61  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam Alert! Token sell is continue in Ferrum Network project on: December 06, 2019, 04:56:25 PM
@cryptozahi this is like the 3rd post OP has written. Obviously he's a disgruntled investor, who has most likely lost money. Stop spamming alt-discussions and post your useless topics in scam accusations: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83

Secondly, pick your topic. You spammed about CEO, you didn't provide evidence. You spammed about roadmap, you didn't provide evidence. You spam about tokens on Bitmax, you didn't provide evidence. You're now spamming about tokens being unlocked, most likely according to the scheduled disbursements that the team has more than likely stated already, and you claim it's a scam.

Give it a rest, accept your losses or come to terms why you're on a blind rage against a project that I personally see no fault with, since most of the information you're spamming about appears to be already discussed in their Telegram group and news channels and exclaiming "token sell" when the project is barely even at a 1mil mcap, while being in the top gainers this week on CMC.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alts with no liquidity on exchanges on: December 06, 2019, 04:35:11 PM
Liquidity is everything.

99% of altcoins have less than 1million liquidity, And the top crypto's have about 1/10th or even smaller amount of liquidity than what's reported. The reason for this huge disparity is wash trading and market making.

CMC has taken a good step forward, but there is a lot of work to be done on making this data more apparent and their lack of filtering all these fake, scammy exchanges that are "trading billions of dollars of crypto daily."

Overall, there is no escaping wash trading in crypto. Almost every alt-coin out there has no real volume. Almost everything you see is manipulated to an extent. Welcome to crypto and actually, everything on the internet and the real world also. This is a game of money, you are just the small fish that feeds the whales.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: DigiByte delisted from Poloniex!!! on: December 06, 2019, 04:30:08 PM
There's a reason why Poloniex is a failing exchange and among one of the worst deals (circle's acquisition) in crypto's history.
Circle is full of mindless and clueless idiots. After all, why do you think the CEO has finally stepped down?

There CEO was complaining on Twitter the other day about getting press coverage. There's a reason no one covers DGB, that's because their entire premise for marketing, adoption and growth is stifled and halted. It's possible they don't have the capital, it's also possible that they lack any real talent to continue to drive their crypto forward.

In summary DGB is a shitcoin and CEO is complaining all over the place, usually indicates internal struggles and desperation.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you involved with Crypto? on: November 21, 2019, 04:48:18 PM
Just like everyone else, I'm here to make some money, get some skills get a job keep earning with cryptocurrency for the future.

It's not limited to making money or you just expect profit here. Don't joke with that because everyone needs a long process to become a millionaire and it's not easy. Believe me this is not as easy as what you have described before.
The classic get quick rich propaganda works perfectly in the minds of new crypto investors, the market conditions decide who will become a millionaire from my experience. The timing and risk management are two main factors for eliminating the weak hands, the rest will take care of big market swings. It is absolutely wrong to treat the developing financial industry as a trampoline for reaching personal dreams based on the money.

The vast majority of people came to the crypto market after a wave of cryptocurrency hype, that's right.
They came to earn money, for the same reasons a large number of people left the market this year, and will leave even more. However, the funny thing is that it is precisely these reasons that will return the people who left the market back. Indeed, on a new wave of hype, on a new wave of earning opportunities, only the lazy will not try to invest in cryptocurrencies again. Alas, they risk falling into the exact same trap in which they fell the last time. Human memory is short.

Memory is short, you are correct. And also, this contributes to the same reasons why people are drawn to coins that have gained tremendous amounts, inducing fomo, and causing them to lose a lot of money, even their savings. The saying of buy low sell high can be observed as buying high and selling low among uneducated investments. This typically also applies to IEOs, whereby knowledge of a given project, economy and even sustainability / coherent frameworks fall on deaf ears.

Overall, the average person in crypto is not educated or knowledge in the various of sciences needed to become successful. Most are gamblers and will throw the dice due to outside factors manipulating their thought processes.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not invest based on the "telegram community" on: November 15, 2019, 05:37:15 PM
In regards to this, there are still highly manipulative practices that occur, that's with groups in excess of 15-20k members.

Most naturally grown Telegram groups consist of 5-15k members, before a sale is finished or finalized. Anything ranging from 20-100k, that was made post-2018, is consisted of fake, accounts pulled from other groups and other highly manipulative practices. These types of crypto groups you should always avoid.

