421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can the massive creation of Altcoins can be stopped? on: October 04, 2018, 05:43:57 PM
It can be if we stop buying new coins. Which we should if we want the good ones to prosper.

The mobile mining is an airdrop.

How much can one make per day in mobile with around 30H/s at the moment? Not using the app for some time now

It's about 3-6 ETN per day depending on your CPU of smartphone but it seems nobody mines ETN on the mobile phone because it's not worth mining on smartphone and it's running out of battery quickly.

I don't know what kind of mobile phone you have, but before the rise in price you would get 10 in 2 days and now it takes almostna week to get 10 coins.

There is no overheating or battery drain of any kind. Also the number of active "miners" on the phone has grown in recent times again so I don't know what in the world you are talking about.

Airdrop rate sure has dropped. Not much more of free money will come, people will just have to buy. Still room till ATH, but who knows for how long  Smiley

Airdrop? Are you really serious about that but there is no airdrop campaign was active. If there was secret promo for only special community members than it is big surprise for me to let know right now.

The mobile mining is an airdrop.
427  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We need to change on: October 02, 2018, 05:04:49 PM
I have only gained good things from cryptocurrencies (they have changed my life for the better), however, I am frustrated at those who are in for money, and only money. They hurt themselves as well as cryptocurrencies future. I am sad that I still can't use bitcoin to purchase the things I want, as it isn't used as a payment currency/method. I am sad that there are big financial institutions that want (and do their best) to wipe the crypto world out, and instead of working together as a crypto-community to thrive, we are fighting, arguing, and scamming each other. Where I live, the government relentlessly tightens and destroys our financial lives—I was lucky to have found salvation in cryptocurrencies when others struggled.

We need to show the world that we are not just a bunch of wanna-be millionaires, that we actually care.

People are just waiting for the next bull run so they can dump. I have posted a thread claiming fear and greed has crashed the market. I hope it does not happen again.

Congratiolations! You are an inspiration and a great motivator. You are doing what I strive to do. I never thought I would learn so much in Meta board (and even beginners board). Thank you!
431  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Steady, permanent growth is possible - this is OUR opportunity to turn things on: October 01, 2018, 04:07:01 PM
since you are talking about crypto not bitcoin you are very wrong about 90% of the things you just said. most of them are scams, are ponzi schemes,... and they have been pump and dumping and that is why they have been dropping constantly while bitcoin was stable and staying above $6k all this past couple of months.

a steady and permanent growth requires an steady and permanent adoption. but it does not exist for altcoins. majority of people see them as a method of making good profit in short term as they get pumped and give them up just as easily too since they get their profit they were looking for.

if you want Steady, permanent growth of "crypto" then go to the shops around you and start trying to convince them to accept the "crypto"currency you have in mind. and see what happens. then also do it with bitcoin and see what happens.

I can pay with bitcoin just fine Smiley

first of all you are talking about all cryptocurrencies in your staring post and that is what my answer is all about, it is not about bitcoin. there currently are a lot of places where you can spend your bitcoin both online and offline.
secondly this example is just a tiny one in one small city that was created mostly to focus on bitcoin. it is even called BTC  city!

You are wrong, the BTC in the name is short for goods trading center in translation. It exists since the nineties and it was NOT created to focus on Bitcoin Grin It is a shopping mall that started to accept Bitcoin and I don't know if it already done, but it will accept some other crypto currencies.

I have realised the importance of Bitcoin but I also realise the importance of some altcoins. Make peace with it.
432  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Steady, permanent growth is possible - this is OUR opportunity to turn things on: October 01, 2018, 03:46:20 PM
There are a few fundamental altcoins that will solve problems and SURVIVE. They are not competitors of Bitcoin and they can coexist. That is why I say crypto. Those who hold Bitcoin have nothing to fear from other fundamental altcoins because it will always be number one. Bitcoin is the most important crypto currency in existance. If it crashes, people see it as Ponzi.

434  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Steady, permanent growth is possible - this is OUR opportunity to turn things on: October 01, 2018, 03:07:57 PM
The reason for market crash is greed and fear. People didn't really believe in Bitcoin and other crypto currencies. They didn't believe in value of crypto, the vision, the future, the growth. They feared the growth is not sustainable so when they feared the price got too high, they started to panic and sell sell sell...giving the impression all it was, was a Ponzi scheeme. Some gained and most lost. Those who gained however missed an opportunity to gain even more.

