This was not power hour, this was power minute but 90% of the people who sent the transaction at block 1 or at worst block 4 (which was 5-10seconds later), they all missed out. So it was more like 10second ICO bought by chinese yunbi.com
662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Crowdsale] Firstblood.io - A Decentralized eSports Platform Based Ethereum on: September 26, 2016, 12:09:52 AM
Sending transaction <10sec after first block and was too late...sick

I see on the sale page you have this smart contract address, is this the main or test ? 0xaf30d2a7e90d7dc361c8c4585e9bb7d2f6f15bc7

Can't sync up this damn eth blockchain for the life of me.. geth drops all connections (dao hard-fork check), parity can't determine gas price to send transactions.
665  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: September 25, 2016, 08:11:25 PM
you can also use parity as the node this will definitely work

https://ethcore.io/parity.html

install it and create shortcut or find shortcut and in shortcut target make change

Code:
"C:\Program Files\Ethcore\Parity\parity.exe" ui

change to [ UI to --GETH ]

Code:
"C:\Program Files\Ethcore\Parity\parity.exe" --geth

click parity.exe shortcut to run it then open up mist. mist will use parity to sync the block chain and is very fast

I tried 0.8.3 with 2 different geth versions, its just dropping nodes (hard-fork check failed), now I'm trying to sync with parity, it became slow as well, about 9k blocks to sync but its going with 2-3blk/sec. 2 days ago when I could sync it to full with parity, I couldn't send any transactions with the 0.8.3 wallet, couldn't determine gas price and just aborted transactions. For days I can't use eth now, can anyone help here?

Dev, do you have any roadmap for this coin at all?

668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VRM] Verium PoWT Reserve | Commodity | scrypt² | CPU mining on: September 24, 2016, 11:20:40 AM
there is a new miner for Windows?if Yes then where to download?
Think effectsToCause is working on a windows version for https://github.com/effectsToCause/veriumMiner

Or you can build it yourself

Basic Windows build instructions, using MinGW64:

Install MinGW64 and the MSYS Developer Tool Kit (http://www.mingw.org/)
Make sure you have mstcpip.h in MinGW\include
install pthreads-w64
Install libcurl devel (http://curl.haxx.se/download.html)
Make sure you have libcurl.m4 in MinGW\share\aclocal
Make sure you have curl-config in MinGW\bin
Install openssl devel (https://www.openssl.org/related/binaries.html)
In the MSYS shell, run:
for 64bit, you can use ./mingw64.sh else : ./autogen.sh # only needed if building from git repo
LIBCURL="-lcurldll" ./configure CFLAGS="-march=native"
# Use -march=native if building for a single machine
make

did anyone compile this for win x64? I tried but I always get an error, can't find curl dir. Added path of curl to variables but nothing, copied it everywhere, still nothing.

Hey, I remembering having this coin, checked the wallet I last used, it was version 0.6.3.0, downloaded the new client but it can't load my old wallet file, it says this error :

"Warning:error reading wallet.dat! All keys read correctly, but transaction data or address book entries might be missing or incorrect."

What should I do ?

anyone any ideas?
670  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VRM] Verium PoWT Reserve | Commodity | scrypt² | CPU mining on: September 24, 2016, 07:21:04 AM
Everyone mines for potential growth in the future, at least most of the people with a single CPU, it's not to make a fortune but since the difficulty got so much higher, it's pretty impossible to find a solo block, I've been at it for 6 days, nothing.

" potential growth" on vrm??? lol

nice one!!

when I mean growth it doesn't necessarily mean "real" it could even be a big pump and dump, if you look on any exchange, every single coin had an up and down and I mean shitcoins that were truly made to be pumped and dumped, like panda, still early miners always profited even with that shitcoin which was a copy paste of ltc. This is far from a copy paste.

So noone can confirm whether ocminer's standalone cpuminer works or not? does anyone know of a standalone cpuminer that works for solo mining?  Roll Eyes

This is best solominer I've tested: https://github.com/tpruvot/cpuminer-multi
./cpuminer -a scrypt:1048576 -o localhost:3333 -u user -p pass

port 3333, shouldn't it be port 33987?

I have tried this miner but I don't see the hashrates at all and the cpu usage drops from 75% to 10-20% many times while the client miner stays at 75% full time (3threads), what miner do you guys use for win7 x64 ?
673  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Crowdsale] Firstblood.io - A Decentralized eSports Platform Based Ethereum on: September 23, 2016, 08:43:41 AM
Oh wait, 5.5M measure in ETH, so right now its already 300k ETH Pre order in Yunbi, which means once it reach 500k, even during powerhour it reach 5.5 Million CAP then the ico is ended?

Do not cap it by amount, the one hour limit is low enough, if you also cap it amount, you welcome failure just like decent did.
674  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Crowdsale] Firstblood.io - A Decentralized eSports Platform Based Ethereum on: September 22, 2016, 01:25:25 PM
I personally have an issue with power hour.  I have BTC set aside for this but will literally be at work during launch...and it is too late to fix that (tried). Neither do I have anyone who can function on my behalf.

