381  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need a task for get merit?? on: October 30, 2018, 05:49:10 AM
No competition or special task is needed. Everyone with half a brain should have figured out how to get merit and it is NOT by elaborate merit begging or "good" suggestions like this one. This merit hunt is getting absurd. I think probably 1 merit to become junior member is not enough. The requirement should be raised up to 5.
382  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Merkel not seeking Reelection! on: October 29, 2018, 05:41:33 PM
Merkel is called Pandora here. The fear now is she opened up a can of worms and noone else will want to keep cleaning up her mess. If she steps down as chancellor, it will wreck havoc. I think we will be facing mass deportations now and unrest in the countries where people are deported to. Nationalist parties may gain even bigger momentum. It won't be pretty.

Is there any statistic showing the total number of members of a particular rank? For example how many newbs, juniors, members, full members etc there are? That would be interesting to see.
384  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 2018 USA Mid Terms! Red or Blue Waves?!? on: October 28, 2018, 07:49:44 PM
....
Turns out when people have healthcare they end up liking it, kind of unbelievable but somehow it's true!

Ain't all that free shit nice?

There is also that free wall. Must feel nice.
385  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 2018 USA Mid Terms! Red or Blue Waves?!? on: October 28, 2018, 06:59:49 PM
I never said our current healthcare system was perfect. However if you can afford it, its great. As stated, in its current form it is incredibly inefficient. The problem though is this country has been implementing Socialist type policies for some time now, along with all kinds of red tape and excessive regulations that make things SO DIFFICULT for doctors, they are just quitting in droves. BTW, this was well underway while Obama was still in office, so no knee jerk "MORE PROOF ORANGEMAN BAD" here please.

The policies you are advocating are the cause of the issues, not the solution.

And those who can't afford it?

Market is not going to solve the issues. If that was possible we wouldn't be spending 18% of GDP on healthcare for 90% of the population while other countries cover 100% with half that. We can continue arguing about it for 50 more years but eventually "socialist" policies - such as tax-funded full coverage and price controls - will be implemented.

The majority of Americans were against the ACA (which is hardly socialist) but now that they have had it for a few years the majority of Americans love it...  Americans love it SO MUCH that the Republicans are now campaigning on keeping it while filing a lawsuit to repeal it LOL.

Turns out when people have healthcare they end up liking it, kind of unbelievable but somehow it's true!

I don't understand the American obsession with communism and socialism (no, they are not one and the same). It is almost like seeing ghosts. They hardly exist anymore. The wellfare or social state systems are not the same as socialism. And not even the wellfare state is required to be able to have afordable health care. This is 2018.
386  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Active Shooting at Pittsburgh Synagogue 7+ dead already on: October 28, 2018, 02:59:40 PM
Here is a fact - if one doesn't own or has possesion of a gun, they can't commit a mass shooting. Another fact - the opposite is also true. In a country where millions are able to buy guns as easily as cotton candy there are bound to be nutjobs that will commit these attrocities. And while it is tragic every time, I can't believe that so many people in US are unable to make the connection and demand that something is done about it.

Don't ask what the forum can do for you, ask yourself what you can do for the forum! What can YOU do to contribute?
388  Other / Meta / Re: Reporter Statistics on: October 28, 2018, 06:53:21 AM
I only have a tiny number of reports and accuracy is not the best because with a tiny number of reports, one non good one will bring your percentage down. But I am proud nevertheless because I am still kind of new but have helped to handle some serious prohibited behaviour.
389  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Women in Crypto - Where are they and who are they? on: October 27, 2018, 06:51:27 AM
Because women are not that good when it comes to business and technical things. It's an evolutionary thing. Men were taking risks by going for a hunts etc. and women stayed in a cave and protected their home/ children. It's still valid. Of course there is lot of women that will take risks and lot of men who won't, but not majority.