If crypto grows permanently, steadily, if it becomes mainstream, everyone will benefit, noone will lose. If greedy scared people do massive sell-off after next bull run, we will see the same depression happen again.

So think about what you want, do you want to prosper and see others prosper as well, do you want a future that entails wide usage of crypto or do you just want to gamble if you will sell on time?

This is our opportunity to turn things around. Don't blow it, people.

Huge pump on bilaxy.Com
Strange thing is that I can't find any announcement regarding listing there, and now $900k 24h trading with 20% up, only there.
Looks like a pump dump group want to manipulate the price.

It could be people from "competitive" coins that really are no competition at all. The team and heck, even community is laying low, but TAU is bound to be found and people are going to feel threatened by it. It is far more superior than any competition. We should be careful in these times and persist.
436  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Your post history is responsible for your unmerited status. on: September 30, 2018, 06:31:35 PM
This topic has made me think and wonder for hours.

My goal here is not bounties, signature campaigns etc. My country would tax me and possibly give me a penalty for doing such activity, because I have a job and you can't work full time and do "enterpreneurship" as they would call it in free time without taxation. And for me to be worth it to be taxed, I would have to make much more than I make at my job, because jobs are more secure than crypto. For me at least. I am simply not equiped to quit my job for crypto. So my only option is to invest a little.

My goal here is to learn, be part of the community, support crypto, have FUN and try make my life better with the knowledge I gain. In reality, I don't need merits for that. I really want to motivate people most of all. Not just on the forum, in real life, too and I have gently explained crypto to a few people who used to be opposed to it. I have always been a motivator. If I believe in something, I can help others not despair. Not like a preacher or anything like that. Like a friend. This is the impression I want to give.

One thing I do want, is an avatar. I have a funny one picked out. I do need merits for that. So I kind of want to achieve 100 of them in the future.

I went through my post history. Obviously some of my posts got merited. Most have not though. Most of my posts are one liners. Sometimes I don't have a whole lot to say or I state my opinion shortly and bluntly. Sometimes I joke and sometimes my jokes are not funny. Sometimes I criticise, warn. And Oh my Dog, the spelling errors, eek! A LOT of times I cheer the projects I believe in in their respective ANN threads. Like I would cheer for my football team. Just like I do cheer for my football team actually. I don't cheer my football team elaborately and deeply.

So if I look through my post history and think what my average post looks like, it is not really the impression I most want to give. I had no idea people go through post histories. I have never done it. But it is legitimate to do it in order to award merits to the most deserving. It will make this forum a better place for all of us. I tend to turn on my deep and elaborate mode the more quality posts I see, so it will make me a better poster, too. Maybe one day this forum will become an ALL quality posts forum like some academic forums. It would be wonderful actually.

Until then, I can't quite quit my one liners and cheers, but I will try to be better. Smiley

So thank you for this post, it has been an eye opening experience for me.

439  Other / Serious discussion / Re: What is your stance on capital punishment? on: September 29, 2018, 02:03:57 PM
Do I think some criminals deserve capital punishment? Yes. Some may deserve 50 years of forced labor instead.

Do I believe capital punishment should be used? That is for each individual country to decide, taking in regard their values.

In my country there is no capital punishment and I don't think there should be.

Legal system is far from perfect. Few people realise this, but evidence is too often unreliable. Especially witnesses, their memory and perception is often so flawed, many experts say there should always be corroborating evidence of highest forensic value or there is no ground to find guilt beyond reasonable doubt. Confessions are often false. 100% certainty is out of reach.

If legal system was clairvoyant and able to convict with 100% certainty, then maybe it could justify capital punishment. Beyond reasonable doubt is just not enough.
440  Other / Serious discussion / We are from all around the world on: September 29, 2018, 05:50:23 AM
Bitcointalk.org community comes from all around the world and is very diverse. Someone's monthly income might have been 10.000 $ starting out, someone's may only be 100$. There is no equal standard of living all around the world.

For someone, a 100$ investment may be very big. Or even 20$. It is disrespectful to call their investments miniscule or insignificant. Everyone should have an opportunity to try to make their lives better with crypto. It is the intention of crypto currencies. And affter all, it crypto currencies are to be mainstream, people with limited assets should not be exculded and alienated.

So please, respect one another and each person's struggle.
