week. This means, that the dividends might get paid to me, but I will reimburse him for the amount when he completes the payment.

Auction is hereby closed, Icebreaker and Berto will hopefully receive the ownership of their shares by tomorrow. I will now contact Friedcat to complete the transfer.

Thank you everyone!

From Josh's latest update:

Quote
..we can send it to the ASIC engineers who can essentially wire bond it manually and test the chips..

How on earth are the engineers going to wire bond a bumped wafer if it's not diced?! Maybe Josh should've kept that quarter for himself. You know, to purchase a clue Smiley
371  Economy / Auctions / Re: 900 ASICMINER shares auction on: February 26, 2013, 08:07:49 AM
If nanopene totally backs out, then I have a big mess on my hands, as his bid pretty much put an end to further bidding. I will need to see what is the fairest thing to do in that case. I've received tons of PMs asking for shares, placing bids, changing bids etc.

Icebreaker and Berto had higher bids than nanopene, and they have already paid. Needless to say, their bids would've been unlikely to exceed 0.5 BTC without nanopene's bid.

The dividend payment day is just 2 days from now. If I'm unable to settle this auction before then, it's all gonna be even more messed up, as the shares will not get transferred in time etc.

I hope to hear from nanopene soon, so we can settle this auction in a professional and fair manner.

Nanopene has contacted me and promised to pay for the shares. I have given him the option to a) pay for all 860 shares at the price of 0.5 BTC per share b) pay whatever amount he can pay for at 0.5 BTC per share. Unpaid shares will then be sold to next highest bidder until all shares have been exhausted c) not pay anything and lose the possibility of getting any shares. This should all happen before the projected dividend payout.

375  Economy / Securities / Re: [PicoStocks] 100TH/s bitcoin mine [100th] on: February 25, 2013, 08:05:22 AM
The fact that you're upset at Tom for not returning your BTC in a timely manner is not an excuse to troll other threads. I amongst many others had orders with Tom that were refunded by Dave in a very professional manner.

100TH Mine is a company listed on Picostocks, that has provided publicly accessible business plan and management info.

The IPO has closed and this thread should function as a channel for communication between the company and its current shareholders. Spreading FUD is damaging the value of investments, and in no way helps you to get your money back from Tom. Please take your issues with Tom to relevant threads so I don't need to ask the mods to enforce this.

Actually I misstyped 0.45, sorry guys.
I wonder if I can cancel it and get penalized somehow, if such option is available.
But if I must pay that much, it will take a bit until I settle a few things around here first.

That having been said I will pay 0.5 BTC across 18 shares so 9 BTC.

The auction has ended yesterday at 22 EET. I'm sorry, but I think it would be unfair toward other bidders to let this auction continue.

I'm sorry, but this is an auction, you should pay more attention to what you bid. Unless you pay the price you bid for these shares (and forced others to bid more than you) I will fulfill your bids last, ie. you go to the end of the line. You have 48 hours to come up with the payment. You may also settle for a smaller amount of shares.
378  Economy / Securities / Re: [PicoStocks] 100TH/s bitcoin mine [100th] on: February 24, 2013, 10:12:02 PM
Tom is in no way associated with this project. Dave is in no way involved in Tom's difficulties with his BTC refunds. Dave did an excellent job working for Tom, sorting out orders and taking care of CC refunds.

The IPO has been completed and closed, so no new people can be "scammed" as you seem to think is happening.

I'd rather keep noise in this thread to a minimum.

Could you take your off-topic discussion to some other thread? Thank you.