Concurrently, there are a lot of "influencer" groups consisting of a few thousand members, with a crazy amount of activity. These are also highly faked telegram groups, running bots with fake messages and or paid messages for a specific time, to make the group appear active in order to sell AMAs or other public events for crypto teams. If you're serious about crypto in any way, then you won't be in these groups listening to some guy talking about the latest coin he's shilling. It's great for quick research, but always know these guys are in it for themselves, they are ultimately looking to profit from your voice, time and activity; just like any tech company in the real world. "Data is king."

All in all, when in doubt, view groups like Binance's groups, Binance's shilled IEOs and see how many members they have. Chances are, it will denote a reasonable Telegram group community size for any given period in the broader crypto market.

Also, as OP said, never invest based on the groups. A lot of shills, a lot of FOMO, a lot of nonsense and a lot more shady motherfuckers; all there to solely manipulate your thoughts. Even worse are the groups who ban users for giving critical feedback (in a non-shit talk way), because it may cause other users to ask the same questions.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: First ever appearance of the inventor of Proof of Stake, Sunny King on: November 14, 2019, 07:01:36 PM
Sunny King is probably the most significant individual, in all of cryptocurrency, that very few to no ones knows of.

In regards to Vsys, i had the chance to give Alex (CEO) and Sunny some assistance and had the chance to view their inner workings. They are on the move and they're quite serious about making Vsys a dominate force in the future.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you involved with Crypto? on: November 14, 2019, 06:50:00 PM
I have been in the cryptocurrency market for 2 years. This is a market with great potential, if we invest smartly in this market then surely in the future we will have a lot of money. Almost everyone involved in crypto wants to make a profit. I believe that in 1 year the market will be stable and grow well. Now is also a good time for us to buy crypto
Everyone wants to make money but what not everyone has are the tools to do so, many come to this market thinking that they will get rich really quick and that they do not really need to make any kind of effort in order to achieve that goal, but we know better, this market is not for the lazy or the one that wants to obtain incredible profits with very small capital in a short amount of time.

This market is for the one that is not afraid to make a lot of effort so he can understand the markets, this market is also for the one that is willing to hold his coins no matter what happens, if you do not have any of those two characteristics then you have no chance of making money.

Well stated. The most important aspect of crypto (and not to potentially lose your life savings) is understanding very clearly what you're being apart of. Crypto is plagued by FOMO, also known as mob/herd-mentality. If you find yourself easily deceived or influenced by outsiders, then you will lose a lot of time and any money you think you'll gain. This is further exacerbated by the cost sunk fallacy, in which many are susceptible to.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] UNIVERSA | Blockchain Protocol for Business on: November 12, 2019, 04:36:31 PM
Universa is a cataclysmic catastrophe. Many have been warning of the grand deception, failures and in-ability to execute on anything over the last 1.5 years, including myself. Tunisia was a moment of a glimmering spotlight. Unfortunately, you guys can add this to the pile of fuckups by Alexander.

P.S. I'm not invested in this project, nor do I have any holdings.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple CEO: As many as 99% of all cryptocurrencies will likely go to zero, on: November 11, 2019, 10:18:33 PM
Ripple CEO believe that the 99% of crypto-currency will go to zero as those coin has no use to solve any real life problem. And some coins have grown just because of hype in the market https://cointelegraph.com/news/ripple-ceo-only-1-of-todays-cryptocurrencies-will-survive .

Including the king of scamcoins, XRP itself. The small community of oblivious fools who support XRP are slowing waking up to the facts. There's a lot of money flowing around to keep XRP relevant, especially within the news. Not specifically CT or CD, but definitely smaller useless crypto websites.

71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: what is BCNEX? does it have a potential to overcome other exchanges? on: November 11, 2019, 06:05:18 PM
short answer, no. Exchanges have a huge barrier to entry, especially to gain trust, volume and etc. BCNEX had an excellent pre-sale bounty and some momentum, much of that has died out.

Just examining their Twitter account expresses to me very poor attempts at capturing their target audience or gaining market share: https://twitter.com/bcnex_net. They're capturing the market by attempting to proper smaller, unknown and shit/scam coins to begin building a base. While this strategy is fundamentally solid, they are falling short in virtually every other category.

Success of bounty, hype and buzz, does not equate a successful or a team who fully understand the environments, their target audience or how ultimately they are going to achieve their moon goals.

