301  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The role of women in society on: January 03, 2019, 02:48:20 PM
You could have easily posted this in that thread. I suppose now TECHSHARE will make another as well. I might reply later but otherwise I stand by my opinion in the original thread. I am someone who observes things for how they are and is able to see my own priviledge without feeling threatened by someone else's fight for equality.
302  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Some are more equal than others... on: January 03, 2019, 09:13:20 AM
@TECHSHARE even if you didn't use the word all, you did generalise at some point and the right wing along with the media keeps violating their presumtion of innocence. I did say it in the designated thread as well by the way.

There are many countries where women are way better off than in the US. Skandinavian countires are just one obvious example.

* Women work fewer hours, shorter shifts, less dangerous jobs, and take lots of time off because they are socially conditioned to do it. They are brought up to be primarily nurturing and do this to care for their families. If men did their fair share in this, women would work more hours, longer shifts, more dangerous jobs and take less time off. Millions of women do it, those that have been brought up in an egalitarian environment. It is a live social experiment that has proven this millions of times, yet conservative societis such as US keep failing to correct this.

a) Women actually DO commit much less crime because they are socially conditined to follow the rules. Bad boys are encouraged, bad girls get grief.

b) Social prejudice states men are mentally and psychologically stronger than women, therefore don't need any help and get ridiculed to ask for it. But good morning, this is not a feminist view or consequence of it, it is a consequence of patriarchy.

c) Men more likely to die because of dangerous jobs see *

d) Girls are brought up to be "good" - therefore they go to college. Feminists didn't do this.

e) I am all for men sharing equal responsibilities in child care, thus they should equaly get custody of children. Yet again, feminists are not to blame that women are seen as the caregivers and not men (let me guess: But, but...nature! No no - see the social experiment thing)

f) If society sees women as weak, they don't do military service. It would be good for women if they were required to do it. See Israel as example. Also Kurd women are particulary bad ass in military.

g) Homless men see b)

h) Workplace fatalities see *

i) for all these reasons and other affirmative action is sadly still neccessary

You did make a designated thread for it.

MRA groups have been trying to enforce your view for a while, but majority of reasonable and ethical people see that feminist movement is ethical and striving for equality.
303  Other / Meta / Re: Forum suggestion for countering low quality on: January 02, 2019, 04:30:02 PM
I don't think anyone is denying that there are shitposters at higher ranks too, who got there before merit was introduced and would have close to zero chance of getting there now. I, for one, think we should change the requirement for a signature to 10 earned merits, which would therefore encompass all the legendary spammers as well as the newbie ones.

Even 3 earned merits would be harsh enough... ~55% of Legendaries would lose signatures.

< 10 earned merits: ~70% of Legendaries.

Now this is very sad.
304  Other / Meta / Re: Forum suggestion for countering low quality on: January 02, 2019, 04:24:27 PM
I don't think further restrictions would be a good move. I don't do signatures, so it is not that I feel targeted by OP's idea.

What we all must keep in mind is if we want crypto to grow, we need new people. You guys are forgetting how important this forum is. For many it is the first place to get information and learn.

Too severe newbie restrictions would be a bad favour to the entire community.
305  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Some are more equal than others... on: January 02, 2019, 11:51:00 AM
I absolutely do not support feminism as it is now. In my opinion, feminists are now fighting not for the rights of women, but for the rights of weak fat women who can not change anything in their lives. Why are all the feminists screaming after seeing the movie or the game beautiful girl with magnificent forms? Because those not present themselves and try to make herself such a power is not present. I don't see any point. You can certainly say you've seen many beautiful feminists, but have you seen the faces of the founders of today's movement?

Seriously, do you think women are here for decoration? Another obvious sign of inequality, women's worth is socially defined by how good they look. They have to wear make up, do their hair every day and buy expencive clothes or they wil be perceived as if they have given up. All a man has to do is shower and wear clean clothes and then complain and brag how "she takes up all the time in the bathroom in the morning while he is great after 5 minutes of grooming". LOL

There absolutely ARE many beautiful feminists by the way.
306  Other / Meta / Re: HOW do I get merit? on: January 02, 2019, 11:14:42 AM
You have all the merits you could possibly need here. You are a full member, nothing is restricted for you.
307  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Some are more equal than others... on: January 02, 2019, 11:06:50 AM
You mean like US citizens are more equal than people from other countries?

And what about innocent till proven gulity for all those refugees coming to the south border, that are supposedly all criminals and "very bad people"?

It is absolutely untrue that men are falling behind in all aspects. In truth, women are still second class citizens, even in US. They get paid less, they do more unpaid work like child care and house keeping, they get sexually harassed and raped more and beaten and grabbed by their pussies, they are not fairly represented in politics and corporative environment, the list goes on.
308  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Get ready for Ledger Nano S firmware update to 1.5 - January! on: December 31, 2018, 01:55:40 PM
There are monthly updates for newly supported currencies. Firmware doesn't need to updated every month. If it works, don't fix it.
309  Other / Off-topic / Re: Buying and Collecting Gemstones on: December 31, 2018, 12:10:37 PM
The problem with your plan is as soon as you try to sell the gemstone, you will have to sell it at a loss as "second hand" or you won't sell it. Buy it for a piece of jewlery for your significant other/yourself, but I don't think this is a good business plan.

