hehehe, i'm still planing to buy more but the current method of purchase sucks due to the wait time, can't you use automated escrow service instead
I'm considering creating an automated system for it - specifying it as we speak. Wait time is pretty much zero during GMT 10:00 to 00:00, outside of that I'm asleep, apologies. Usual nuances of eating, speaking to family, nipping to the shop etc. y3804, let's hope so, I'd love to see orders that low. please do read my previous replies regarding multi week strategy. As long as your IPO isn't complete, ANY amount above 0.001 is going to be a profit. Some people will sell for 5% profit, 10%, 50%.. but obviously the most greedy will be left with their coins.. That's why putting a 3BTC sell order right now is absolutely safe. Who knows? Maybe a whale holding 10K WOLF is going to sell them for 0.00105 and buy more from you next monday. Still a 5% profit. I can't even sell my coins at 0.0011. Some cunt is automatically selling 33.3333 WOLF below my order. Sell order removed for now I'm happy to buy them back and destroy them for your original 3 BTC (minus the tiny transfer fees). Why would you do that anyway? It's my loss, not yours. Once I get my BTC back I'll buy more @ 0.001. I have a 100 WOLF sell order @ 0.00109. Feel free to buy. Once the 100 are gone, I'll put 100 more, 25 times. Okay. It would be no loss though, 897k coins worth 897 is the same as 900k coins worth 900. Happy trading. Pineapples, welcome and congrats Wrong. It would be a loss. 897k for 897 BTC = 0.001BTC/WOLF. Why would you buy my order at 0.0011? EDIT: Fckers. Now someone is replicating my 100 WOLF sell orders for less than 0.00109. Fuck them, seriously Not to defend whoever is doing this, but it IS a free market over at Poloniex...

This is a mandatory update on block 15200! I've been working tonight on a solution to our "Whale", and have fully implemented Kimoto Gravity Well into Darkcoin. It looks ready to go, all I need is for everyone to update their wallets and daemons - If you're running on linux, please download the new version from github: https://github.com/evan82/darkcoin- If you're running on anything else you'll have to wait for the compiled versions to come out - If you run a pool please update your daemon - If you run a exchange please update your daemon Let me know if you have any questions. Awesome news! Glad you decided to go ahead and put in the work required to fix it for real!

He will stop right after the rediff to ~120. And we'll never get another rediff with our hashrate...
there is 1 way to do a rediff... doing a hardfork.... its a bit complicated, but it can be done It's no problem if it comes to that. We actually did that early on already, it's pretty simple. However, I have a feeling the "whale" is just using GPUs. The X11 algos are very hardware optimized to run on a GPU and I think it would have taken someone about this much time to implement that and launch a farm. Time will tell if I'm right, but it seems likely. If I'm correct, the hashrate shouldn't fall when difficulty resets (not > 20%) because the cost of running that setup is minimal. My personal guess is that it's a large cpu farm and will in fact disappear after the next increase, but you are right, we will see. The idea that there could be a way better GPU miner out there, even CPU assisted, means that we should have a talented developer looking into making an open source one, no? I also want to promote KGW once more; I think it's the best retarget algo out there.

we just got hit with the biggest botnet in history.. Don't think it's a botnet. Just a huge farm. Just out of curiosity, how do you know? A botnet shouldn't be so steady, this looks more like a guy working in a datacenter or something like that with a huge farm, it's really steady. you need 20000 aws 32 core instances to mine at that speed Nah, more like 500. Don't think this is some guy using a cloud. Not profitable like that, I think he owns what he's running. well i guess its about time to buy my blade server lol Crazy how fast the hashrate has risen. Say goodbye to double digit difficulty soon. 37 seconds per block, insane... Hope this means good things for the future. or come money and we have a diff of 100+ and he turns off the mining My concern as well, if we get good news about the new features though it could offset the higher difficulty with a bunch of new interest from 'normal' folks. I'm still bullish. This is what I'm banking on too. So are these hog miners. I hate that these dudes have the power to flood the market with coins if they so choose. If you stop and think, he really can't. If he just started mining about 200 blocks ago, the most coins he could get is between 10 and 15k. Many who have been mining consistently have way more than that. After next diff, it's looking like reward will drop to 25, meaning he won't be able to get as much. If he solo'd all 576 blocks until the next increase and got them all, he'd only have 14,400 more coins. This isn't enough to flood the market. The much bigger concern to me is the coin being stuck on very high difficulty.

