Las monedas de los gobiernos siempre han acabado colapsando sin excepcion. En cambio hay numerosos ejemplos de monedas privadas que funcionaron bien y solo desaparecieron por movimientos politicos. |

MtGox iba con 40 minutos de retraso en algún momento, imagina. Meter una orden ahí es casi como jugartelo en Satoshidice. Seguramente ha habido un ddos, porque bitcointalk.org (y otros forums), bitcoincharts.com y incluso un exchange en china se han venido abajo cuando ha empezado el lag en mtgox.
No se que pueden hacer, pero deberían hacer algo para evitar este lag porque esto crea mucha deconfianza.

I dont think it exists, but the central banks usually make the information quite available, at least the important ones. What they dont release is to who they give the money, but the amount they all do afaik.

Why does your friend assume you are not going to pay taxes? Consider yourself lucky to only pay 20% on any gain in value. The money you work your butt off for, that is income, likely costs you 30+%.
It sucks that it costs like 30% of your paycheck but what sucks more is the stress brought by overly complicated tax code. If all 300 million people pay a simple tax of 1000 bucks a year to the US gubernment, they would have something like three hundred billion dollars to work with every year. Very simple tax and plenty of money for the government to run. Alas, our government is not a lean, efficient machine. Hundred of billion of dollars are lost every year to inefficient military research program, pointless wars, jails, porks, paperwork for social security, and enforcement cost for the US' byzantine tax code. If tax laws where simple and short, how do you create loopholes? |

No quiero hacerme fantasías, pero supongo que el exchange no será sólo hosting. Sino que necesitará también más infraestructura, y lo que es más importante, mucho dinero para montarlo. ¿No?
Montar un exchange no es complicado ni requiere mucho capital comparado con otro tipo de empresas. Montar la pagina web es relativamente sencillo, lo unico que ha de ser muy segura y eso cuesta dinero si quieres que lo haga un profesional. Lo que requiere mas gestion son los metodos para que puedan enviar fiat al exchange. Y el principal problema es conseguir que haya liquidez, es decir conseguir que la gente lo use. Cuando empiezas como no hay gente no hay liquidez, y como no hay liquidez nadie viene a usarlo. Es dificil atraer a gente cuando en otros exchanges que ofrecen lo mismo que tu hay mucha mas liquidez. Es una de las principales razones por las que la gente sigue usando mtgox masivamente a pesar de los problemas que tiene. En los negocios la gente se encaparra con la parte tecnica cuando normalmente conseguir clientes es lo mas dificil. Si tienes clientes siempre vas a encontrar a alguien con los conocimientos tecnicos. |

Por cierto, menudo lag en MtGox. Cada vez que hay lag el precio se vuelve loco. Sería lo suyo que lo arreglaran de una vez.
Ya te digo, menuda panda. Además no sé por qué cuando hay mucha actividad, se tiene que caer la web principal. ¿Es que no saben poner el mercado aparte? Han dicho que ya estan testeando el sistema alternativo pero que no quieren sacarlo antes de tiempo y que traiga problemas. Asi que en principio deberia solucionarse pronto. |

Esta mañana sin razón "aparente", el precio del Bitcoin experimenta una subida del 120$ a 140$.
Ese mismo día, ataque de DDoS a MtGox.
A mi me huele a que alguien ha ¿provocado? la subida de esta mañana, o quizá ha sido por otra causa.
Pero bueno, el/los responsables del ataque han tratado de tirar el valor con la denegación a MtGox para recomprar lo que han vendido esta mañana y obtener beneficios.
Es un problema de que MtGox tenga tanta importancia, veremos cómo lo aguanta el valor, si la gente no entra en pánico y no cae mucho a lo mejor los atacantes se llevan un owned y salen perdiendo con la broma.
¿Qué opinais?

Present him with ANY kind of monetary reform or movement and his first and only question will be who is/will control the supply, if it's anything other then "The People through the Democratic process" he will give it a thumbs down.
Democracy is not controlled by the people to start with, so he has a problem. But watching his movies and how historically inaccurate they are Im not surprised the least about his way of thinking. |

Lo suyo sería que el cliente informara, aunque sólo fuera en el debug.log, de que hay nuevas direcciones que no estaban en el pool original, o algo así.
Para poder avisarte el cliente tendria que saber cuando has hecho el backup y no tiene forma de saberlo. |

Supongamos que nunca genero una nueva dirección: ¿en ese caso puedo "enviar" bitcoins mil veces sin tener que hacer un nuevo backup?
Como he dicho anteriormente, enviar bitcoins usa una nueva direccion (recibirlos no). |
