1581  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Acceptance. on: October 16, 2018, 10:17:10 AM
It could still be regulated and remain it to be decentralized. Regulations will help to identify scam ICO projects, promote the security of the cryptocurrency users, Encourage the users to use the cryptocurrency as it has a lot of benefits brought, and etc. There are many things that cryptocurrency could be at help but with the problem we had in anonymity, more users are scamming another users for it has not been regulated.

See how the market stock exchange work. It was being regulated but how come that stock market exchange has grown? This because it has the support of the government and in cryptocurrency we are needing also the its support just like in stock market exchange.
1582  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO Investments Why Risky? on: October 16, 2018, 09:36:13 AM
Well said, I know OP that you have take part also in the ICO investment that is why you probably know all of this because of your experience in joining ICO investments.

Experience is the best teacher this implies that OP has gone through all of this. This is a good help especially to the new comers I even find myself new here and had gone failure already in cryptocurrency specifically in trading crypto. The market price for the crypto are unpredictable and it is so hard to identify when market price to pump up and pump down. Checking coinmarketcap.com will not be able to solve also on the market price movement of the cryptocurrency. Thus, it will take a smart wise decision making for this matter.
1583  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I dont think rank here divides person's knowledge and capabalities in CRYPTO on: October 16, 2018, 09:05:27 AM
One should take some time to read and understand what is cryptocurrency and the forum for cryptocurrency discussions all about and this will imply how one could and act and impart the knowledge about cryptocurrency.

I agree with all of you but in the new age of bitcointalk forum where the merit is implemented, then things has changed. Merits has come to prove that user with good posts and cryptocurrency enthusiast will be able to rank up. On the contrary, those users who are not a good poster or average poster will not be able to receive merits and will not be able to rank up.

but I have no difference between Legendary and newbie members. "The only people who care about this difference are the campaign managers."

It's about your name[posting quality, not your rank.

Ranks don't matter, really, if you're in it for the discussion and knowledge.

Knowledge isn't define by ranks; a great example is the current POTUS and his puny officials backing him on everything.

No one said that higher ranks are smarter. I don't think that is what it should imply.

All of us here has the knowledge and capabilities but i believe on high ranks that has a greater participation on the development of this forum and cryptocurrency discussions. Thanks to merit system, one could identify now who among are the good poster or not which indicates knowledge and capabilities.
1584  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I dont think rank here divides person's knowledge and capabalities in CRYPTO on: October 16, 2018, 06:59:58 AM
Somehow high rank members hold great knowledge and capabilities in cryptocurrency. It may not be apply to all high rank members but most their of posts are good. Check meta and this section(Begginers and Help) and see it for yourself who among the members giving valuable inputs regarding on the technical discussions for the forum and other aspects related to cryptocurrency.

You may be right because not all high ranks are good and knowledgeable in cryptocurrency. There are many users in this forum has rank because they were just here earlier days where merit was not required to rank up. It just need an activity for them to be promoted.

And it has been updated already by theymos

In addition to activity, everyone now has a merit score, and you need both a certain activity level and a certain merit score in order to reach higher member ranks. The required scores are:

Rank   Required                       activity          Required merit
Brand new                                   0                  0
Newbie                                       1                   0
Jr Member                                  30                 1
Member                                     60                 10
Full Member                               20                100
Sr. Member                               240               250
Hero Member                            480               500
Legendary   Random in the range 775-1030    1000

How to get Merits?

You get merit points when someone sends you some for one of your posts. Additionally, when someone sends you merit points, half of those points can be sent by you to other people.

The point is that if you can rank up with the new requirement then you are basically good and this is what happen to the forum right now. Most of the self made high rank accounts are knowledgeable when it comes to cryptocurrency. Basically, rank is the basis for the knowledge and capabilities you have in cryptocurrency.
1585  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It is hard to detect scammed bounty campaign.. on: October 16, 2018, 04:25:40 AM
as always even if there are too many guides on how to detect scam bounty projects still a project could be scam even after those lots of considerations. You can check the guides in the meta section on how to avoid scam project. Maybe it could help one to get a real one and able to receive good rewards in the near future. If you like to help you can post a thread for awareness on scam projects.
1586  Other / Meta / Re: @Theymos @Cyrus can you reconsider on permabans Rules ? on: October 14, 2018, 07:59:03 AM
Your request would not be granted for it will make things more complicated allowing you to lift the ban will let others to go and ask theymos to do the same thing. Even if I were theymos I would not lift the ban for a good reason that when join a forum you should respect the admin and the post of the people you copied and owned it as owned it for that is Plagiarism.

