3. Does the pandaminer (eth) have freedom of choice when it comes to what algo, pool it uses ? It's a gpu miner so it can practically mine anything, do we have rights to remotely change coin/pool at will ?

They said we are allowed to choose whatever coin we want to mine, if the default coin is not profitable anymore.

I'm just interested if they will give us a list what else we can mine or we have complete control, like using teamviewer.

I have a few questions.
1. If I buy the pandaminer, how long is it guaranteed to work at your facility ? What is the lifetime of the product ?
2. For WTT to be worth, basically I need to buy and hold it for my miner at least 2-3 years to have the savings balance out the cost of the WTT and after 2-3 years they paid for themselves. Will these tokens be tradable or once you buy them, you are the owner for 50years ?

I'm at block 660833 and still getting new blocks but the explorer is at 660916, who is on the correct fork ? I have 20 connections.
and if I'm on the wrong chain what do I do ? I just left my PC to stake when I came back I saw a lot of small staking rewards, half of them generated but not accepted and then I was behind by about 70blocks.

same here...

There was a FORK?

when did this happen?

i am on block 660694

I fixed it with a simple resync, just rename your pivx folder in user\appdata\roaming and copy your wallet.dat and pivx.conf (if you had) back into the new folder that the client creates (pivx). After the sync I recommend backing up the whole pivx folder to have a backup of the chain in case this or anything else happens again and you don't want to wait hours till you sync the chain from the first block.

Dump Pivx as a coordinately dump incoming from devs as it is discovered that there is a problem on the pivx code that will demand devs to code from start some parts of which means zerocoin protocol wont get implemented BETTER DUMP BEFORE ITS TOO LATE! Price is going back to 0.2$ per pivx

any proof?

What other coins can do secure fully anon transactions that have a decent wallet ? last time I checked XMR their wallet sucked very hard. I've seen XVC but it's a much smaller project since the first dev left (new devs arrived) and the wallet is super simple but fast and anon. what else is there for those who need anon transaction? ZEC is too scammy since you can't verify total supply.. Byteball has full anon blackbytes but it's only p2p, can't be traded on a standard exchange.. If there are no other big players in the anon field, I'd say pivx is a good choice for the future.

The Breeze wallet will take the anon wallet of choice title when released. And yea,  PIVX is a garbage clone of a scam coin. So there is that...

that is for btc (segwit activated) only isn't it ?

I have never seen a coin  drop so much as PIVX before, at this point it is just pure stupidity to sell!

lol, you must be new or never seen an all-time graph, randomly I clicked ripple, see on poloniex, from 8000sat to 500~ sat, 16fold drop, pivx from 180k sat to 37k~ less than 5fold drop.. or check btc, from 1200 to 160, 7.5 fold drop, or ltc from 0.03 to 0.003, 10fold drop, or vtc 0.08 to 0.00003, 2666 fold drop... I have never seen a coin in the past 3 years that dropped less than 4fold after reaching ATH Smiley)

and one more thing, prepare to have your mind blown: pivx in the last 4months, increased 30fold! 3000% increase.

I think all coins you mention are Mineable ... YOu want to say PIVX will soon 10K?? LOL Grin

mineable? I started with ripple... I'm saying that up to this point pivx didn't drop as much as all other coins after reaching ATH.. man there's so much new blood in crypto these days Cheesy

if you have say 1000 coins in 2 inputs and you get a stake reward, will you have 3 inputs 500, 500, 2.xx or the stake reward goes into one of the already existing inputs?
471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PIVX] - PRIVATE INSTANT VERIFIED TRANSACTION - POS 2.0 - ZEROCOIN PROTOCOL on: May 24, 2017, 01:41:57 AM
I only noticed this coin at about 100k sat, then saw the 160k sat ATH and bought at 93k, 90k, then it went a bit up again and keep going down, so I got more 55k, 50k, 46, 44, 40, 38, too bad I got 70% at 90k but I realize this is not worse than dash, if it's functional and has active dev team, then there's no chance that in 6months time (at absolute worst) it won't reach 100k (not that I would sell it for 100k). There is no way this won't go up, just look at LTC, it's a pure clone, once BTC activates segwit, why should LTC exist anymore ? or why did it exist for all these years ? or ETC, did it die ? not even close, keeps going up. I see this coin as a better dash without the insane premine in the first 48h and it's much more decentralized because anyone can get in to stake, you don't need asic farms to mine it and you don't need insane energy consumption for PoW.

