I've been a pretty noisy asshole about it. I do agree with you that it should have just worked like all the other wallets. They'll get there and the fact that Ray and Sammy have been trying is great. I don't think either of them are official devs for this. Now *that's* community.
You're right, man. We are not official devs. Well, it is important to have community support / feedback. Please, do not reply "it crashes".. That will not help us. We need Apple Crash Report (or Error log) and OS-Version. We have to know if Gatekeeper and/or App Nap is activated. After getting 10.8/10.9 stable, we'll try to compile it against older Macos Versions (only Intel of course, scrypt algorithm is pure assembler, so don't expect any universal app) Thanks, Ray

We need feedback if it works on YOUR Mac. Regards, Ray It's working great for me. OSX / 10.9.2 / 64bits Thanks! Angry acorn did you try this what os are you on? i did ye, didnt work! im running 10.6.8 snow leopard! before anyone says anything i have six or so perfectly functioning wallets with other coins! heck even flappy works fine. Your OS-Version is not supported, yet. Sorry. Minimal is 10.7, but not tested. It is tested for 10.8 and later ... In your case, please ask Sammy for his version. But i believe, standard compiler flags are 10.7 in source. Maybe we will change it in future version, but we've got not that feedback we expected (Please, more confirms). We know that it is running on most of the 10.8 / 10.9 64 Bit. As a Mac Developer you need 10 virtual machines with different os's or the help of the community... Someone test this shit on 10.7? Thanks in advice. Ray

Which browser you are using on macos?
chrome, safari, firefox ... why? Because Safari fails to download (on my machine). Safari is not 100% Mega-Compatible. I have test it again on Virtual machine with fresh installed Mavericks (Snapshot, without any libs, 5 hours old, Appstore). Works fine with the link (Chrome). Can directly start out of DMG... We need more people for testing. I do not know what has happened to your system, but something smells... On non-ports systems there is no opt/local directory... Thanks for your testing, maybe we will find a solution tomorrow... i have to sleep.... PS: thanks to everyone who wants to help. We have 12 confirmations for Macos 10.9, 4 for 10.8. That is not much, but it is a hope. Please --- if you want the wallet - help us a bit... Greets & Thanx, Ray

For me, you did start something, but not actual version... I have no macports installed, and my version is not X86... But maybe we will find out together what is wrong...
Your Version is X86, my version is full 64Bit... you're kidding me...
no, your log says, you started it in Downloads... please check it... i think it is another version....

Did you try in DMG or did you move it to applications?
opt/local is typical for MacPorts. My Version is compiled against brew... something is wrong... Did you open DMG File and move App to Application Directory?

done... no shortener allowed here...

Ok, Universal 10.8/10.9 now. Feel free to test. Thanks to Sammy for testing against 10.8. Including the std-libs was crazy... i did not realize last night... maybe to much beer. Updated Link: https://mega.co.nz/#!dpVH1ZpL!RUZYROp7ZGl1CLdFcgre9-jY5DNEJdfD6tXycZPiD_4 We need more testers and feedback. Greets, Ray

@Sammy: There is no lib issue anymore. Believe in me - i'vd checked all libs tonight.
Greets, tired Ray
dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/lib/system/libsystem_asl.dylib Referenced from: /Applications/Zeitcoin-qt.app/Contents/Libs/libSystem.B.dylib Reason: image not found fish: Job 1, '/Applications/Zeitcoin-qt.app/Contents/MacOS/Zeitcoin-qt ' terminated by signal SIGTRAP (Trace or breakpoint trap) 10.8.5 required by Libs/libSystem.B.dylib don't bundle this shit it's common. (/usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib), I am here on and off to test it out. Also don't bundle Libs/libobjc.A.dylib My path for this crap: /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneOS7.0.sdk/usr/lib/system/libsystem_asl.dylib WTF? iPhone? Ok, thanks for Info - i cannot test for 10.8.5. Maybe update your locate database. It should not use ios libs. And it should not use Developer SDKs on 10.8.5. The common libs i will kill...

@Sammy: There is no lib issue anymore. Believe in me - i'vd checked all libs tonight. I've send the solution, but nobody seems interest in. Again: On some Systems wallet is quarantined as malware... The wallet itself runs - 5 confirmations by the community till now. All libraries are included. Here, latest binary, latest git included from yesterday, Version 1.0.1.0: https://mega.co.nz/#!J0MEhCiY!S2oKhBP-_YTNvd-x1Oj9alHprM-xtJ58MHPPiu2RrTk Solution: TERMINAL:sudo xattr -d -r com.apple.quarantine /Users/YOURNAME/Desktop/Zeitcoin-qt.app and you will see, everything will run fine. i am working on that malware issue. I think it happens, because it is not bundled in .dmg.. For all who can wait... wait For all who want's to run the wallet now in 10.8, 10.9 see the temporary solution. Greets, tired Ray

i made this fresh install for testing, man. Because it was always running on my system without problems. Did you get the latest version? This looks like another version, by another developer. Only last postet version here is working.

Look here: 100% Fresh Appstore Install of latest Mavericks as virtual Machine. System age: 2 Minutes after install, and this wallet is working well without crashes, or the need of any libraries...

Mavericks Fixed one issue... please try again.... https://mega.co.nz/#!J0MEhCiY!S2oKhBP-_YTNvd-x1Oj9alHprM-xtJ58MHPPiu2RrTk Now Virtual Machine is ready... so i can check myself... Good work - this one loads up fine but wallet is out of sync and not syncing at all - do I need to add nodes? No. Does not work. Crash. its identified as malware on your mac, please do following in terminal: sudo xattr -d -r com.apple.quarantine /Users/YOURNAME/Desktop/Zeitcoin-qt.app Then it will work. I've checked on a clean Mavericks Installation, now. It works. Till i can provide a bundled DMG, this can happens on some macs. don't ask me why.. ask Apple ;-)
