A question about staking, let's say we have 5 inputs of 20k each, if one inputs gets a reward, is that input unable to get a reward for 8.8 days or that waiting period is only when first getting the coins in your wallet ?

The guide to start a masternode in the OP has steps in linux, is that required or you can just skip it if you use windows only ? Also, in the config file you must edit your IP every time it changes (in case of dynamic ip) ?

Any new byteball developments roadmap wise or tony taking a small break? I worry that price rise is more speculation than actual usage would be nice to see some development of byteball assets because real world use it what will really make this project moon even though technically it already has You aren't here since the beginning of this coin otherwise you'd see that this is the fastest coin when it comes to new updates, bug fixing and new features as well, tony rolls them out basically every 2-3 weeks. Honestly you could say it's only speculation about any coin but this.

A question about masternodes, do you need to have 100% uptime in order to not lose your position in the reward queue or there is grace period before you lose your position ? Someone told me for staking it's 15 minutes then you go back to the beginning of the reward queue. Is it the same for masternodes or you need 100% uptime ?
afaik 1-2 hrs grace period So it has much more grace period than staking ? is there any chance I can find this in a documentation or in the code itself ? I want to be sure of this. I assume all masternodes work the same way (they are all taken from dash, right ?) maybe better ask this on slack .... i can confirm the 1-2 hours for masternodes cuz i had some nodes offline in the past for about 70 minutes (updates and stuff) without droping off the reward queue. at around 90 minutes the node will go to missing/disabled state and will drop off the queue in my experience ... cheers alright, it's very good then, no need to keep everything on UPS thanks for the info mate!

100k eth was gather during the presale, the ICO hard cap is 200k, is that separate from the presale 100k, so 200k in total or 200k ICO + 100k presale ? Still would like to see how the 29% will be distributed over 4 years.

So how do I access my Bounty Tokens now that the Bounty campaign is finished.. It no longer logs in and only options are messenger/wechat etc..
I mailed them 3 days ago about this, still waiting for a link to login, since messenger login doesn't work at all, simply gives no link to enter.

what's correct block guys? I see on the block explorer #1481954 and I'm on #1482636. Is the explorer stuck ?
|
|
|
I enabled coin control and as soon as I try to use it, the wallet closes with no error message, using the latest 2.5.0 x64 win wallet.
|
|
|
How would you prepare for the ICO guys ? I tried parity with my last ICO and set the exact block number, high gas limit and fee (not more than the ICO team asked for, 200k limit, 50gwei fee) and still it failed, tried maybe 5 times and nothing happened. MEW worked but that too failed like 6-7 times. Is there a way to make parity repeat the transaction until it gets into a block ?

The latest wallet works for me but in order to not get any surprises, you guys better backup the whole blockchain before using a new wallet. The previous version ruined the blockchain for me, had to sync with bootstrap again, so just go to users\appdata\roamning and copy eccoin as is to different place and if you have any problem with the new wallet, just copy it back. Before you backup, make sure you sync up fully. (check if you have same block height as explorers)

im using latest wallet, i added a huge list of nodes suggested by Griffith. Man this wallet is not working. There are no peers. Very annoying. Kindly help out if you can !
Use the bootstrap, I tried it multiple times, always syncs up with boostrap, but the last 8 weeks are slower (that's the boostrap date).

BTW, if you want fresh money (noobs) to invest, it's best to change it to bytes not MB, right now a coin would be 0.00000063$, now that's insanely cheap, looks like it's almost free, anyone can afford that but I'd say bringing it down to MB is enough, you don't want the total supply to have so many zeros

I just checked the used/second hand laptops here, they are basically the same as I have E6410 (1st gen i5)with more or less ram/ssd, for about 450$ you can get a 3rd gen i5 with 250ssd and that is quite expensive for such old hardware so if you think a laptop can handle it, will put an SSD in mine and get 4gb more ram. I'm not used to linux but you think it's better than using win7? (not gonna go for win10) if so, what distro you recommend for such simple task ? Currently I'm thinking to use it for about 4-5 normal wallet staking and 2-3 masternode hosting.

Forget servers, buy a used laptop instead. That way you have a built in UPS in the form of the battery for uninterrupted staking. For staking HDD is fine, but with a bunch of wallets you might want an SSD. Just a qucik example: Refurbished HP Laptop EliteBook 2560P Intel Core i7 2nd Gen 2620M (2.70 GHz) 16 GB Memory 256 GB SSD Intel HD Graphics 3000 12.5" Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit - $381 on newegg ( link). At least this is what I would do if I didn't have a UPS already. I do have an older Dell laptop, https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834295366&cm_re=dell_e6410-_-34-295-366-_-Product something like this but without SSD. My problem with laptops are, their cooling generally is shit, I don't know how long they can go 24/7 with that cooling, especially when it all gets hot, cpu warms up hdd, and it all gets damaged faster than a normal PC, even the power adapter of a laptop is insanely hot, like an 1A phone charger charging at 1A full power, after an hour tops it's close to melting. Also UPS doesn't really matter because if the power goes out, my router goes off too so net dies anyway, it's ok for very short power outages I give you that. Do you use a laptop 24/7 for this task and you say it can handle it? I was thinking something like a tower server but they all have quadros which is useless to me. If it were a new machine, would build something with small form factor, micro atx, big cpu heatsink and massive 200mm cooler on top so it would be cool and quiet, but buying this from new parts is really expensive, a decent cpu cooler is above 50$, same for case. Btw, I can't buy from USA, I'm in EU.

Hey guys, I'm staking about 3-4 coins on my main PC right now and they eat up about 4-5GB ram (win7 x64 OS) and every time I restart/crash it's annoying to load unlock all wallets again, or copy old backup blockchain in case of pivx (database corrupts with every crash) also I'm thinking to add new staking coins, so I'd need some kind of a quiet home server. Building it from new parts seems to be quite expensive, small ITX cases, new mobo, cpu, ram, it can go up to 500$ very easily and it doesn't even have storage. I'm not sure if normal HDDs can handle multiple staking wallets, right now I'm on a 500GB SSD (this handles anything easily). Share if you know any good used older model home servers, like dell optiplex models, they are not really servers but I used a few of them and they are quite reliable. I'm not sure if ECC ram and xeon cpu is really needed for 24/7 staking, I don't think it's a must, any i5 cpu should be fine about 8gb of ram. Hit me up with some suggestions. Thanks

what is this bug ? every time I open the wallet it sync up normally but if I leave it open for an hour or so, the sync stops, the only way to continue syncing is to close the wallet and open it again. Does anyone else have this ? 2.4.9, 5 connections x64 win7

A question about staking, will you get any more coins while staking 24/7 versus staking only once a year ? I had coins back from 2014 and once I opened the wallet to stake, my balance doubled. Is it a fixed yearly inflation or there is something extra for those who stake 24/7 ?

Leaving it at 1GB makes it more expensive, at 1MB it would attract more newcomers since it's "cheap" that way After a certain price point, GB will be just too big, especially once it goes beyond BTC price.
