1541  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: KYC challenges on: October 30, 2018, 03:28:02 PM
What's your general take then!!..you support kyc or not?
Any effective ways you can recommend to making kyc procedures effective??
I have this kind of thought also thinking on what really OP wants to specify about KYC. Anyway, KYC is appropriate to local excahnges and this is effective to address abusive form of use of cryptocurrency. This is the only way we could promote cryptocurrency without the hesitant of some accusations about some.issues in the likes of money laundering and more.
1542  Other / Meta / Re: account banned on: October 30, 2018, 02:47:28 PM
Well OP please understand that plagiarism is a serious offense. There is no way for the an admin to unban the account. Besides, it is hard to believe now that it is really your sisters account and not yours. Check on the other thread same as yours asking to unban her girlfriends account. It has no difference with the other thread.

Sighs, a full member account was wasted.
1543  Other / Meta / Re: The new rule (1 Merit for Jr. Member) is already reducing spam on: October 30, 2018, 01:19:41 PM
OP updated:
  • In the first week after the announcement, 286408 posts were made (-19.05%).
  • In the second week after the announcement, 280503 posts were made (-20.72%).
  • In the third week after the announcement, 259694 posts were made (-26.60%).
  • In the fourth week after the announcement, 263685 posts were made (-25.47%).
  • In the fifth week after the announcement, 240339 posts were made (-32.07%).
  • In the sixth week after the announcement, 240045 posts were made (-32.15%).
Note how close the fifth and sixth week's number of posts are.
This means that the number of farm accounts post has stabilized and reduced to nearly -32.15%. This is really a good news to the forum and bad news for the user account farmer. I bet spam post will be minimize and users will be encourage to post constructively.

I am more than happy for this because it is so difficult to jump up a discussion with pointless idea posted in a certain thread. I'm afraid that hundreds of post per thread are all pointless and spam which is not good for a discussion process.
1544  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: wondering about the Merit on: October 29, 2018, 02:35:30 PM
It is so hard to get merit now. Creating a thread and starting a topic to make some concerns about the forum or how helpful the merit system will be distinguished as a post to gain merits. This is not how it will work. Take your time to contribute more on the forum, stop spamming, and be acknowledge. Merits will come upon your post if you will be acknowledge by some users here in the forum. Just try to participate actively and time will come they will going to notice you and then hit you with a couple of merits.
1545  Other / Meta / Re: Dear Source Merits! on: October 29, 2018, 11:02:45 AM
Dear Sour Merit,

I joined BTT several time to learn about Bitcoin technology and cryptocurrency. I also write some thread and comment on many threads too. But because of limited knowledge, I still not have quality posts. So, I always learn day by day to improve my knowledge and improve myself too.

Hope I can help many people in the future

A comment at a thread, I am not sure it true or not: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4934272.msg45829834#msg45829834

Have a good day!!!
I came to visit this post and was surprise by this post that got merit. It is good to acknowledge one's weakness and that you prove it here by in your post. However, it is good to do diligence on editing words that may be spelled out incorrectly. The word "source" and "sour" has different meaning so if one will going to interpret "Dear Sour Merit" then it is another story. I thought I am the only member here whose English is worst but there could be many here also.

Anyway, buddy hope you will be doing fine on what business you have been doing here in the forum.
1546  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Your Ideology Affects You what Tokens to Support? on: October 29, 2018, 08:32:32 AM
My ideology to support or buy tokens is all about a project that could be easily implemented. This is how I look upon buying or supporting a token. Some of the tokens are ambitious enough thinking and promoting a project that will take some time to generate ROI (Return of Investment). Since, many investors nowadays are impatient so the project will relatively fail for they can't wait to sell their coin/token holdings after token exchange listing.

So, it should be great to support a project where ROI could be seen right away after listing. I have seen one project so far and that is the CHT tokens.  I do believe in them. The market price for each token continually grows even in the bear market.

