1042  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Profit switching pool - wafflepool.com on: February 22, 2014, 09:05:16 PM
Is it worth starting mining on wafflepool with less than 1MH/s?

did this faucet ever work? Tried it several time when it was new but it didn't work.
1044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PMC] Premine Coin | Rare | Mining Transaction Fee Proof of Concept on: February 16, 2014, 10:39:40 AM
Damn, i've missed the peak price. Can anyone confirm that PMC went from 0.00001 to 0.00189 in the 24 hours span? Which would be an epic 24 hour 189x price turnaround  Cheesy

the highest price on coinmarketcap.com I have seen was 1.22$ for 1 PMC.
1045  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PMC] Premine Coin | Rare | Mining Transaction Fee Proof of Concept on: February 16, 2014, 10:38:16 AM
.... 0% premine is the fair one

it's also not fair, because miners with a lot of hash power will certainly get most of the coins while avg. miners and low hashpower miners will get much less.

And there was a fair distribution and Dev distributed all coins.
1046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PMC] Premine Coin | Rare | Mining Transaction Fee Proof of Concept on: February 16, 2014, 08:44:48 AM
after a rise of 6000-7000% within 24h it's logical that there has to be a consolidation soon.
1047  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PMC] Premine Coin | Rare | Mining Transaction Fee Proof of Concept on: February 16, 2014, 08:28:26 AM
WOW what is that? Haven't been here for a few days and PMC is on coinmarketcap.com. Current price 1.22 $ and No. 47 Cheesy

Could anyone be kind enough to provide a step by step instruction on how to solo mine on gui?

http://preminecoin.cryptotycoons.com/forum/index.php?topic=42.0

I have read thorugh that, but i dont understand a few things: what is the exact configuration for guiminer and how does the miner know which wallet to mine to?

Do you have more than one PMC-Wallet on your computer?

I guess you can configure guiminer with the following settings:

host:   127.0.0.1 (localhost)
your rpc port which you chose in the premine.conf
your username and password you used in the premine.conf

That's it.

and please remember that premine is SHA256!

so does it begin sha 256 interfere with me mining with guiminer scrypt? thanks!

yes i think so! PMC is SHA256

It's an interesting idea, but it would be difficult to work out the tx you pay and would dissuade movement of coin investors. A percentage based on what you hold will be fair for everyone.

That means for example someone holds 1000 PMC and the TX fee for any transacation will be calculated on this amount? Well when this someone makes a lot of small transaction he pays a lot of fees, when he makes a single big transaction the fees are much less of course. Fees should be only calculated on the amount which is transferred with a min. and max. tx fee.
1053  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Price of Altcoins and Marketcap on: February 01, 2014, 10:59:21 PM
Yes, but how is the price per coin calculated?

the price per coin is not being calculated. it's the price traders are willing to pay for a certain coin in the exchange.

I did not delete the bock data i just used the cmd   premine-qt.exe -reindex

Will this be ok or do i have to delete the blk etc and redownload it?

I don't know if I have the same issue, but if I do, how do I use -reindex? Create a windows shortcut to QT and add the command -reindex?

I did  it this way.

after updating the coin I am now getting error: {"code":-1,"message":"CDB() : can't open database file wallet.dat, error -30973"}

did you follow all these steps? It should work without any trouble.

yeah I removed the three directories listed.  Starts up fine if I remove the wallet.dat file but not with it.

do you have a backup of your original wallet.dat? (hopefully)

- Then start premine-qt and wait until it's synced.
- Stop the client.
- Remove the newly created wallet.dat and copy your original wallet.dat into the AppData/Roaming/Premine-Folder
- start premine-qt again

Why is the faucet down?

Is there a problem with the mac wallet/blockchain?

There was a bug in the code and new coins were suddenly created. it's fixed now but maybe someone has to compile a new mac wallet to fix the bug, too.

As it stands I need some way to download all the information I need about the blockchain then process it that way. cryptoexplorer blocked me because I was accessing too many pages, so if I keep attempting to try and get it working I won't have a blockchain explorer to use at all.

The API is just too underdeveloped for me to get the information I need. I could possibly try emailing the admins and seeing if I can get some sort of offline xml database dump to work with, but that's not really practical either.

Really need to find an easy way to read the blockchain.

I asked that before but maybe it disappeared under all the posts. Why can't you use the blockchain from your local wallet? Can't you "read" and "scan" it?  I thought that each wallet has the whole blockchain saved on the local harddrive?