Plagiarism is a serious offense even in the real life situation. Thus, will let you get in jail for it.

I wish you have learned your lessons here.
1587  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: October Could Still Be The Month For A Major Bitcoin Bull Run on: October 13, 2018, 03:31:24 PM

Ouch!, just saw the story and decided to share it here for discussion, Never knew it was an offence, thanks for letting me know,

You should be more careful with plagiarism for it is highly offensive kind of violations and you will be permanent ban from this forum. Good thing that you could still edit your post before you one could report on you.

Anyway, I could not expect more bull run for bitcoin for I am tired of waiting for it. The only thing that bulls in this forum is the speculations regarding with the bull run but it does not seem to happen. I am expecting more now on how I could convert my investment to earn profits carefully studying how market price for bitcoin and other crypto moves. In this way i could earn through trading.
1588  Economy / Economics / Re: Smart people support Socialism. on: October 13, 2018, 02:38:03 PM
In my opinion, it should be recognized that socialism as an ideology opposing capitalism has long since exhausted itself. In fact, socialism has failed since the collapse of the USSR. In my opinion, the last country that still consistently supported socialist principles was Cuba.
Well there are good things that happen to a country that support this ideology "if" it will be manage accordingly. The way government interact should under the influence of the community. However, most of this completely fails for people who are in the government position were greedy with powers so they control the community and this will bring to civil war. I do like this ideology but I do not usually like the people who run an ideology like this.

Einstein supported socialism.

Pyschos like Trump support capitalism.
I do not really know about this if it is really that intentional when Trump supported capitalism. Maybe he is only aiming for the good of its constituents without observing any ideology.
1589  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Senate Struggles to Understand Bitcoin – A Scam or Genuine Innovation? on: October 13, 2018, 01:48:30 PM
senators, and the SEC and even american courts have no clue

US courts said bitcoin is a commodity.. again lets laugh
a commodity is a raw MATERIAL used to create other produce. EG oil=plastics/fuel.. beef=burgers/steak.. wheat=cereal/bread
bitcoin is actually an asset. not a commodity.
Yet bitcoin is also considered as digital currency used for payments even if bitcoin may not be suitable for payments because of its market price volatility. It must be understood that bitcoin must always be paired with fiat currency to complete the transactions. After receiving the bitcoin one may have the option to convert it to cash or trade it with other crypto in the market to earn more or could also be mean to lose some of the money depending on how one will going to trade.

I consider bitcoin as a genuine innovation. Government system could create something like this innovation to promote transparency using block chain technology. Anyway, I doubt that those corrupt politicians may agree with it but this genuine innovation for the goodness of the community and not just by the corrupt politicians.
1590  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why should governments accept Crypto currencies? on: October 12, 2018, 11:31:30 AM
Through blockchain payment will no longer be under the table. Blockchain could be the tool for transparency for the government transactions and the best thing is that we could trace it publicly without the hassle on going back and forth of the official in the their office. We can question some of the doubtful transactions.

The government could create their own crypto and it could be isolate the use exclusive for that certain country only for there will be a conflict if it will be introduce to other nations like the US congress who disapprove the ETF for bitcoin for they know that some of the nations will by bypassed the purchasing power of dollars. This will let the US government to fall down if dollars will be handed to other country.
1591  Economy / Economics / Re: People are not motivated by money. on: October 12, 2018, 09:42:28 AM
If you aren't then good for you but many people are here are just being motivated with money for it could be a lot of use as a medium of exchange. I know that money is nothing and should not considered be important but to what money brings may be the reason that money became a motivation and important to most of the members here.
1592  Economy / Economics / Re: How the Bank works to make money? on: October 12, 2018, 09:09:41 AM
There are many things that could be done with the deposits on their institution like lending it to someone and getting some interest on the money being lend, transaction fee deducted to every transaction being made by its client, and using it to day trade stock exchange market. There are more than this being stated so obviously bank has a lot of things to earn using the deposits of its client.

