[...] We are getting closer though.

Closer to what is the question. Something has to give...  Wink
205  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: February 19, 2013, 06:16:05 PM
There is no possible way we'll even touch the record of $31.9099 this month.
206  Economy / Speculation / Re: why I sold my bitcoins.... on: February 17, 2013, 07:54:20 AM
27 is bigger then 5 or 6.

Shit, better go get my tinfoil hat.
207  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kim Dotcom Announces Bitcoin acceptance on Mega! on: February 17, 2013, 07:36:48 AM
Does anyone else get the feeling that bitcoin is just a little too powerful for it's own good.

It's becoming a little too big for certain special interest groups to ignore anymore, but that was inevitable, and some might say the very purpose of bitcoin itself.

Bitcoin only gets better as it gets bigger, so I wouldn't say it can ever be too big.
208  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Delivery estimate for BFL single? on: February 17, 2013, 07:22:08 AM
https://forums.butterflylabs.com/announcements/692-bfl-asic-status.html

Shipping will happen sometime within the next week. I give them to the end of the month to be safe.

Surely you jest good sir, this is none other than BFL we're talking about. The end of the year certainly sounds safer given the circumstances.
209  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin market cap exceeds 300 million on: February 15, 2013, 11:22:30 PM
That's an impressive number, as was reaching 0.25 billion, but considering a good fraction of those are effectively lost/unusable, I'm not sure that's a sign of anything.
210  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] BFL preorder on: February 15, 2013, 11:17:41 PM
Hi I'd like to buy a day one jalapeno preorder, make me offers.

How does "get in line" sound?  Grin

Virtual keyboard is a billion times faster

Is that better than copy paste? Can't the virtual kb be solved by looking at the position of your clicks?
212  Other / Off-topic / Re: Yawn. Tesla Motors reveals that the NYT did a hatchet job on their Model S on: February 14, 2013, 09:13:37 PM
I will never again hold anything quoted from the NYT with any regard whatsoever, "isolated incident" or not.
213  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crash, what crash? on: February 14, 2013, 04:44:02 AM
Just goes to show how little it takes to plummet the exchanges. This is pocket change to some investors out there.
214  Economy / Speculation / Is someone TRYING to crash the bitcoin exchange, or just old miners cashing out? on: February 14, 2013, 04:42:05 AM
The last dip to ~$21.7 looked like a party crasher was trying to dive bomb the exchange, rather than cash out slow and steady.

Just curious if anyone here has any economic experience in this sort of thing, is this attempted sabotage to shake investor confidence?
215  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: February 13, 2013, 11:28:08 PM
The time to buy is now. We're way oversold at this moment.

Well, if The Fool says it's time to buy, then sell sell sell  Grin
216  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Are ASICs the last major evolution in mining hardware? on: February 13, 2013, 05:50:41 PM
well, the hyperx could be at the top of the bubble and the asic at the bottom...

Yeah, but that's nothing really major to write home about.

plus, given the stated development time, they could probably ship them out before  BFL

Jesus will be back to solve all of our worldly woes before then.  Grin
217  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Are ASICs the last major evolution in mining hardware? on: February 13, 2013, 04:11:49 PM
Coherent Logix's HyperX!

According to them, ASICs are already more efficient...
218  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this the crash/correction? on: February 12, 2013, 11:05:17 PM
WE HAVEN'T EVEN HIT THE DAILY LOW YET

INB4 we hit the daily low...
219  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Walletbit, please refund my Avalon asic order on: February 12, 2013, 09:14:43 PM
I ask that you send the amount of BTC I sent to you in return.

That's not gonna happen.

They took BTC as a $ value for whatever it was worth back then, and they will only refund you the same $ value @ todays exchange rate.

Sucks, I know, but that's how it be  Undecided
220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kim Dotcom Mansion: Press conference 2013-01-19 GMT on: February 10, 2013, 10:49:50 PM
I do fear that the 'bad' side has the ability to use whatever force escalation is required to win, but only at the expense of radically changing landscape and possibly in a way that would be to negative for them to stomach.  But the situation and balance of arms is not going to get any better for us as time goes by.  Our best chance is probably to release the hounds sooner than later.

The fallout and subsequent endgame appear unfavorable to the general public, and yet inevitable.

The best hope is to prolong  the period of time until then. Aggravating  the "bad side" into action serves only to expedite the process.