DRK is very close to hitting 1Ghash/s and the difficulty looks like it's going to double next round, seems like there's a lot of growth
I remember when I was mining molecule coin, it was a CPU coin and the network hit 120 GH for quite a while. I think China had a lot to do with that because it was mentioned on BTC38. Price didnt really go anywhere cause the coin had nothing new to offer, just a quark clone, developer pretty much left cause he tried to premine the coin but someone forked the blockchain and ruined that for him early on. This coin has real potential but it all hinges on the anonymous block chain being implemented. If this happens I could see the price skyrocket as people everywhere are currently looking for the next vertical coin - panic buying will ensue. Eduffield seems like a pretty competent guy and I'm really hoping he can pull this off, he's done everything right with this coin so far. You don't invest in the coin as much as you invest in the developers themselves. Everything I've got (which isn't much at the moment) has been put into DRK! im very confident in darkcoin, start out slowly and its been growing steadily... and he has some exciting news to share later :-) network just hit: 1103.11 MH/s Some guy just dropped 600 MH on coinmine.pl. Even for cloud mining, where do you get that many cores from? Is Jeff Bezos himself mining this coin? He's around 1 GH/S now. I think this coin should implement Kimoto's Gravity Well. What happens if this guy (who is doing nothing wrong, assuming he's not operating a botnet), leaves after the difficulty increase? Our blockrate will drop drastically, and diff will take a long time to come back to reality.

You sorta forgot to note that the wallet miner is awful, and you can easily get 6 MH/s with a normal CPU.
and you sorta forgot to mention that there is no CPU Miner for Windows yet. the point still holds .. why release a coin that is not going to be fairly accessible or distributed from day 1. Er, ypool? Also, not sure how a "cpu" coin can have a "fair" launch (whatever that means). Now, MAX was a rather bad launch, but in every case the big boys with lots of power are going to get the most coins.

ill spell it out for the NOOBS who keep trying to configure their miners... if you arent already mining with GPUs then mining is pointless...
{ "blocks" : 1228, "currentblocksize" : 1000, "currentblocktx" : 0, "difficulty" : 718.44022474, "errors" : "", "generate" : true, "genproclimit" : 8, "hashespersec" : 224755, "networkhashps" : 114016116863, "pooledtx" : 2, "testnet" : false }
I have a corei7 running the daemon mining on ALL 4 cores... at 224Kh the network hash rate is 114 GH 114,016,116,863 that means there is 500,000 times more hashing power than my MEASLY PC in just one day.
don't be fooled.. there are VERY LIKELY - GPU Farms and botnets mining this coin from day 1.
96 coins per block, block time 2 every minutes = 2 * 60 * 24 * 96= 276,480 coins PER DAY.
this means that with a setup like this I should be getting .55 MAX a day.... and that's only IF I was mining in a pool.
mining outside of a pool i would probably be able to mine 1 block (96 coins) successfully every 174 days.
as you can see by this example.. CPU MINING is already unprofitable on the first day...
this clearly demonstrates that there has been NO FAIR DISTRIBUTION
that is why this COIN is a GIANT FAIL for anyone other than a BOTNET operator of someone with a MINING FARM and a whole lot of belief in MAX Keiser and a couple of wanna be charlie shrems..
if you see a problem with the math above please let me know.. I am just going off what I can see on my screen.
CHEERS
You sorta forgot to note that the wallet miner is awful, and you can easily get 6 MH/s with a normal CPU.
