301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust ICO Rating sites? on: August 10, 2018, 11:14:23 PM
Ratings can never be objective sources of information, due to the amount of individuals being influenced by money. I personally would never trust other people to make a decision for me when investing into something, because when you lose that control, then you'll be losing a lot of money in crypto.

ICO sites in general can be good for basic background information (as with just about anything), but never base your investment on a handful of individuals or websites that are there to potentially make money from said ICO's (there are always bad apples).

It's a conflict of interest to rate or list coins and make a profit by rating and listing those coins. Ultimately, their interests are not aligned with yours.
302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 400 BTC to get a listing on binance's new dex ? on: August 09, 2018, 06:08:34 PM
All it takes is 1 ICO to bite into the price, and reach any significance in volume or user-interaction due to that particular exchange. Once that's achieved, the market has been proven and all competition will follow suit to create "the prestigious" atmosphere to get listed to X exchange.

There are many positives & negatives to this. One major negativity is it will hurt any legitimate non-greedy/corrupted ICO or platform that's trying to launch (there are many other negatives for reasons probably listed in this thread).

One positive is an exchange can almost be certain on that coin's legitimacy if so much money is ready to fly into their hands, without any hard research investigating what it's about. Very few coins are scam coins that get listed to Binance, and for good reason. Protecting traders is one of the many crucial elements that exchanges have to factor in, for their reputation and for their sanity of not getting torched by governments and media.
303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BitDegree Platform Grows While Token Struggles on: August 09, 2018, 06:02:26 PM
Nice advertisement, but very poorly done for these forums, just looks like a wall of spam and bullshit. If you expect to reach any significance in alt-discussions, then create some controversy and how you're better than everyone else instead of marketing a product.

Make people want to remember your coin & platform, not skip over it
304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the ICO Scam "blueprint" all of these BAD ICO's are following? on: August 09, 2018, 05:59:37 PM
The easiest first tell into understanding and realizing a fake ICO is simply by viewing their telegram and or twitter. If there are thousands, tens of thousands of accounts subscribed to that particular channel, and that coin just launched like 1 week ago, then chances are it's a scam ICO or get-rich-quick scheme.

Don't be seduced by the perception everyone is getting into a coin by the number of followers it has, don't follow your instincts to bandwagon, because you will lose and the scammer will win.

Again, one easy tell is just to view the number of followers on telegram, twitter or etc a coin has. No coin will ever reach 10k+ subs or followers within 1 month or 1 week of launching, unless it's been blasted by major media outlets to no end, ex telegram's ico.
305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrencies’ $600 billion crash hits a new low on: August 09, 2018, 05:55:37 PM
All this information was already known by those who understand digital currencies. There are several threads that explain why certain coins have unreasonably high valuations (ex ripple hitting 3usd) and etc.

Pay attention to the people who understand crypto and how the market works, instead of the puppet dummy accounts and most bounty hype machines.
306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PRE-SALE] Reger Diamond (RDC) - the first ICO secured by diamonds on: August 06, 2018, 06:36:15 PM
Careful when investing into scams like this, there's no such thing as an ICO secured by any precious metal or Gem. There have been 10-100 attempts at mimicking "diamonds," "Gold," and etc on the blockchain, and all of them have proven to be scams.

Most of these accounts on this thread are also faked, giving the impression that there is interest behind this.

Again, warning, do not invest. Research into similar scam coins that have occurred, you will find many.
307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How We are Being Ripped Off on ICOs on: July 13, 2018, 11:36:37 PM
This environment was created from greed and ignorance.

There's nothing that can stop it, other than the investor who puts forth the money for these ICOs. Even then, there will always be someone who gets duped, and therefore, there will always be malicious ICOs.

The difference between a good ICO and bad ICO is the intentions of the creators. You can define it by how much profits/losses, how big and etc etc, but none of that really matters if the intention is to screw people over in the end.
308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] UNIVERSA [ICO] | Blockchain Protocol for Business on: July 08, 2018, 05:36:38 PM
The team is actively building every foundation that most coins are trying to create atm (even the top 20-30). Once UTN its any major exchange, the coin will rocket.