1547  Other / Meta / Re: Account with defaulted merits. on: October 28, 2018, 05:55:11 PM
Alright, Many thanks guys for the reply. I was only curios on some defaulted accounts where some users were not giving their smerits and just hoarding it instead. I ask this because I have read a post to where it says that theymos had consider decaying smerits if it is not given. So, it would be good for it to happen because a lot of good post and did not get rewarded with merits. Though most of it were on the Super Mega Threads which getting merit is unlikely to happen but still deserves to get a merit.

I will locked this thread.

1548  Other / Meta / Account with defaulted merits. on: October 28, 2018, 05:13:09 PM
Good day!

I am starting this thread for I cant see any post regarding with default smerits if there is any. Please delete thread if this post is not necessary.

I just want to ask question on those users who were defaulted their account with merits if they were also defaulted with smerits? Thank you in advance for the response.
1549  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How MERIT changes the culture of this forum on: October 28, 2018, 04:17:51 PM
Alas, only 23.670 accounts have earned at least 1 Merit so far as of last Friday. In a forum this big, with over 324.000 accounts that have for example logged in over the last three months (out of the 2.437.743 accounts), that means that there is a very large proportion of users that do not fall into the “change of culture” as you put it, if merit is to be taken as an indicator.

Many are still trying to see how they can roam around and just do social reports on a Newbie account, and there are quite a few attempts to do a “Hit&Run” as I put it (hit someone up for a Merit, and run back to the old habits once they turn to be a Jr. Member).  Let’s say that the cultural change only applies to a smaller part of the community, with a large gap still to close...
This maybe because merit is so hard to obtain especially if one is not a good poster. Besides there is no guarantee that all merits will be rewarded by the merit source. Some of them have high standards on giving the merit rewards and do not merit post like this which is not informative and constructive. Anyway, one could take some time to create a good post but not all the post you created might be good and constructive for some of it will be subject for scrutinizing from the users in this forum.

I have agreed with you that many now were getting back on their culture after receiving merits and now joining bounty campaigns for not all were born with silver spoon on their mouth. Thus, making this forum as a another source of income. Correct me if I am wrong.
1550  Other / New forum software / Re: Requesting Night Mode. on: October 27, 2018, 01:41:08 PM
Well this is a good suggestion for the forum for it could gave us the cool look when working at night especially if lights are off. The computer's radiation at this time is strong. But, I have tried also doing some alternative way in doing it. I technically adjust the computer' light at night and had also used an application to set into night mode. This can save the eyes from the radiation coming from the computer.

Well, hope it could be done. I will be the one of the user to  benefit this mode when implemented. I am nocturnal. Lol
1551  Other / Meta / Re: Ban Appeal - Full Member Profile on: October 27, 2018, 05:33:47 AM
I think it was just a gift from the entire Forum for friend's birthday. He made us a gift of plagiarism, and Forum in the answer made gift-personal ban.

Thank you,
Steven
I can't help but to laugh on this post for it seems funny to me and ironic. I do not know how does OP feel now after reading the post. This is why it is not good to mess up people here for they will blow you up.
1552  Other / Meta / Re: Be careful with Merit beggars on: October 26, 2018, 05:11:24 PM
Today I am just checking if the user is banned or not and I found out that user is banned but user created at least 5 more accounts to join this forum.

What a high level of motivation for doing shit posting.

It will give some hard time for the moderator to regulate this kind of attitude. It seems like it is so easy for them to create alt accounts with almost the same name. I wonder why the owner of that account was thinking when he/she made the accounts. Though it is not a violation of having alt accounts but if one is being ban then probably creating more accounts is ban evasion.

We know users are aware of this creating alt accounts could be a problem to the forum but do they care about it? They just mind themselves doing for them what is right even though it is actually wrong.

Again, this is a hard job to the moderator because of the unending process of ban and creating alt accounts here in the forum. Anyway, I hope one day there will be a solution for this.

Good luck to all MODZ.
1553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethreum Price By end Of Year on: October 25, 2018, 03:02:43 PM
I do not think that there could be a good market price for bitcoin this year as it seens the volatility is lousy and there were many huge day traders that will eventually pull down market into lower market price after selling their holdings.

