321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Nevra's Airdrop: A True Egalitarian Distribution on: March 03, 2018, 12:53:39 AM
Nevra isn't the typical airdropped coin launching, instead we've gone back to the roots of crypto and implemented a NEM-Like distribution, each individual that's interested in acquiring XEV will be able to in an egalitarian fashion.

There's no google forms, no intrusive framework and no donations, just a pure airdrop that's open for all. 1 Nevrastake will be given to each interested member, then once our mainnet will launch (which will be based off NEM, but will enhance on some tech features such as speed and community voting), those Nevrastakes will be redeemed.

We are doing everything in our power to filter all puppets through 3-rounds of auditing accounts: one by the Nevra team, one round by the community and ultimate re-review by our team.

We want to get the word out to as many as possible, to truly make this the best distributions to occur since NEM, and open up discussions here to what the broader BTT community thinks.

322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IOTA vulnerabilities highlighted by cryptographers and security professionals on: February 28, 2018, 03:52:04 AM
You do understand that the creators of IOTA will never release the full versions of their code, because they don't want to see copy-paste clones.

It's not even unheard of these days, everyone is on a scavenge hunt for nothing, wasting their time because they don't understand what they are even dealing with. And the sheep here will believe it. It's either some really pathetic individuals who are trying to make a name for themselves, or a rigorous campaign to defame IOTA's CMC placement.

The fox will always outsmart a bear.

For reference, i have no investment in IOTA or any evidence to back up my claim here. But i know come-from-beyond's methods, specifically with Nxt. You're dealing with one of the crypto pioneers here. He's the founder of NXT, and if you don't know what NXT is or how it initially started, then you have quite of bit of reading to do.
323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING DeepOnion is a SCAM, proof inside! on: February 28, 2018, 03:24:43 AM
As some others have pointed out, a "Ponzi scheme", by definition, requires initial monetary investment, which is then used to pay the first investors, so those entering last are burned.  No initial investment, other than a little typing was required.  If you're going to call DO a scam, at least be more accurate.

There hasn't been a mandatory upgrade of the wallet in quite a long time.  You may still compile the code from GitHub and have a working wallet.  Later, non-mandatory, upgrades to the wallet, after the introduction of DeepVault are closed to review, however if you do not wish to use that proprietary DeepVault, then, yes, the code is open source.  I think I've used DeepVault once, not a feature I really need, so, if I wanted to simply stake or hold Onion, I could use the open source, if I cared to compile it myself, from GitHub.

I dislike misinformation being spread, and I would like to know if anything I've typed is factually inaccurate.  Once I investigate your claim, I'll happily correct myself.  Now, just for arguments sake, making statements like, "I feel DO is a scam...." is not something I'd even entertain, your feelings have nothing to do with it, neither do mine.  What I want to know is, can you compile a functional wallet from open source for DeepOnion?  Yes, you can.  Therefore it is effectively open source.  Was a monetary / fiat investment required to initially join the "modified airdrop"?  No, there was not, I was here at the beginning.  A minimum is required now, with, nine, I think, rounds left to go, so, break out your Funk and Wagnall's but that fails the definition of a "Ponzi scheme".

Closed versus open source and "Ponzi scheme" seem to be the arguments thrown around the most, and they appear invalid.
Seems like you made a valid point here.

A Ponzi scheme doesn't require any monetary investment, it's a scheme whereby value is transferred to the creators of said scheme.

When talking about ponzi's in crypto, it takes on a whole different meaning due to the natural creation process of crypto, being creating from mere code, essentially out of nothing, based only on trust.

And to every person who's entering DeepOnion after their "17th airdrop" you've have entered into this ponzi scheme unknowingly (you have invested real money into it, or some serious hours of time), and you're actively marketing the coin to acquire more value to your investment, welcome to the free-coin-prymaid-scheme.

The entire operation is Ingenious, and their marketing/community and coin all coupled together, is virtually unparalleled. But, the markets say otherwise, despite countless hours of marketing, the coin itself remains insignificant, with meager volumes and even a more meager mcap. This ultimately is the biggest tell in what people think about this coin.

DeepOnion will not be the last coin to implement "The Onion scheme" in crypto, it's only the beginning.

Consequences for these levels of corruption will be dealt down on the creators/team of DO, through government intervention or karma. There are countless stories to be told, by former individuals who've seen the insides of the entire process, and it isn't pretty. DO could of easily been one of the best coins to launch, but the morons behind the scene's lack all: vision, experience, knowledge and ultimately the ability to understand criticism/feedback.

Does this resemble some process to you?

Normally I would have not mentioned this but I have noticed that the project support translation to several languages as mentioned but the founder, so I have an idea, since many have voiced interest in joining the project but do not have enough English skills to formulate a post with the required information, it would be great if they can be allowed to post using their native tongues in the translated threads and the post verified by the translators for quality. this in my opinion will align with true equality as it will eliminate bias based on nothing other than language.

You're correct on that point. We initially had the translation threads open for users to post on their respective language thread, but we then changed it for them to have to post on this ANN.