Patience is the key, i have very bullish predictions for this coin, actually one of the only coins that makes me excited about crypto atm. It's one of the 5-10 coins to launch in the last year that has any real sustainable growth in years to come and not to mention, a solid framework.
309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nevra (XEV) - Project is Terminated on: July 06, 2018, 06:56:43 PM
@tk808  @mprep can you please lock this thread ,as the project is terminated
The thread started has not posted on this thread from last two months
So, this thread serves for no purpose other than spam

The thread remained opened to serve as an open discussion in regards to airdrop coins, and what was presented with this coin. Most of the conversation has quieted, and I'll lock this thread for the meantime.

There may or may not be something in the works to replicate what was attempted with this project, keep your eyes out in the coming weeks/months.
310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A divide between short and long term investors on: May 28, 2018, 06:16:18 PM
Sounds like you need to research more about cryptos and how to invest/trade
311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NEO Could Surpass Bitcoin By The Year 2019 on: May 28, 2018, 06:14:41 PM
More retarded speculation threads, BTT has become a place where the blind leads the blind
312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Centra - buy /sell or hold? on: April 10, 2018, 03:18:12 AM
Centra will float the infinite sea of shitcoins for eternity, maybe one day a group of corrupt individuals will pump the coin. But, don't hold your breath to gain what you invested back, anytime soon. Just my speculation.
313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is 2018 the start of REAL ICOs?? on: April 10, 2018, 03:11:52 AM
organic fertilizers and collect money for the increasing production capacity.

Bitcointalk altcoin forums has truly degraded to pathetic noise from clueless investors.

When the average person is investing in fertilizers on blockchain technology, and actually believe what they are investing in is legitimate, all hope to find quick meaningful discussions about random cryptos has been been drowned in this sea of illegitimate shitcoins.

For a quick reference, there have been multiple scams revolving around "fertilizers" and every other type of coin you can think of.

Here's my favorite, even had a story written once on this by one of my former journalists: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=600639.0
314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How to be a Great Invester/Trader, for ICO's or Anything on: April 03, 2018, 12:54:55 AM
Don't follow the hype, don't listen to other's decisions and recommendations about what coin you should be investing in.

The best way to successfully profit from ICO's is to take into account the grand scope of everything, and research every detail about the coin. If something doesn't seem proper, out of order, or even a lack of information, i personally just immediately close out of that ICO or coin, no matter what occurs with the future of that coin.

The whole goal is to minimize risk and uncertainty within your investments. There's also external indications you need to account for, like the health of the broader Crypto market, and how certain coins (like the one you are looking at), are performing or have performed.
315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The co-founders of the Centra ico were just arrested on: April 03, 2018, 12:24:45 AM
As foretold, governments will reign down on all the injustice and crimes committed with cryptos. After the whiplash of last year's gains, the masses flooded in, and the uptick in greed has swarmed these forums.

There's always been corruption and money-hungry whores, but they were far fewer. Since "ICO" is the method that has dominated 2016-2018, the rats flooded the markets with utter garbage and shit.

I once was an advocate against regulations, but now that the masses are here, cryptocurrency has become a playground for the infested wolves and the uneducated sheep, with no master to watch over the chaos.

Regulations and intervention is the only way crypto will grow to new heights in the future. That's why there's a lot of uncertainty in the current climate of all cryptos. No one is going to predict the next catalyst for major growth, only time will tell.
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's bubble is going to burst on: March 29, 2018, 10:00:38 PM
LOL! I've heard of this nonsense of "the bubble is going to burst" since Bitcoin was only worth $100.

It will indeed have a price correction (it's very much overbought today) but that's hardly a "bubble that is going to burst".

Live with it.... Bitcoin is HERE TO STAY and especially GROW STRONGER.

and those bubbles have busted every time, until there was a new major growth indication, mostly led by volume and etc. Those downfalls lasted many months.

No one here is talking about the longevity or the regrowth to new heights, we are talking about the current climate.

We're entering new territory, and as i had somewhere predicted that we'd see a 5k Bitcoin back in December 17', which will not be entirely unreasonable at this current time.