Is this a sh1te out of luck situation?  I have no existential issue with missing opportunities but was logistically trying not to.  I have no power over this one though...

I would either ask your boss to set aside 15 minuets for you to complete this task and then stay later to make up the lost time.

I wouldn't suggest having someone else buy it for you because of security/ownership issues; they could make off with your 1ST. If you would like to find one of your crypto friends to buy into the power hour for you that it totally your decision.

You could always try to purchase 1ST for the power hour but its best to get in as early as possible.

Your response destroyed any reason I had to care about your project.  Thanks though!

Well wishes...

The proposed initial ICO is not perfect but it's really not all that bad, you have 11.8% difference from first week to first hour. This is more than twice better vs the initial Decent ICO which had 26.66% for the first day with 2k BTC limit, so if someone sent 2k at the release of their ICO btc wallet, from the block they received the 2k there was 2 blocks for you to get your deposit in, so whale sends at btc block 1000#, transfer successfully made it in he next block so #1001 and you sent at #1001 but had a delay of just two block lets say fast block times, which exactly before the ICO was a case, 3 blocks in one minute so you got it in #1004 instead of #1003 and you already missed out in the extra 26.66%. Not to mention that their site couldn't even handle the traffic, people couldn't login so they couldn't see the btc address for 30min+, in the end they modified ICO details because of failed start (oh yeah and delayed 24hours because the day before they were afraid they couldn't handle traffic, which they in the end failed at even with the delay).

Now compared to that, this one is better even on paper. Where it could fail hard is the traffic/errors during the first hour, that will decide the fate of this ICO very hard. They could make the first bonus last 2-3-4hours longer or lower the bonus to say 160 tokens so people don't feel like they missed out too much.

Pool is back up now Smiley

If you have issues accessing it you may need to run:

ipconfig /flushdns

Now I can work on developing it.
First on the list is the hashrate.

Please pm me any features you would like added.

did flushdns, but I get this
[2016-09-20 14:19:09] stratum_subscribe timed out
[2016-09-20 14:19:09] ...retry after 10 seconds
[2016-09-20 14:19:50] stratum_subscribe timed out

keep getting

[2016-09-20 03:46:11] ...retry after 10 seconds
[2016-09-20 03:46:23] Stratum connection failed: Failed to connect to cpuminers.com port 3333: Connection refused

Are you restarting the pool or there's something wrong?
677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: September 20, 2016, 12:47:36 AM
is there anything to update in the client or this geth problem is for miners/pools mainly?
678  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SINGULARDTV (ETHEREUM) on: September 19, 2016, 02:10:00 PM
If anyone hasn't had the chance to check out the SingularDTV Lightwallet, the process to generate an ETH address and participate in the crowdsale has been made quite simple thanks to our dev team. It looks pretty cool too  Smiley

Check it out here https://singulardtv.com/lightwallet

Here is also a video tutorial by our CEO Zach LeBeau in case you need a bit of assistance: https://singulardtv.com/videos?ytid=4KQ4VS_BirA

For Mist users there will be an ETH address for the ICO to send to and a json for to watch token ?

It's unfortunate when those in a position of power make false accusations against an innocent person.  In my case it was easily defendable and the accusations against me were quickly dismissed.  The truth is here, in the Iowa gov's dismissal letter: https://view.publitas.com/p222-9279/dismissal/page/1

Please note that this dismissal is "with prejudice", which means that the accusations against me were dismissed permanently, once and for all and cannot be brought back to court.  This happened because there was never any basis for the accusations in the first place.  I never spoke with any media about this, so any media stories stating anything other than my innocence are completely untrue, uninformed and one-sided.

I am happy to answer any questions about this matter.  So please ask them to me here.  Please also note, this incident that falsely accused me in the past will not be possible in the future with SingularDTV's smart contract modules.  This past experience is partly my inspiration to build this platform, to ensure that transparency and real-time auditing never allow this to happen again to artists and creators.

The only reason I was digging into the members of this project is because it looked good to invest in and I'm glad things got cleared now. Everyone knows how scam infested the majority of crypto currencies are. Devs have secret premines, they dump their coins while fucking over everyone, scamming in the beginning of the ICO etc etc.. I never seen so much scam elsewhere than in crypto and people invest in every single ICO, because they are hoping for the next ETH, 30x returns in <1 year and so on. This project can't achieve very high returns, at least not under 3 years but I'm fine with that. I have watched your long interview with icocountdown and  I understand the series will be individual non related episodes, not long ago I saw Black Mirror, if you guys can achieve anything close to that, I'll be very impressed, it's an awesome unique series.
680  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] PEDCOIN [Project Entropia Dollar Coin] on: September 17, 2016, 02:24:39 AM
Don't be fooled guys, Entropia is a legit (however -EV/money losing) MMORPG, this has nothing to do with it, its just some a coin taking the name of the ingame currency. Don't buy it, or don't waste time mining it.