He is just a historical person. Human.

There will also be new signature and new derivation scheme for ZIL and ADA support. Among other great things you can read about here:

Dude, do you know how many MALE journalists, humanitarians, researchers and just plain old dudes went to places like these places and got their heads cut off? Stop blaiming the victims, it has nothing to do with gender or stupidity.
313  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Frexit? A potential rebirth for EU, or its end? on: December 29, 2018, 04:01:17 PM
There are too many economical benefits to let the EU fall apart. I would think the French people are aware of this, but who knows. We didn't think Brexit could happen, but it will. And while Brexit won't harm the EU, Frexit definately could.

I don't really understand people who don't live in the EU wanting it to end, but OK. I fail to see how the EU affects them at all. It is not like it has agressive foreign policy, notable military force, harmful views for enivronment protection, nor is it starting trade wars. Who is afraid of the EU and more importantly, WHY? Because of what it could become? Because it sure as hell isn't much of a factor in international affairs compared to the big players.

As an EU citizen I appreciate free travel, being able to use the EURO, being able to live, work and vote in other EU countries and yeah, the feeling of belonging to something great. The EU has also adopted a charter of human rights that have to be observed by all the member states and the Court supervises this.

Honestly an average citizen hardly feels the effects of EU legislation and authority. Most of legal relations are governed by national law. A member state can even rebel (for example Hungary and Italy regarding refugees), but not much harm will come to it.

I definately think the EU should be governed more democratically. This shouldn't be too hard to change. Then people would realise the EU is not to blame for every single problem. The EU is a handy scape goat. If EU diasppears, thir problems won't disappear with it.

Humanity Angry...

No, this is not humanity.
315  Other / Politics & Society / Re: #metoo as I say, not as I do - Bill C-51 - Sexual Assault Law In Canada on: December 27, 2018, 07:52:10 AM
A whole caravan of people has been marked as criminals wirhout an honest examination of all of the evidence or an impartial hearing.
316  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Demands of Gilet Jaunes (Yellow Vests) on: December 18, 2018, 10:13:39 AM
When I stated the demands are "socialist", I got called "not smart" and my post was deleted. Probably not the post where I got called that, but okay. Granted, it was one line post, but sometimes a duck is a duck, I didn't see the need to elaborate for the audience here who I am sure is monitoring the situation closely. Apologies to the moderator.

Anyway, I don't think this is just a leftist infiltration into the right wing movement. If it is, it is pretty damn good and it looks like the infiltration will take over. If all these parasites are so competent, the host will die.

BUT. France is about freedom, equality and brotherhood. It always has been. Think long and hard about that.
317  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Love's last hope: Consensual non-monogamy on: December 17, 2018, 06:23:31 PM
Divorce rates are higher nowadays because divorce is legal. It doesn't MORE people cheat than in the past. Nothing has changed that warrants change in this respect. Same percentage of people is getting betrayed, but luckily they can now escape bad marriages. There is nothing wrong with divorce. Find someone who is better suited for you. If someone betrays the person who loves them, they kind of have it coming, right? I don't believe cheaters should get an out in a form of society's aproval. And I definately don't think polyamory should become the new norm. If it suits you, fine, but don't expect a fan club.
318  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you think countries should leave the EU? on: December 17, 2018, 06:06:20 PM
Legislation can only be proposed by the unelected commission. The only elected institutions are the council of Europe and the parliament and all they ever do is rubber stamp and approve/disapprove (respectively) bills.

Again, be careful

If that point of view was popular, guess what the European commission would do? Give everyone the vote. They know how to manipulate public opinion, and it would only make the commission more legitimate, not less. And it would also be one more step on the road to changing the EU into the United States of Europe.

Yes, be careful, especially if you are in the US.
319  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Love's last hope: Consensual non-monogamy on: December 17, 2018, 03:51:20 PM
Polyamory is about commitment though.  Its a huge misconception to think that it is about randomly sleeping around.   Monogamy is great for some people and they should stick with it.  You should definitely pursue plain ole monogamy if that is what works for you and your partner.  I'm just saying that people who know it's not for them should not force themselves or their loved ones to pretend monogamy.  You should support this more than anyone else because you don't want a partner who pretends to be committed to you and hides another lover behind your back.  You are exactly the type of person who is at risk to be hurt by these people.

So you are saying polyamours people will lie to and betray those who are only interested in monogamous relationship? We should all support polyamorus people or else? LMAO
320  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you think countries should leave the EU? on: December 16, 2018, 02:56:47 PM
Other countries should stay out of this. If Britain, Greece or whichever country wants to leave the EU, fine, but that is between them and the EU, not the rest of the world.

Maybe people in the US have had enough of other people getting involved in our political processes.

That includes all this silly "open borders" propaganda and funding to create chaos at our southern border.

Maybe some of you could use a dose of your own medicine?

Are you comparing calls for humanity to calls for ENDING the EU? Really? Is the US so incompetent it can't handle some refugees at the southern border? How about every blue state should leave the US to resist the tyrant dictator Trump?
