Hi CloakCoin and fellow CloakCoin holders, I am a big believer in CloakCoin and I believe it has so much potential especially in the future when people will value their privacy more and more. But this is so frustrating... I downloaded the Mac OSX wallet from the official CloakCoin.com site and when I launch it in my Macbook Air, it just keeps saying wallet out of sync. I have waited for a while and still it does not sync. Anyone know why? I would really appreciate any info on this?
Hi! Well, if you did the installation without any errors, the wallet will download the blockchain incl a current peers file containaing most current nodes. you use any firewalls? I suggest you join us https://chat.cloakcoin.com #wallet there is always someone around to help asap. we get your wallet up and running! Thanks for replying so promptly! Not sure what you mean by without any errors, as I think I did exactly as what the instructions said, or maybe the instructions were a bit unclear. There might be a missing step I guess. I will try to join the chat you mentioned. In the meantime if anyone else has any tips or suggestions, they would be appreciated. actually there is no step in between. when you first install the wallet (and there was no wallet and blockchain before) you can only click "OK" and the blockchain download (as zip) starts. you cannot do anything else here. so maybe the download was broken due to a lost connection or sth then you'd get an error like (cannot extract zip)or sth like that. ok cu in the chat to give you direct help ... |

Hi! actually 1 cloak is enough to be able to take part in staking and enigma -rewards. But 6%/year staking rewards for 1 cloak is very little (0.06 Cloak/year). The more coins you hold the better it is. 100 Cloak stake 6 Cloak/year (0.5 Cloak/ month) Whether staking is the only way to passive earn Cloak? There is no other way like delegate voting, MN ...? 6% can be very low yearly ROI. well, it is always the same, the more oyu have the more you can earn although the % is the same; same like with POW mining, the more you can invest in a mining farm the higher is your chance you find more blocks. Besides the staking reards you can earn ENIGMA fess, when users are sending theur coins anonymous and your walet is one of the cloakers. But currently there are hardly any ENIGMA transactions, so staking is the main source to earn CLOAK. |

I have downloaded the wallet for windows. Is there no opportunity to check the download with checksum?
afaik currently there isn't. The binaries are available on github. I contact the dev and ask whether this is possible in the future. |

Is there something wrong with the wallet? I should stake about 6 cloak coins per month, and haven’t staked in like 2 months.
Maybe you have a lot of small splits in your wallet? each split stakes on its own, then you need to wait a long time until all your splits have staked. check your addresses iwth coin control features. send all your coisn to an address every now and then to combine your coins to less splits again. Where do I check coin control features? Menu: Settings - Options - Display there you activet it. Then klick on send-button and you can see a button "inputs" klick there and see all your addresses and how many coin splits u have on each address, you also see their coin age and when they last staked. |

Whoooo....why such sudden increase in price today?  Am I missing something?  It only happened at Cryptopia, and price remained the same at Binance/Bittrex. At Cryptopia, for a few minutes, the value of CLOAK was touching 0.0005 BTC (200% of actual price). Seems like some pump n' dump group promoted it at Cryptopia.  Bwah...I was hoping that it was because of some major announcement or development milestone that I missed The next big step is the development fund. asap we will provide infos + code on github once there is the first testverion ready |

Der Blockchain download, wenn man noch gar nichts installiert hat, funktioniert einwandfrei, mit der aktuellen Version die man von unserer Webseite downloaden kann. edit: benutzt du vielleicht noch die ältere version? Ich benutze die 2.1 die Beta habe ich noch nicht getestet aber bei 2.1 funktioniert die Auslagerung über die .conf nicht!! Achso ... das ändern des Pfads .... OK das weis sich jetzt nicht ob das inder 2.2. beta behoben ist, muss ich nachfragen! |

I have some cloaks in wallet for more than a month now and staking reward goes from 5 to 7 days and back i never received any staking rewards, i have 0 cloaking assists also, i am holding cloaks in normal address not cloaked one could that be a problem? thanks
There is no problem but 5-7 days means you have a very low number of cloak. that why staking needs a lot of time. you can compare it to mining BTC with a CPU, but when your coins stake you will get the reward as long as u did not move them before that. Regarding enigma rewards: There're hardly any enigma tx on the network, coz most people still use regular transactions |