In hindsight and what you've stated here makes a lot of sense, and convinced me to revert back to not requiring posting here to this ANN. I'll be sure to contact the translators and have them remove the clause to have international users post in their respective language, on their threads.
328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Shit and Scamcoins of the Day on: February 27, 2018, 02:35:48 AM
Welcome to the Rebirth of Shit and Scam coins of the day: Edition #3

1) Titanium blockchain
- Funded over $60 Million during their ICO, they were set to do "great things" with their cloud-based services on ERC-20 Contracts. Flash-forward not even 2 months later, the developers got "Hacked." Now, they claim they got hacked around 16 Million coins, amounting to roughly 10-15million USD at that time, but have no significant proof or evidence in regards to it. They are now claiming that they are "auditing" their accounts and etc etc, but can't reveal any details. They are in the process of "forking" or creating a brand new ERC-20 Token, which isn't going to do much to revive this dead coin. Clearly these cunts had no intention on ever creating their platform, and performed an exit scam on the markets, by creating massive uncertainty and cashing out quickly. How does one who generates millions in USD unable to protect themselves from malicious acts? I have no clue, either complete morons or the ultimate cons.

2) OTHO
- Claiming to have an astonishing 4-year long airdrop distribution for their coins, they've successfully ceased all operations and dumped their coins on Forkdelta. They had some minor potential, with filtering accounts that didn't follow their rules, to a semi-impressive community behind it. Instead, the devs got greedy and cashed out an estimated 5k USD, and another 10k roughly prior to their "grand" exit.

3) Manta
- a Dag clone, that sought donations for the development of their blockchain. Be very wary of these copy and paste projects, it's currently unknown how much was stolen via donations. There's a very similar act occurring with STONE crypto, but that donation has raised over 500k, and still remains somewhat active, but with absolutely no evidence.

329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [Airdrop] Nevra (XEV) - Equality, Freedom, Trust on: February 25, 2018, 05:46:44 PM
It's realy an interesting project.
I'm not fully newby in crypto, I have some experiance with crypto and want to expand it.
Also it's a good reason to get an account on the forum, before that I was just a reader)

really ?
You have created brand new account today to make this first post.May be ,the reason why Nevra is following this unique distribution model
If you want experience with cryptos, you can start with bitcoin discussion topics

During the Community filter round (2nd round) everyone will have a chance to critique all current stakeholders that are attempting to participate. For each account that is found beyond-doubt a puppet, that initial founder of said puppet, will be rewarded a bug-bounty type award.

Have no fear, we are going to work many many hours in making Nevra's distribution as legitimate as it can be.

Edit: I'll be posting a weekly update in few hours.
330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do advisers in ICO really do? on: February 23, 2018, 05:36:38 PM
We sit back and collect. Advising ICO's is tremendously easy, if you have knowledge about everything-crypto related. The most difficult thing, is building the connections, then you get passed around like a whore.
331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Nevra (XEV) Discussion - Returning to the Roots of Crypto on: February 23, 2018, 04:51:49 PM
No ICO, No donations, No Google form, No fake promotions and No Free-Coin-pyramid schemes, No puppets; Just a pure distribution, how it's meant to be.

Nevra's egalitarian distribution is based on three qualities equality, freedom and trust. Within the current framework of airdropped coins, initial-coin-offerings and proof-of-work (POW) blockchain, there remains two significant importance’s, the distribution of the coin and transparency from the creators. Within NevraStake's infrastructure, we are proposing an egalitarian approach with the community and distribution, to achieve a the highest-level of trust and real-user adoption, a similar approach to Utopianfuture's vision for NEM.

Inherently, an airdropped coin can never be a decentralized coin, due to one master distributing the supply, to the best of his abilities, to potential recipients. This is a problem that Nevra does not intend to solve, but will insist on the fairest distribution, where no one user will have more weight than another. Only one distribution period will occur, where all stakeholder's will be filtered through three rounds: by Nevra's team, a community audit and a re-review by the team. The fundamental principals in which Nevra is based on is equality of the distribution, trust behind the creator(s)/process and the freedom of participating without any authority requiring any intrusive framework to enter.

332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Disrupting Goldman Sachs on: February 16, 2018, 11:20:57 PM
So you're saying Polymath is a scam? Their platform allows companies to issue securities and accredited investors to participate. How is that a scam? They airdropped 10m tokens and partnered with Selfkey/tZERO/Bnktothefuture along with a bunch of others. To me, they're a legit project

Polymath is not a scam.
I have found it to be reliable and i trust the project.

Listen here shills, when 80% of the coin is held by the people created it, then you have a textbook scamcoin.

All these fucking idiots and puppets man. It only took 2 clicks to find some information out. Aside from that, how many ID's are now floating their ways to third parties? I imagine all those documents the team collected are now being actively sold off to the highest bidders.

We can go on and on, but Polymath is your textbook scam/shill coin of 2018, that some how managed its way to the top 100 of all cryptos. Polyscam is nearing the levels of XRP in terms of manipulation and corruption.