This is not a good year for cryptocurrency but still we could not also lose hope. Who knows that one day that bitcoin will go strong this year.
1554  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Discusion] [Help] Helps to raise Ranking on: October 25, 2018, 07:03:32 AM
Just do your part and be good in the forum. Do not ask for merit for it is a violation. Do not spam on super mega threads instead take some time to visit other sections in this forum like to what I did. I  will attest that there are many interesting sections you can join and users you can meet that could help one to rank up. Gather good information in those sections for sure it could help you on creating good post that will be helpful to others. And that is the benefit of it when you will be just do good in the forum.

Take a look also on those high rank's profile and see on how they get some merits. Study the way how they create their post and on their merited post then apply it in your post. Start lookong them in this section. I bet there were many here to be found.
1555  Other / Serious discussion / Re: How do I ask for help without sounding awkward? on: October 25, 2018, 06:26:11 AM
Post your article in public and get the feedback of the viewers. The feedback of the 3 individuals from different team does not really represent the goodness of the article. So, post the article in public and then get the feedback of the community or the viewers. Then get another team to consider your article and the feedback of the communitu if it is good and if not you may do some editing in it.

Take also some time to be motivated by taking some research on individuals who became rich after some time from the doing of their work up to where it eventually attracted and start earning through opportunity given by the people who love his/her work.
1556  Other / Meta / Re: Can we establish a division for posters according to their quality? on: October 24, 2018, 07:59:24 PM
The user could be categorized according to his posting skill but this seem not good because it will going to add more factions in this forum. The worst thing of having a category for it would create a caste system. As stated in the wikipedia (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caste) that a caste system is a form of social stratification characterized by endogamy, hereditary transmission of a lifestyle which often includes an occupation, status in a hierarchy, customary social interaction, and exclusion. And for this only the recognized users will be benefited with merits.

So instead of categorizing users it would be better to categorized the number of merits to be given.

1-3 merits - for logical reasoning post, helpful and constructive post
4-6 merits - for techincal aspects basic guides, helpful and constructive post
7-10 merits - for highly technical & excellent post

This will motivate some good posters to enhance their posting skills especially in technical aspects.

1557  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Stop searching for merits and you will received them.- see Smerit as liabilities on: October 24, 2018, 02:10:25 AM
Newbie do not understand for this because they will just do everything to get merit and that by making a noise post to be acknowledge. Some may be acknowledge but most are just being ignored or label as spammer. Always everyday we can see that those merit related threads were being started by a newbie. Newbie characteristics in this forum were impatient to get merits.

I support this thread for this is a good post for all newbies and users to forget merits to just participate actively in the discussions.

"Being here in the forum is a privilege but gettimg merit is a gift"
1558  Other / Meta / Re: What do you need merits for? on: October 23, 2018, 03:38:04 PM
Definitely and if you always follow a thread like that then definitely you will only get annoyed. There are some of the users here that are not fan of reading that will go start a thread without searching if anyone here in the forum has started the thread already. They just want to get sympathy from others who did not also get merits.

And? they can't get merits for they will just be ignore with the merit source for they are considered as spammer and always do complaining instead of helping other users.
1559  Economy / Lending / Re: ★ ★ ★ LENDING ► CONDORAS SERVICE ◄ ESCROW ★ ★ ★ on: October 23, 2018, 03:05:20 PM
This is the first time that I have been to this section. I may have also to ask for lending for transaction fee loan if ever during the trading. I am lazy to buy small amount of crypto for transaction fee like ethereum for ERC20 tokens. But, first I just want to check if market for the tokens were good before lending a transaction fee for the trading session.

I should visit here often to get more opportunity to earn and get some knowledge in cryptocurrency.
1560  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there any chance of having one global currency? on: October 23, 2018, 02:29:42 PM
We have bitcoin that is already acknowledge globally and it is the dominant crypto in the crypto market. However, if you mean a centralized currency or a real money being unified for all the people around the world then that clearly won't happen. This will only create trouble from countries because of its differences and cultures around the world.

This is why as we go through the technology era, never it has thought to create a single fiat money to be use globally. But, a decentralized currency could make it happen in the form like bitcoin.
