If you use the big exchanges like Intersango, Tradehill or MtGox you always have to store (deposit) money on and intermediate bank account first.
If you do not like that and want to deal directly with other users you can use bitmarket.eu instead. You also do not have fees there, but for daily trading it is absolutely overkill since you have to take lots of steps for every trade again and you must trust the users with you deal with.
Also, it is gererally recommended that you transfer your coins/money right after the deal to your local wallet on your pc, so you minimize your risk.

So what? Just because virus scanners didn't recognize it doesn't mean it is clean..

> And how should an automated script know that a user had just made a mistake, pray tell?
I already explained how it could work.
> Do you think you could fix those nasty typos in the thread title?
It wasn't a typo - english isn't my mother tongue. Are there any other mistakes in the title, I only found one?

Does anybody know if the major exchanges like Tradehill or MtGox warns or prevents user from making mistakes? For example somebody want to sell his coins for 10.1234 USD per Coin and accidently misses one key and is selling the coins for 0.1234 USD instead. There are different kinds of mistakes possible like this, especially when people are tired or want to buy or sell in panic if exchange rate if chaning quickly? This would be an easy to implement feature, one has to simple check if the price the user enters is less (when selling) or more (when buying) than, say, 120% of the current exchange rate. I have not tried it because Iam too fearful what might happen

Yes, this will be quite interesting.
I don't think that the hashrate will decrease abruptly when mining rewards will cease. Until then the fees will increase step by step that there will be a smooth transition for miners.
There will be an interesting coherence between mining difficulty, transaction fees and the number of people actually mining (hashrate). At the moment we only have just two variables, difficulty and hashrate, but by then we will have three.

Did you verify that the installer isn't corrupt? Try to download it again and re-install.

Why should a state delete our bitcoins?

If there would be a limit of transactions per account per second, people would start writing bots which are operating in multiple accounts simultanously.
As long as MtGox is able to handle such amounts, so be it..

Last day, I stored 1 million dollar below my pillow. At next day the money was still there. So I think it it secure to store money this way.