And don't come here telling me that the coin is still being distributed. Because if they handed out 250 coins to 100 users per day, it would take 35,000 days to fully distribute the coin, or 83 years. This isn't a POW blockchain either, this an ERC 20 token.

That's just some basic math. They aren't distributing those coins, they're waiting to dump it on the soon to be homeless.

Just link all the scam airdrops and bounties here, so we can talk shit on them.

The best thing you can do, is make your voice heard in said location, and make posts about them.
334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you report scam? on: February 16, 2018, 10:51:52 PM
If you find a Project or ICO that looks scammy, what steps do you take to warn the community? Do you just ignore and go on to the next one?

It's becoming hopeless. On so many occasions i've tried warning people, making posts and talking in their forums, there three outcomes:

1) The most ideal situation, people listen to you
2) Your post gets deleted/moderated, or actively buried by said coin's puppets
3) People are so invested, they attain bag-holder status, and will do everything to reject your statements and avoid it altogether.
335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Disrupting Goldman Sachs on: February 16, 2018, 10:47:56 PM
You think a Million dollar scamcoin can disrupt a billion dollar banking firm? Is this even a sensible question?

Either you're here on behalf of polyscam promoting this, or you're oblivious to what they've even accomplished. Don't create hype and further the pyramid schemes.

336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [Airdrop] Nevra (XEV) - Equality, Freedom, Trust on: February 16, 2018, 10:14:33 PM
Regarding the Nevra airdrop, will the negative trust received an airdrop or no if they post here?

It's tricky, I might just contact everyone with negative trust, and obviously we're going to re-review them. There was a blanket policy for negative trusted members, but there may be some lenience if there interested enough to be apart of Nevra.

337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [Airdrop] Nevra (XEV) - Equality, Freedom, Trust on: February 16, 2018, 09:14:38 PM
Hum, this is interesting project really, never seen an airdrop distribution like this one, there's nothing that I love more than projects that are 100% fair and transparent, I gave the twitter account a follow will be interesting to see the developments on this one. And yeah it's pretty hard to find interested AND invested members on this forum if they see "Airdrop" in the thread title they all go all crazy with their spammy comments "good airdrop", "solid project", etc etc, looking like they really like the coins when all they want is receive the tokens to dump them at the first chance they get for some quick bucks, pretty sad but yeah it's what happens here.

I'm native Spanish language speaker I could help with Spanish translation if you need I've never done a thread translation here but I think I can do it decently, let me know if you want me to do it I have plenty of free time  Grin

Also, could you give us some more information about the team behind Nevra? Is it all you (tk808) doing all the work or you have more people behind the scenes?

Best of luck!

All you have to know about Nevra is that tk808 runs it, he has never scammed and in fact calls out scammers regularly. He's trustworthy and operates with integrity, and he isn't asking for funds which is a very good sign. Startups don't just ask for cash before a product, they give their staff shares in the company to incentivize them to work, then they raise capital to take their idea or product bigger after they have a working idea and a proven market or product. He has other people that he works with because he obviously can't run a currency by himself.

Regarding your comment on people spamming the thread, we have people here who are only here to get airdrops too and will probably dump the second it hits a market. The difference here is that work has to be put in to get the money. I like that effort has to be put into a post to get currency. You work, you get paid Smiley what you do with the money from your work is not really in my control. If I were smart, I would hold. But that's just me Smiley

If there's ever a sell period of remaining stakes, or donation round, there will be a working Testnet or close to launching a mainnet for Nevra (XEV), essentially yeah there will be definitely a working mainframe before we ever ask for any donations. This will also be after all the NevraStakes are delivered.

Nevra's team consists of people who've seen this project and want to assist to build this coin. The website will be launched shortly, but there's only currently 3 active team members who are working on this daily.

The team will expand to 5-6, once i recruit the appropriate JS devs, for the mainnet launch.

Hi tomkat,

I can see your point when looking at some links you posted, in no way do those qualify for merit but in the case of this airdrop, only merit sent by the main developer, tk808, count. I know from my short time here how difficult it is to get any merit points, I have been trying my best so far to get some but no luck yet, but I will keep trying to write helpful and informed posts nonetheless.

While i do actively merit, all SR Members+ Can merit anyone's post here. It's a tricky solution, but even if a user doesn't have a merrit, we're still looking at everyone's post and if they did not receive it at the time, it doesn't necessarily means they are entirely discluded. If anyone shows great interest in this coin, it will not go unnoticed.

Hi tk808,

Thank your for specifying that and also adding me to the initial list. Coming back to the project, I understand it will be pure POS, not DPOS and staking will be done from within the wallets? Also it's use will be as a currency or will it have another utility in the Nevra (XEV) framework?

Hey man, i'm not ready to provide a specific set of details yet, but Nevra's mainnet will be forked off of NEM's and iterated on. You can read their capabilities here: https://nem.io/technology/

Nevra will be incorporating most of these features, and will advance some aspects and etc. Again, most details not ready to share yet, but it's ambitious, and i believe it can be done with the correct devs.
