The term "dumped" doesnīt quite do justice to it. Bitcoinīs current decline is rapidly de-capitalising the entire alts market. DRKīs doing not bad in the face of this firestorm Iīd say.
Look at NXT. Itīs at 30% of itīs last all time high.
The only thing thats going to really light a fire under cryptocurrencies is if Fiat is actually CHASED into this sector. That will be if the long touted dollar collapse occurs. (On the other hand, the money may just run into the new BRICS gold backed currencies in stead).
Yeah, I'd estimate there is at least some blood running in their streets. Buying opportunity?  |

God I hope not for the sake of the i2p guys. It took the XMR clowns months to build a basic GUI. I put together my own DRK wallet in a about five hours, knowing jack about QT. To be fair, I think it's being delayed due to a proper blockchain database not existing presently, rather than simply not being able to create GUI (I mean, if crouton can do it, ANYONE can (being a Brit and all (even though he might be one of the smartest ones))). Not sure what a blockchain database has to do with making some clickable buttons that do things instead of typed CLI commands... no, I think XMR developers cut'n'pasters are just plain clueless. Well, I guess they are trying to get two usability birds with one stone. Actually not sure. I know running a GUI that sucks up all your RAM and bandwidth as the daemon did last time I ran it wouldn't be too useful for general use.  I'm of the opinion that XMR is the most serious competitor/alternative/whatever to DRK (oh wait, the market is of that opinion as well). Anyway, carry on!  |

DRK price seems way too high for me as of now too, similarly, XMR price seems way too low, I think things will get more equal naturally over time.

Ridiculous based on what? DRK needs them to perform anonymizing functions. There also needs to be a "bunch, but not too many" of them. If you take away the incentives for running one, you likely end up with most of the owners being people that just want to snoop. If you leave rewards but take away the requirement, you get an unknown (but really, really large) amount of (likely) inferior nodes. It's because DRKs marketcap is inflated as hell. There are tons of anon solutions out there right now, and some superior to DRKs. If you think DRK is going to keep its current marketcap when other coins are advancing beyond DRK... Think again. First mover advantage doesn't necessarily last forever. I'm confused as to what you're responding to. What is "it"? |

not necessarily that RC4 will have an impact on the price short term, in fact a slight drop wont be surprising, I know that most people wont agree (I hope I am wrong)....before you tell me "but the price skyrocketed when RC3 was released" yes true, the price skyrocketed but not because of RC3 but because of a whale investing a shit load of BTC in DRK.... The price doesn't matter in the short term. What matters that is there are no critical bugs in RC4 and that users can finally send coins anonymously. Adoption and actual use of the coin begins at this point. As long as update goes smooth , price change will happen accordingly and no need to worry about that. RC4, means it is not deemed 100% ready for mass adoption. Final release, that is when things start to rock. The price should go up 25%-100% on RC4. 200%-1,000% on Final release with Kristov review. It looks like they are trying to get it ready to be DS+ denominated. It's weird, though, because the sets of 5,000 are being directed into the same address, which would make it not DS+-able (if you will). You can also follow it and see that 96,000 were sent off to Cryptsy since 6-12 (60k 6-12; 30k 7-30; 6k 8-8). Kinda strange, unless it is somehow explained by being a cold wallet for an exchange. Someone asked in Cryptsy trollbox whether it's them when they moved the 60k and someone from the staff said yes. You mean back on 6-12? That's interesting...I'm still curious why they'd peel of 5k numerous times today though. |

I'm speculating I will continue to remain correct and Monero will continue to fall like gentle pee on your heads.
Should have invested in a coin that was meant to be used for the long-haul and not just as a high-risk investment vehicle.
How about this? If Monero fails this year (goes below 0.001 BTC), I will pee on my own head and send you a photo. If Monero reaches 0.02 BTC this year, you must pee on your head and show us. Love it. I gave a clear explanation of market movement of cloak this morning , and what happened ? I was right. Everything i said as happened.
Been riding cloak since June and i do not see anything stopping its path, cloak is the next gen coin.