Everything that's occurring with Bitcoin now, has already occurred 3-5 years ago.
317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO's, Airdrops, Lies, & Corruption on: March 29, 2018, 05:17:42 PM
This issue has give a lot of concerns to many that have been into crypto for quite some time,as regards what will be the fate of cryptocurrency in near future. Every time, every day, we see new projects come up in form of ICO. The worst part of it are the airdrops. What happens most time is that those who bring up one airdrop or the other just end up using the community to achieve their aims.
I was formerly a fan to airdrop. All i noticed was that most of the airdrop tokens i got and that i decided to hold are no more trading at the prices they traded initially - prices dropped drastically. The worst part of it is that some are even dead.

For every 100 airdrops, there is most likely 1-2 that will be anything worthwhile. I think i'm going to start really looking into airdrop's and tweeting those potential few that will have any merit in the future. Airdrops like Rebellious for example, was among one of the most solid coins to airdrop this/last year.

Aside from that, you're correct on several of your points. We are just in a phase where many think they can enter and become a millionaire overnight, which is not the case. There was a time, before the masses poured into crypto, where this would of been possible, but every coin is starting to meld with eachother and become indistinguishable.

The market has essentially become oversaturated by utter trash and garbage. It's becoming increasingly difficult for myself, and i suspect others, to find those crypto gems.
318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / ICO's, Airdrops, Lies, & Corruption on: March 18, 2018, 04:48:25 PM
The current climate of crypto's launching and the future outlook is on a steady decline, due to unfavorable actors attempting to launch every breed of crypto. I'm really hesitant to acknowledge any ERC20 token as a legitimate token, because there are few-to-none that are.

Individuals here should be questioning the legitimacy of these types of tokens launching, seeking to find a niche in the real-world. For the most part, coins have moved away from trying to push forward the sentiments of Satoshi, making coins/tokens for people, and now are making coins/tokens for X industry, whereby they have no regards to the massive undertaking against real-world corporations and regulations. There are 0 ICO's that have actually embedded themselves in a real-world industry, because, frankly, ERC tokens and blockchain technology can be implemented by anyone. And if any legitimate corporation decides to implement a blockchain, they'll invest into R&D and create it themselves, pulling the best of the best talent out of the crypto world. In essence, almost all ERC20 token launches are bullshit, and are just quick cash grabs. There are very few that are legitimate, and i assure you those are not the ones being talked about.

In regards to the airdrop climate, it's turned into a marketing gimmick. The airdrop coins that do seek to giveaway the majority of there tokens are plagued by mishandling of information or forced-mass spam campaigns to promote their coin. Once that coin is listed, the end-goal has been achieved. All users and development efforts cease and whatever is left of the coins value decreases to 0. Rinse and repeat.

These are not blanket statements, this is just a basic summary of the current climate of cryptos. Individuals here are uneducated about what actually occurs behind the scenes or the scheme's they actively promote and invest in. For those reasons, the new crypto climate will continue to degrade. Coins that will achieve top-100 rankings will be significantly reduced in the coming years.

But this entire scenario was inevitable, everyone is out to enrich themselves as quick as possible, by any means necessary. Human nature.
319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC Data leak on: March 14, 2018, 12:06:10 AM
And this is how your passports get on the dark web.

https://thenextweb.com/hardfork/2018/02/07/sentinel-chain-ico-leak-passport/

There's nothing more gratifying in life than saying something that comes to light. I only wish more heeded the warnings, or actually read this thread to understand that KYC is the most dangerous idea to come to cryptocurrency, at least, in this current environment.
320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have a feeling that ICOs, presales and crowdsales will be stopped in 2018 on: March 08, 2018, 03:39:52 AM
This is just speculation, with no basis. If governments where to take such an action, it would begin with banning ICO's ongoing or future ones, not ones that have already occurred. That's a big IF, and is unlikely to even happen.

You have to understand, that you're dealing with technology here, there is a bigger picture than jimmy's 200 USD profit on an ICO, it's the future for a world connected to the internet, from daily goods, to industries relying on blockchain.

Companies won't have to R&D this tech, because the R&D is already occurring, and to ban it, is to stifle the future of humanity.

This post is meaningless FUD to promote a signature campaign, this is what this forum has devolved to, spam born from greed.