1594  Economy / Economics / Re: What happens if bitcoin price falls below the cost of mining it? on: October 02, 2018, 02:23:40 PM
Dont know about it because i am a newbie and just started to earn btcs by the aid of small aids Smiley
well for your information since you are a newbie there is a section you needs to visit. Try and check on meta section and learn the basic rulings so that you will not be banned on this forum. Frequent reason for one to be ban is plagiarism so do not expect that you will not get reported because there are many people here would like to report on you!

Now for mining bitcoin does not require that much mining fee because it will depend on the volume of bitcoin being transferred or converted. For example you have converted 1 BTC so there is an equivalent of 3% to be deducted on the transaction you will going to made and that would be in terms of satohis which has a corresponding value in dollar or any fiat currency. Again it is 3 % of the value of the bitcoin you are trading does the mining fee to be deducted.
1595  Economy / Economics / Re: My challenge to bitcoin on: October 02, 2018, 09:19:30 AM
I created a 6 minute youtube video to explain why I don't like bitcoin, but let me sum it up.  I see the us dollar as a debt backed currency.  Banks create money through loans, which are in turn backed by houses, cars, and people's incomes.  Everybody seems to think the us dollar is a faith based, or something, but I don't see it that way.  I see it as a fully backed currency, not too much different from being a gold backed currency.  Where am I wrong?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jujwQkhnoU8

Cryptocurrency is different with dollar currency. We could not just compare this two currencies. We all know about that when you say that those profit being made by the banks are real while in bitcoin is not. However, you are here in this forum which means that you have interest in bitcoin. I challenge you to walk out to this forum if you really do not like bitcoin. This forum is for bitcoiner's.
1596  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with the Unsold Tokens? on: October 01, 2018, 02:48:37 PM
Well there are some that did not burn their tokens instead they stipulating to create another round for ICO. And fortunately they were able to sold more tokens on the next rounds. This is one way to get a good project to be implemented. One must understand how important is the capital to be used to start a good project.
1597  Economy / Economics / Re: Starting With Nothing in Bitcoin on: October 01, 2018, 09:15:28 AM
Well it is so hard to attain a good reward. The difficulties start with how to choose a good ICO projects. There are many ICO projects nowadays that does not compensate well on their bounty hunters or else there are many bounty hunters nowadays that will going to join bounty campaigns and rewards. Definitely rewards will be spread with the numbers of the number of bounty hunters. The larger the number of bounty hunters join the lesser bounty rewards will be earned.
1598  Economy / Economics / Re: "Study" Shows Ethereum is More Decentralized Than Bitcoin on: October 01, 2018, 08:38:02 AM
So what does decentralized really mean? If we are going to base on google dictionary decentralize is a move departments of (a large organization) away from a single administrative center to other locations, usually granting them some degree of autonomy. This means that a digital currency has its own autonomy and its own rules and policy specifically in the market price movement. Both ethereum and bitcoin are decentralize but I could not agree that only ethereum is more decentralized than bitcoin. Reminders that bitcoin has larger and wider scope of its investors around the world and you can observe that by seeing its current market price and its marketcap volume. So relatively bitcoin has higher decentralized system than ethereum.
1599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hacked by a poor hacker on: September 30, 2018, 01:03:58 PM
It would be easy to hacked all those coins you hold by sending ether on you digital wallet. Well good thing that hacker did not even bother to take all your coins in your digital wallet maybe for some reason he has a lot of digital wallets to hack and do some trasfer of coins to his/her digital wallet. Good for you also that you were not able to be emptied by the hacker.
1600  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you long on, and why? on: September 30, 2018, 10:55:37 AM
Well I admire your confidence on promoting those coins. I know that it is good to hold long crypto because it continuously grow day by day on its liquidity of coin price. Perhaps seeking some comments and suggestion in this section would help boost and build up confidence of that coin in the crypto market. Hopefully you will get what you want in that coins.
