1581  Other / Off-topic / Re: I know there is no such thing as 'free energy' but what if it was possible? on: October 09, 2014, 02:24:16 PM
Sorry to burst your bubble, but free electricity was an invention of Tesla and he got killed for it. Research Tesla, but I promise you that you will get boiling mad. We as a race have been fucked so many times, itīs unbelievable, but we all keep buying coca cola and wanting to get rich, not realizing this is a carrot before our mouth, we ARE all rich, if resources get evenly divided!!

Energy is all around us, waiting to get harvested....
1582  Economy / Economics / Re: When will the USA pay their debts, if ever? on: October 09, 2014, 02:18:01 PM
Please think about who they are in debt to? 3 families, it's all artificial and a joke, thank god for the baby of Satoshi, Bitcoin!
1583  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The problem with Bitcoin is... on: October 09, 2014, 02:16:33 PM
fiat

The price in fiat is too volatile.

It is too hard/expensive to exchange fiat for bitcoins.

It is too hard/expensive to exchange bitcoins for fiat.

Governments regulating the process of going back and forth from fiat to bitcoin.

Merchants driving down the price by immediately converting their bitcoins to fiat.

Fraud on the fiat/bitcoin exchanges.

Miners are cashing out their bitcoins for fiat to pay for electricity.

Can you think of any solutions to this problem?

The problem with Bitcoin is peeps bitching about this evolution. Offcourse these problems will last, as long as the puppeteers pull all the strings, but if you keep bitching about it, mass adoption will never happen. As soon as people adopt it and banks see a decrease in demand of fiat and therefore the end of the financial fraud system as we know it, all problems above will vanish. Long story short, promote, don't demote!!!!

Too many frauds relating to bitcoin company also.

There is no way to stop the owner from running away after he raised enough and decided to leave everything behind and enjoy the beach.

Ever seen the real world, all scams!! Pharma, oil, it's al run by psychopats who don't care about anything else then money. Electricity should have been free from the 1920's and the electric car was invented in 1918, with 200 miles on one fucking charge, read and learn.....

Hamuki,

Please clarify(or anybody who knows positively).

Xircon has stated the next fork WILL be Friday, OCT. 10th, and rewards drop 400-->24, or less. Straight from the DEV. Your comment creates doubt in his stated word, no?

~darylluke.
I haven't read anything about the hard fork. Somewhere around tomorrow the next halving will be there either way so I guess it's gonna be 400 -> 200. Xircom? Smiley
Its a normal halving tomorrow. As I recall I havent said anything about a hardfork friday !

LOL, that's why hear say gets thrown out in court Wink

The urge to invest in bitcoin companies is the old meme that you don't get rich digging gold, but selling the miners spades.

For bitcoin, this is not correct. Just buy some coins.

Someone have to invest in companies, but it doesn't have to be you.

I would disagree. Many bitcoin related companies can be successful regardless if bitcoin is successful (or if some other altcoin is successful). They are simply 'investing' in any crypto currency taking off. With bitcoin on the other hand you will only profit if bitcoin is successful

Bitcoin companies are strongly reliant on the community, the mainstream still sees Bitcoin as a huge risk and fraudulent system, while the exaxt opposite is true, Fiat and the financial system = Fraud. It's our job to get this in the open and to make GOOD bitcoin bussinesses a succes! So yes, it's hugely inmportant to support and invest in bitcoin companies if you have some btc to spare Smiley
Most bitcoin related companies do not allow anyone to invest like that. The only real way to invest in any bitcoin related company now is via VC

Dude, read about it, plenty of options to invest but also SUPPORT, support means using or buying shit you support
1590  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is Pluto a planet on: October 09, 2014, 05:56:13 AM
Nope, not a planet anymore.

They claim it to be not a planet anymore, I'm not convinced....
1591  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will plummet to $10 by first half of 2014 on: October 09, 2014, 05:51:03 AM
Funny to read when people said it cant go under $500.

They still more right than the Bitcoin $10 guy

Damn right, haters gonna hate!!! You can't deny the honesty and perfectness of the bitcoin protocol, concerning transactions. Offcourse the electricity isn't all that great, but hey, we could have had completely renewable energy in the sixties, yet corporations didn't want it, so it didn't happen Sad. Read about Tesla and his inventions, energy is all around us, waiting to be harvested....

Maybe it's an idea to make a sitepage strictly for the new addons and functions added to LTCD. I try to keep up, but it's hard to scroll through all the BS Grin

Good idea.. Let's have an ANNOUNCEMENT thread where Robbert, Xircom and Troll can post their progress freely without replies getting in the way.. They can direct people in this thread to go and view the announcement thread. People will be able to see EXACTLY what's going on, what has happened etc.

Xircom, want to set that up?

Hear Hear!! I think it will help the community and build trust about the future of the coin!

why bother pay 14.9 BTC for these when they can only produce like 9-10 BTC ?

So I take it you have a magic crystal ball too?

Mine says these can easily break even with cheap electricity.

He's right, if you pay for electricity, no roi
1600  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will bring BTC price back up? on: October 06, 2014, 05:58:49 PM
Capitulation of a lot of unexperienced 'investors', or better speculators. Well, there is a ton of FIAT on the sidelines now, very ready to be put into BTC again, which will happen as soon as we find the real bottom! If that happens, we will see another rise, increased media coverage, and thus a new bubble!

My thoughts and hopes exactly, this time I will see profit 2!!! Grin