Is it anything that will be in competition with current leading exchanges, nothing indicates this at the current time or even indicators for the future. This will eventually settle into a niche market, gaining some market share if any. Concurrently, my last point will be if BCNEX or any startups are seen as a threat to leading exchanges, then they will ultimately get crushed when bigger funded/income generated exchanges rip the core fabric of what makes those exchanges special, and integrates those features for their mass audience.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Red trust accounts wearing signature..... on: November 11, 2019, 05:47:21 PM
If you believe something is off, or not being enforced, then do not participate in said campaign. 95% of the time, you'll be wasting your time. These cryptos are dead-on-arrival, are crypto get-rich-schemes that prey on most of low quality and money-hungry B-hunters.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Turkey working on their own digital by end of 2020 on: November 11, 2019, 05:45:13 PM
if some countries make their crypto, of course other countries will also follow it because surely they won't want to miss this advanced technology, I'm sure in the future other countries will make their crypto
China and Russia governments have announced their opinion for the currency backed digital crypto-asset but these rumours were not able to pass the rumours level, unfortunately. Maybe the new advanced technology of the developing countries will change the opinion of developed countries regarding the crypto-blockchain ecosystem and I am glad to see real work by Turkey.

Almost all governments probably have some working group examining how blockchain and concurrently a digital currency can benefit their economies. In the examples of these types of countries using blockchain first, helps ultimately reduce corruption and in some circumstances, greatly enhances surveillance of their peoples. Regardless, as foretold several years ago by many in these forums, blockchain technology is revolutionary and will be adopted by the world. Crypto and digitial currencies are just one use-case.

In the case for China, China is creating a crypto for more power, influence and control. Concurrently, China is evolving at a very rapid tech-pace, in many regards passing the U.S., but using their advancements to further hold onto their power, out of fear from outside influence and more recently, issues like HK.

The social credits system, a digital currency that will most definitely be tracked and etc. While what has been stated by China is great, the intent and purpose... use of blockchain/crypto is fundamentally and ideologically incompatible for what crypto inherently stands for.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Makes a Successful Crypto on: November 11, 2019, 05:40:22 PM
A good cryptocurrency project should involve a group of people who are passionate and believe in themselves and will keep the coin updated and be actively involved in it's development.
You will need to have something of substantial substance in order to be ahead of the other coins. The way it works and is mined has already been determined time and time again.
We don't need that. What we need is some useful things we can get spending the coin or something we get for holding it.

Passion for anything can be found virtually anywhere. While this is one factor, it doesn't lead to results or a successful business. There are many out there, peering into the world of crypto and blockchain. What most indviduals lack, especially coming from outside industries, is understanding what cryptocurrency is fundamentally composed of. I see the same mistakes, faults, and often idiotic behaviors time and time again, from virtually all who venture into crypto.

What you've stated is correct though. Having built, coded or developed some sort of platform, protocol or niche blockchain, prior to any formal sale or in the process of, is a pathway for success. But just because something is coded or developed, doesn't again necessarily lead to the success of such project, it's merely 1 component as I stated in the topic of this thread.

But overall, I generally agree with what you stated; a crypto needs to have a function, a use and to incentivize people or business to use such systems created.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ideas - dead cryptos on: November 11, 2019, 03:56:26 AM
What dead crypto currencies do you know?

What are the possibilities for crypto currencies that almost can't be exchanged any more?

Do you have any ideas how to make money on big amounts of abandoned cryptos?

I've had an idea for quite some time now, and yet to see any success (or real effort) in the creation of a blockchain, or some sort, of asset that derives value from shitcoins.

Idea can be really novel, accepting any investment/token or asset that has any value, and issuing a new crypto (pegged at a certain valuation), where those shitcoins can be traded in for. Those shitcoins can all be eventually be burned off, thus creating a unifying crypto (for those who participated), even swapping in shit tokens for eternity, proportional to the cost of the new crypto asset.

This would be a legit project, based around community/investor participation, how a crypto should truly be.

I don't have time or the real desire to create any crypto anymore, i mostly advise teams in creating successful projects these days. Idea is open for anyone; would love to see it come to fruition some day, could be quite lucrative for whomever aswell

There was a coin over at poloniex ages ago (coinsource? or a similar name) that did a 1-1 swap for dead coins. And unlike a lot of 'cleanup' coins, a working wallet wasn't a requirement. Instead they accepted a screenshot of a wallet, with a general limit on how much would be given out -- as otherwise folks would fake it and abuse the giveaway.

That could work again, if anyone out there ever felt like making a Lazarus coin and bring dead coins back to life.

Otherwise with no working blockchain, I guess tax loss harvesting is the only way to get anything out of it? You may need to destroy the wallet or do something like that to prove the loss... not entirely sure what is required, but a tax guy would know.

