Kiklo privately offered me an unreserved position on the 'Counsel' weeks ago. I declined. Perhaps he can confirm that to you. I would urge you to tread with caution too.
Thanks, i will keep my eyes open.

I don't what Lion is afraid of, or whether he is afraid at all. I'll tell you what I'm afraid of. I'm afraid of a bunch of amatuers making decisions that could affect the value my considerable holding. Sorry to be so blunt.

Seems to me that you are not to be for the counsel with its 'bunch of amateurs'. Maybe you backed the wrong horse - maybe not.  Angry

I do not think it is an issue that can be voted on. It is not within the ethos/principles of the coin.

Please tell us more about your mining rigs, Lion. I'm sure your 'waste of energy' is not within the ethos/principles of Zeitgeist.
Who has been defined the ethos/principles of this coin in the past? The founder didn't define anything about gambling (see his lottery link on OP).
The Counsel will makes its decision. What are you afraid of?

Ray, you have made some tremendous contributions, and I agree with others that the Zeitknight artwork is great, but don't you think that the knight's horse looks a little bit dopey and down in the mouth? Could we change it slightly to show a more vigorous horse?

Something like this?

1005  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ██ ZEITCⓞIN MOVEMENT [FULLY POS] ██ Minticator, 25% interest 1 year on: October 26, 2014, 06:54:40 PM
Well kiklo, do we have the gambling issue as a proposition for a vote on your provisional 'to-do' list?

I believe this compromise is a fair one. We should put this point on our 'to-vote' list.

1006  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ██ ZEITCⓞIN MOVEMENT [FULLY POS] ██ Minticator, 25% interest 1 year on: October 26, 2014, 06:23:33 PM
We are scratching our heads over gambling and its definition.
Seems to me, that the real problems of ZEIT have been solved.

There is so much we have to do in the future. I believe we should save our energy for our priorities.
I personally see no sense in such discussions.

Keep on focusing on the goals, not focusing the non-goals.

Cheers,
Ray

Unless I missed a meeting, there is NOTHING in those principles which would countenance the support or promotion of anything to do with gambling.

copied from our official OP:

Games
http://zeit.cryptoraffles.com/

Site seems to be down. I think it was some kind of lottery.
We're not able to control what the people will do with their zeit.
ZEIT is an open currency and if someone make the decision to add ZEIT to an online casino, we cannot prevent this.

The Knights can use ZEIT for their noble intentions, but that's all we can do. ZEIT itself is not under any control. It's P2P.

For example: The Knights can also use Mintcoin for their targets instead.
The Mintcoin community can do nothing. It's an open currency.

ZEIT is free.

PS:
The Knight has been bought from Dreamstime.com.
It's not my work.

Ok. I will change all your Cryptsy-ZEIT into ZEIT.
Gimme 100 Mil of your Cryptsy-ZEIT, i will give you 50 Mil real ZEIT.
 Grin

Guys, keep cool...

They are often down from time to time.
Trading is working without any problems.

The block explorer on the OP should be updated to the multifaucet explorer:

http://www.multifaucet.tk/index.php?blockexplorer=ZEIT

Use the Quickstart Bar (Explorer) on OP.
Link is always actual. Please do not use any history links.

BTER? I am not sure if they want to have our little coin. Grin

I will miss her, yet I am almost relieved that her suffering has ended.

Rest easy, dear Margaret.

My warmest condolences,

cheers,

That's the gambling i was talking about.
With Poker you can lose or win.
On Exchanges you'll always lose.

Have a look at the mintpal story. To many people will never see their coins again.
My Exchange limit is around 200$ (in coins).
1015  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ██ ZEITCⓞIN MOVEMENT [FULLY POS] ██ Minticator, 25% interest 1 year on: October 23, 2014, 12:05:13 PM
Sorry guys, but I am TOTALLY AGAINST, in the strongest possible terms, the use of Zeit for anything to do with gambling.

It goes against everything that the 'principles of Zeitgeist' stand for, it's a dangerous addiction that is helping to keep the downtrodden in even more poverty & I've personally seem a couple of previously-good family lives absolutely destroyed by it.

If the coin takes this route I will immediately offer my entire bag to the knights & walk away forever.

I have principles & I will stand by them.

What would you do the whole day, while the robots are farming for you?   Cheesy
It's not fair to threaten us with sentence like "...walk away forever".
Everybody should have an opinion BUT the counsel is there to make the final decision at the end of day in such questions.
It's a kind of democracy.

If someone is playing Texas Holdem with highly speculative >>CRYPTOCOINS<<, he's over the worst, isn't he?
Gambling is his smallest problem...  Grin

my 5 cents...

Edit: What i want to say in one sentence: Some online games are not any kind of direction for a coin.

1016  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ██ ZEITCⓞIN MOVEMENT [FULLY POS] ██ Minticator, 25% interest 1 year on: October 23, 2014, 06:16:06 AM
Hi Mitras,

Question:
Did you ever purchase a wallpaper? I would never pay for something like that, sorry.
If you have a brand (like Coke), you can sell merchandise articles - but we are far away from anything like that.

When 20 people decided to buy a coffee cup or a shirt with a zeitcoin logo, they did it for zeitcoin.

Let's open up our eyes for the bitter reality:
We need something that is real smart and usable - not for us - for everyone.
A genius product or idea brings the customer to ZEIT, not vice versa.
Zeit is nothing special in this pool of 1000 coins and upcoming things in question - like the supernet.

Let's all ask ourself one question: Why should we use ZEIT? No answer?
That's the problem. There is no need for ZEIT.

We don't need any shop, where ZEIT is listed between 200 other currencies, between FIAT and credit cards.
We need a shop where you can simply pay with ZEIT - The coin that stands for technology and progress.

I like the idea of purchasing 3D-Models for printers or game developers.
Another idea could be a picture shop like http://www.dreamstime.com/ - where Webdevs are able to buy commercial pictures for ZEIT.

If we wanna help the needy, we need organizations accepting ZEIT.
Another idea could be our own organization:
A big page with different charity projects (validated by the counsel). People can donate in ZEIT, we will change to fu.... FIAT to help.
Cowdfunding:
A big page with different crowdfunding projects (validated by the counsel). People can pay in ZEIT, we will change to fu.... FIAT to fund.

just my 100 cents.

Cheers,
Ray

Don't care about the server costs. It's nothing towards the hours of work i've spent for this coin. Cheesy I wanna see this coin moving forward. (I think i speak in the behalf of Lion and Steve, too)
Besides i would like to thank beejay, BeholdTheTrueWake and flagged for their work in the past.

We should use this second chance on the #roundtable.
We were all naive beginners, while the creator left us for other projects. Now it's time to grow up.

cheerz,
Zay

Wallet news:

FastStart feature works like a charm. Special thanks to the mintcoin devs.
New chain format isn't compatible with the old one.
A "ready to use" chain will be available for download. (for the guys without patience)  Wink
There is no need to update, but it's recommend.

A public release will be available during this week.

Cheers,
Ray

Enlighten me, why my wallet from yesterday did not want to synchronize ?
Sometimes a restart helps.
