Another spectacular dump.
462  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: how long will everyone can wait? on: September 19, 2018, 07:07:53 PM
I will wait and hold as long as it takes. I believe in the future of crypto and I am not worried. I am happy to be part of this, however small.
463  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is marriage a kind of punishment? on: September 19, 2018, 07:01:40 PM
I wish everywhere in the world women were free to chose their husband and treated equally. I believe true love means mutual respect between partners. Which means share the chores, the work, the rewards. I also wish everywhere in the world women would be brought up with faith in themselves and be allowed to become whatever they want - business woman, politican or kindergarden teacher, which ever. I wish women were free to wear what they want, to have their bodily integrity intact.
464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can too many Altcoin's can become a threat to bitcoin's existence on: September 19, 2018, 06:42:04 PM
Bitcoin and a few fundamental altcoins can coexist and prosper. Each can have their own unique purpose. None of them is enemy to any other of them. It is clear though that 99% of altcoins will die off due to no usable purpose.
465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins kept in exchange, are they safe? on: September 19, 2018, 05:54:19 PM
Not only is it NOT safe, by enabling hackers to easily steal your coins, you are making no favours to crypto market as a whole! With every major exchange hack, trust of the public falls and with it, the market!
466  Other / Off-topic / Re: How important is merit for you? on: September 17, 2018, 07:48:31 PM
I just want to be part of the community. And for me to be part of the community, people need to see me. For people to recognise me, an avatar would really help. If I could have an avatar, I would have no need for more merit.

I want to motivate the community. My motivational threads got many many replys. I am proud of that, I want to keep the spirits up so that we can all grow in this experience.
467  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / When will Ledger Nano S support new coins? on: September 17, 2018, 07:22:04 PM
I noticed this month's crypto Tuesday never came. I am waiting they fullfill their roadmap and add new coins.
468  Other / Serious discussion / Re: What is the right religion? who to worship? on: September 16, 2018, 07:40:33 PM
I would advise you to believe in yourself and you will achieve great things.
469  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Poverty and its effects to the world on: September 16, 2018, 03:46:21 PM

All people should have a sense of responsibility and care about enviroment. But effort of one or several persons wouldn't change the situation, only government can stimulate people to be careful and resposible for what they do.

I think for a global change the people in power should prioritize saving the planet. they are the big whales and they benefited most from exploiting it early in the day, and this change can only be achieved from the bottom down. it won't be changed much from the bottom up, though it would be nice to see everyone at their individual level being more careful.

The next bout of refugees is going to happen for environmental reasons (and partially it is already happening). When people lack drinking water and lose everything in hurricanes or when their islands are permanently flooded due to raising sea levels, they don't have anything else to lose. People think trashing the environment won't leave consequences for them personally, but the consequences will show up on their door steps sooner rather than later. And no wall will hold them. Not to mention most of the world's population is now consuming micro plastic in their drinking water (and Coca Cola and Starbucks). Bon apetit!

470  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Does any of you spend bitcoin in physical shops? on: September 16, 2018, 12:44:27 PM
Slovenia's largest shopping mall accepts BTC payments. The funny thing is, it is called BTC city, but the meaning of the name of the mall has nothing to do with BTC. It actually means "goods trading center city" in translation.

I think this will be an interesting read to you guys about it. There has since been progress but I can't find many articles in English. It is happening and it is interesting to say the least:

That is true this sudden move on KYC has created fear and disappointment in ETN holders. This makes no sense to introduce KYC at this stage this way. I do agree that crypto is for freedom and maximum privacy and lot of people will leave the project. One way can be to introduce KYC for those who want to make instant payments but those holders should be exempted from this requirement.

I disagree. People are happy go lucky leaving their personal info everywhere. And they looove taking selfies too. How do you think FB affair happened? It wil be fine Smiley
472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAUNCHED][POW]⚡ELECTRONEUM⚡Official Moderated Thread on: September 13, 2018, 05:02:25 PM
It would be interesting to see the instant payment system compared to Digibyte. This coin is also fast as hell.

No, it is really not. DGB is getting beaten by faster competition. It is an old coin that never grew significantly in price either. ETN is much better.

Are you kidding me? You wanna tell me this isn't fast? I guess you should do a little bit more research, just btw... price of Digibyte is much more stable as the price of electroneum.
I`m holding 15x more electroneum than Digibyte. But we need to be still critical, thats why i`m asking Wink

I am not interested in videos, but thecnical data. 560 tps is a joke these days. Wake up and smell the coffee.

I have to admit the instant payments that are supported by institutions because of KYC are a good development.
475  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Rape me please! on: September 09, 2018, 06:42:16 PM
I wonder if moderator has considered, that the title of this thread could be very painful and triggering to some people. It is not excluded that there might be a rape victim on this board that could be hurt by the title. It suggests that people ask for rape, but that is not true. I think the title should be changed or thread locked.

When BitcoinTalk starts removing posts because of people's triggers, that's when I'll stop using it.

Sure, it isn't in good taste, and it's kind of click-baity but it's your responsibility to keep yourself from being triggered.

Maybe get an extension on your web-browser that puts spoiler tags over any mention of rape and throws a popup to warn you.

Online ethiquette doesn't say one should keep themselves from being triggered on public boards but rather it is responsibility of all participants to keep things civil. Who would expect such a propostrous title on a crypto currency forum? I am pretty sure it breaches the rules of the forum. Trying to be emphatetic here, perhaps you should try it too.

477  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Does it matter if politicians have affairs? on: September 09, 2018, 03:41:52 PM

Snipped

In the USA it only is an issue if it is a Republican having the affair. Those of Democrats are routinely ignored, not reported, and not considered in decisions about them.

To me it seems quite the opposite. Hillary Clinton was given grief how she was not a feminist because she did not leave her husband when HE had an affair. But Donald Trump gets to have affairs with porn starts and nothing happens.

What you say is partly true, but it went far beyond that. For Clinton there were numerous substantiated reports of rape and other serious allegations, in addition to the Lewinsky affair that basically led to the Starr investigation.

Hillary was largely complicit in all of that including defending her husband on the rape charges. Yes in the last two years, FINALLY, people have swung against her for that.

Trump has an number of consensual affairs. I am not seeing that his behavior now or in the past even approaches the sexual predator activities of Bill Clinton.

Did Melania consent, too?

It is not secure though, so I don't think it will take.
479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will all ecr20 tokens follow ethereum? on: September 09, 2018, 01:08:00 PM
Many are intended to become a unique blockchain so those should be fine at least.
480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Growth Nears Ceiling, Ethereum Co-Founder Buterin Says on: September 09, 2018, 01:04:09 PM
I think Vitalik messed up a bit with ETH and now spreads FUD. ETH network can't handle transaction load needed to be usable. Many devs have since made better coins with better tech and those WILL grow. If ETH is to survive it seems others will have to save it, like TNC.