You do realise you are generalising even though you want to make it appear as if you are not. I personally know a group of crypto enthusiasts where the women are actually in majority. They have stated they won't expose themselves as women online though, because first of all in crypto gender does not matter and there is so much prejudice against them. The dude you are debating with may easily be a woman. Same as in online gaming, there are many women that won't reveal their gender because it simply does not matter and they don't have to listen to some sexist bullshit. Gender hardly matters anymore in most areas of human life except of course in family planning and some other.
390  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Legalization of drugs? on: October 27, 2018, 06:38:55 AM
I am against legalisation of drugs, because individuals high on drugs will be too easy to manipulate without them having a single critical thought. It will be too easy for governments to impose onto them whatever the hell they want. A mass of easily led sheep. Not to allow mass use of drugs is a way for a government to protect the people from itself.
391  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Explosive devices sent to Bill/Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, George Soros, CNN on: October 26, 2018, 05:55:12 PM

How about we start talking about the guy that incited the right? Trump's a symptom of the propaganda machine, but the buck does stop with the President, in my opinion.

The president is not responsible for this wackos actions, however he is responsible IMO for embracing and encouraging an environment which would give a mentally unstable person the idea that what he was doing was wanted and helpful to America.

Paraphrasing from Les Mis:  The real problem is not the criminal that takes advantage of the darkness but the autocrat who creates the darkness in which the criminal thrives!

Trump is the problem.

Indeed. I remember clearly when Trump said "2nd amendment people" could potentially harm H. Clinton.

He definitely isn't smart. Sending a package without getting caught is pretty much impossible, particularly for someone already known to the authorities. He seems to be a registered Republican though and has a history of being a criminal and a conspiracy nutjob.

Why would he help Democrats?

Suspect Cesar Sayoc is a registered Republican with an extensive criminal history who appears to have owned dry cleaning and catering businesses, NBC News reported, citing public records.

I am not surprised he is not smart. To me his idol doesn't seem very smart either. I am literally shocked every time he opens his mouth. I can't believe he is born American.
393  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Explosive devices sent to Bill/Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, George Soros, CNN on: October 26, 2018, 03:11:43 PM
Authorities have made an arrest in relation to this.

We will probably find out his political affiliations soon and potentially his motives.

I can't wait to find out. Then we will see if the old saying is true. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck...
394  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Explosive devices sent to Bill/Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, George Soros, CNN on: October 24, 2018, 06:39:31 PM
That is sad. Probably done by a right wing extremist with some serious psychiatric disorder.
395  Other / Politics & Society / European parliament to ban certain plastic products on: October 24, 2018, 11:00:11 AM
European parliament is discussing the ban of certain plastic products, mostly the so called "picnic plastic" - plastic plates, forks, straws etc. I feel it is a step in the right direction. Sure, it won't be super easy to adjust, but in the long run it is better for the planet and our health. The so called micro plastic can enter the human body and do a lot of damage. Not to mention the harm plastic does to the animals that had nothing to do with it at all.

What is your stance? Do you support it? Will you have trouble adapting?

You may think that you live in some private Utopia, but in reality, KYC and AML has always been on the path of every crypto currency. Those that will adapt the fastest, will win.
398  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Brexit - Why do they call a second referendum a "people's vote" on: October 22, 2018, 06:07:42 PM
In 1990 people in my coutry decided to leave Yugoslavia. On the referendum 88.5% of all voters (94.8% of those participating) voted for independence. In 2003 people in my country decided to join the EU. 90% of those who voted were in favor of joining the EU with 60% appearing for the vote. If I recall corectly on the Brexit referendum, around 52% voted to leave the EU and about 70% of eligible voters voted. Such an important decision, such a divided country.

Yet I don't think there is way back. The process has been set in motion, it is not up to UK to reverse it. I can't even imagine a politician in entire UK to pull the brake. It has been decided, it will be done.
399  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: On legality of Bitcoin - legal till banned or banned till legal on: October 22, 2018, 04:32:36 PM
I do agree with your opinion that mostly people are doubt about bitcoin whether or not it is legal or illegal, and yes it influenced by which country you are from, since some countries are allow it, and some of others banned it. Reading can help, gain knowledge about the constitution in your country is a good start to be done firstly before you explore everything about crypto.
And talking about law, I don't really know much about it, what can be considered as crime, which one is not, I don't really get it. I think I need to find a lot more about law towards bitcoin as the currency.

Find the criminal code of your country and check if crypto currency is criminalised.

To poster above me, when a CHILD is concerned, it doesn't have to be forced to be criminal. A child does not have the capacity to consent. When a child i involved, it CANNOT be deemed as voluntary ever!