I'm just mad at myself that I was lazy to check the ANN thread and didn't find this earlier Cheesy

For those who are new to crypto and panic about losses, check long term graphs and realize, even true dead shitcoins (those that don't even have working block explorers and in some cases not even nodes to send transactions) have a 5-10x short pump, and this is a working strong coin with development team, even if it will slowly die (as panicers fear), it will have a pump usually once a year, just check long term graphs of any coin.

so there is no reward for staking ?

No:
Specifications
(42-v0.0.8)

PoS reward: 0 coin // makes 42 an extremely rare
Min stake age: 42 hours
Max stake age: Unlimited
PoS target spacing: 7 minutes
...

I see, so basically only the tx fee is removed from the total supply with each new transaction, whatever amount you hold, won't change without moving it.
473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] 42-coin Development Discussion Thread | Listed on CryptoDAO.com on: May 23, 2017, 10:45:13 PM
I don't get something, PoS and PoW rewards are 0 + tx, so basically just tx fees ? What's the incentive to make people pow mine or stake?

Tx fees is only for PoW miners, it is destroyed in the PoS blocks - that is how deflationary works in 42. Each coin will become more rare and valuable over the time. People are mined to take part in this process and protect their investments.

also how much you need to stake ?

The input is mature and ready to generate the block when the CoinDay is ≥ 1. You can calculate it. For example, the input size 0.04 will be ready to generate the block in 1/0.04=25 days, 0.02 - in 1/0.02=50 days, 0.01 - in 1/0.01=100 days, etc. Minimum stake age is 42 hours, maximum age is not limited.

Also,
You can predict the exact time when each input will find the block with the "scaninput" command. Select from the wallet menu bar: Help - Debug window - Console - type "scaninput" - press "Enter" and follow the instructions. Example:

Code:
scaninput '{"txid":"00c3ecf50748b41b63a8e9931845474c9c1d6daace72bae34e1d71080b54be59", "days":30}'

Code:
[
{
"nout" : 2,
"hash" : "000005cbefc94bfc6851d95fea7f87ee58498ffc64e9973719cc1f19b433df23",
"time" : "2017-02-25 00:02:44 UTC"
},
{
"nout" : 2,
"hash" : "00000c7e8ecc4c94ed9933601ce559071571f3dc8dea8c74136eb74bbcd1e0d3",
"time" : "2017-03-17 11:47:12 UTC"
}
]

so there is no reward for staking ?

this will be one of the last dumps to bring down the price before they release the series and the platform, then I imagine price will break ATH quite fast, I don't think it will go sub 10k ever after that (unless there's some critical flaw in the platform)
477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] 42-coin Development Discussion Thread | Released v0.0.8 on: May 19, 2017, 01:08:10 PM
I had some 42 coins back when it was first created, I see that there was a swap, is it too late now to swap the old coins ?

Send your old wallet.dat file to 42-coin@protonmail.com together with your new chain 42 address.

Which wallet to use, is there any difference between 42-v0.0.8-bdb-win.zip and 42-v0.0.8-leveldb-win.zip ?

Once you encrypt the wallet and back it up, how many new addresses can you generate and still use the old backup (so no need for new wallet backup)? is it infinite or there are a limited number of wallet addresses that are instantly generated when the wallet is created ?

How I missed this coin?

It was pretty popular before and during the ICO, not much since in here, communication has moved to their slack.

And this is very bad idea because everybody is searching in bitcointalk for info. I understand that they moved to slack but there should be a topic here about this coin too.

I see your signature is this campaign still active?

There's all the necessary info you need on bitcointalk, small updates/details are on slack, big ones are posted here too.
No the signature campaign was over right after the ICO, I just believe in this ICO so I keep it in my sig, could change it with some shitcoin's ICO for bounty but I rather advertise something worthy for free than trash for bounty Smiley