Coins Source was quite different, but we did aid in this area somewhat. I was the founder/ceo/creator of Csource btw https://cteadvisor.com/about/

Interesting you remember.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀 [ANN] [IPO] | Hybridverse | dApps Ecosystem | Staking | Multi-chain | DAO on: November 11, 2019, 02:30:45 AM

~ snip ~

You've flattered me quite a bit. Unfortunately, I did expect more from a CEO tech start-up in blockchain. Only true colors shine when put on the spotlight.

Lets not forget, that this begun with an innocent question pertaining to why a start-up has taken on the terminology of IPO, where this term has not been mentioned in crypto by any legitimate/non-scammy start-up, since mid-late 2014. Ethereum was an exception and one of the only handful (if any other exceptions).

IPO means equity, Hybridverse has taken this terminology to falsely mislead investors as commented by the CEO. That's a malicious practice that I encourage all to view. You had a chance to clear up this misconception pretty easily, but chose the lesser path, unfortunately.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀 [ANN] [IPO] | Hybridverse | dApps Ecosystem | Staking | Multi-chain | DAO on: November 11, 2019, 01:34:14 AM
Again, if there's any lesson you should learn here, transparency goes far in crypto. It's both the judge and executioner for startups. Transparency with finances is especially important, who the majority holders are, what the agreement lockups are and etc. None which is stated, only ever briefly mentioned. Token prices go for who's invested as well, not just public prices or the vague fantasies of (top 30-exchanges). Concurrently, you're not even sure what's in your own whitepaper, because the token economy instead mentioned in the whitepaper, it's listed only by graphical format in your medium post. Another red flag and cause for alert.

Universities do not necessarily equate to accountability or ability to execute in blockchain or crypto industry, in which you're probably well aware of. But I appreciate those tidbits of information in regards to the NDAs you've signed, but a lot of unanswered questions still remain.

Concurrently, i advise you to re-read through much of the information you've put out and tie up the several loose and cliff-hangers left, all through the documentations, technical accountability and more.

Unfortunately, you've gone off on several tangents here and haven't answered the initial question, the remark was why this is labeled as an IPO and why you've initially led down the path of misleading individuals. If it's that difficult to come to full understood answer, then my best wishes go out to your investors, your team and yourself; sincerely.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀 [ANN] [IPO] | Hybridverse | dApps Ecosystem | Staking | Multi-chain | DAO on: November 10, 2019, 09:31:07 PM
IPO signifies a sale of equity in the form of shares of the company. Is this the intent of the crypto behind this blockchain, because this wording seems highly unusual and there's no mention of any profit sharing of the crypto. Concurrently, the sale begun at time of writing, there's virtually no publication or any awareness behind any of this.

If this was intended, then one has to ask the question why this project was worded as such, since the very in-depth information presented signifies a lot of intelligence behind crypto, but foregoing an understanding of what a sale model composes of. Lastly, there's little transparency behind any funding or financial backing, what's being sold off and who the big finance partners backing the project.

Ultimately, interesting project, but a lot of vagueness and lack of critical understanding in terms of what you really are going to do and how you plan to go about it. Maybe a failure with the team, maybe an oversight, can't really tell at this current time. Businesses that overstretch their capacities come up very short-handed, especially with not understanding any proper direction or any specific audience they want to capture for adoption; which is probably the core fundamental behind what's being created, the adoption of users, developers and etc.
79  Other / Meta / Re: Altcoin Discussion section needs some adjustment on: November 03, 2019, 04:36:26 PM
The biggest problem in alt-discussions is link spamming, which I still believe newbies should not be allowed to post links in Alt-discussions or even ANN sections.
There's a lot of copying and pasting of articles, with a link at the bottom.

The next biggest problem, is hunters posting in alt-discussions, which I don't really have a solution for; since most are trying to meet a quota.

Other than that, alt-discussions has relatively become more engaging over the year, with posts/price-discussions being moved to speculations sections.

Lol @tk808 merit giveaway thread.

I'm an economics scholar (and also a tech geek), and this paper https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf brought my attention. It's a true masterpiece.

I'm here simply because I want to see what is the future of Bitcoin (and other coins). Aren't you curious as well?

Hahaha, I'm in alt discussions everyday spreading merit, tbh this board still lacks more merits being spread around. I truly do enjoy reading everyone's responses and everyone's experiences. Anyone can learn a lot by reading these responses. I'm not oblivious to the implications though and some of you have caught onto this with your puppets.
