Not really, cloudflare filters http/s protocol only.
You mean the actual pool was being DDoS'd?  If so, was it intentional or just an influx of people connecting and the machine not keeping up? (as unlikely as that seems...)

I dont know but i seriously doubt it was a DDoS. Most likely influx of people, i myself had 30 servers connected in a couple of seconds. Maybe that triggered some kind of an alert at the provider that flagged it as DDoS.

Can cloudflare prevent ddos attacks on pool?

    "difficulty" : 0.01352948,

Solo mining possible again.

Someone probably killed off 500+ Amazon instances. We are going to stay stuck on block 4258 for some time..

I am sending some nice power to the pool, lets see how long it takes to find a block

EDIT: the workers column does not work
EDIT2 : Down again....

Pool is down.

In case somebody is interested I've just compiled the miner from https://github.com/siklon/slimminer for windows with example how to use with the pool http://77.237.251.163

Great work Mumus! Can you compile a x86 version ? Linux static build would be nice as well
1387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Slimcoin : Proof of Burn NEW BLOCK GEN, Mineable by low power computer! on: June 02, 2014, 11:58:20 AM
As I said, you must use my slimminer fork or you will get 100% invalid shares.

Please compile static linux and win binaries, both x64 and x86 and ask the dev to update the first post.

Cheap MYR for grabs, not even i can resist such low price Smiley If trolls can support with 1btc worth so should MYR fanatics. Lets do 50btc volume today.

Cheap SLM on bter for grabs. Enjoy while it lasts. 004 expected later today!

I'm placing a 0.1BTC bounty if someone reputable compiles the following :

- Static linux binaries (slimminer, slimcoind and -qt), compatible with glibc 2.5(so it works on both old and new linux flavours).
- Windows x64 and X86 binaries (slimminer)

I'll drop another 0.1btc bounty if someone comes up with a patch that lets the wallet mine PoW when encrypted.

That is not what i want, i want to setup a burning pool, finally existing out of 1 azure instance foreach account c.q. wallet. So someone creating an account will still have his own 'online' wallet. It is decentralized that way, payouts instantly after a PoB is found, automated, not in the online wallet, but to a user his own wallet which is out of the pool. The goal is to remove the gambling factor and let it payout to people. If there is no demand i can stop coding. Why didn't you guys said so at first  Huh And yes, trust has to be on me, not anonymous.. google my name, find my work or even my house in the Netherlands.

Its only primer crying as he's losing his burn chances asap a PoB pool is online..
I guess is you somehow manage to have all odds concentrated in a transparent system, you'll have loads of participants

OK, dont say i did not warn you.

You intend to run a separate wallet for each user ? Good luck with that!! Smiley))

Go code a PoW pool instead if you want to help the community.

The easiest would be just 1 wallet running on 1 instance. Until it has 1000 coins then i add another instance with a wallet that can go 1000 coins. I'm not sure yet, but if it has to be decentralized i rather run many worker roles. Foreach account 1 wallet makes it easier for statistics, because the burn decay etc is already build in for a single account then.

You are obviously a pool newbie. Please leave the work to someone else. If you want to help, go compile windows slimminer binaries.

It's some kind of centralized BANK instead of pool.

Even worse, centralized ANONYMOUS bank. Sure. Not gonna happen my friend. Please dont attempt anything similar again.
1394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Slimcoin : Proof of Burn NEW BLOCK GEN, Mineable by low power computer! on: June 01, 2014, 09:08:25 PM
the backend coding is going nicely for a PoB pool, i have most of the code for getting burn information from a wallet.
here a screenshot of the quick watch debug window on my own wallet

Dont bother, no one is going to use a centralized pool for PoB. Thank you for the effort but no thanks.

ok i keep getting a ton of dropped connections in the debug log before i get a chance to actually "mine" anything, are there new nodes at all or anything? i'm still giving this some time because i want to believe in it.

here's a sample:
Code:
getblocks -1 to 00000000000000000000 limit 500
Added 1 addresses from 125.115.54.166: 65 tried, 916 new
socket no message in first 60 seconds, 0 1
disconnecting node 125.115.54.166:49264
connection timeout
trying connection 80.130.222.41:41682 lastseen=-23.8hrs
trying connection 76.127.202.17:41682 lastseen=-361566.3hrs

You are wasting your time...
1396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Slimcoin : Proof of Burn NEW BLOCK GEN, Mineable by low power computer! on: June 01, 2014, 09:32:14 AM
Is there a command for wallet mining to limit cpu power, for ex. 50% of power, for old PC with one core?
My friend want to mine but his PC  become very slow when mining.

Dont bother solo mining on old PCs. Difficulty too high. an i7 4770k finds a block every 48h. One core PC would take a month at the current diff.
1397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Slimcoin : Proof of Burn NEW BLOCK GEN, Mineable by low power computer! on: May 31, 2014, 09:58:39 PM
I guess 100% trustworthy is impossible - anywhere!
At least some trust could be built with public address + Block Explorer.
I need some sleep now, will talk to my programmer tomorrow if payouts can be easily automated somehow.. then maybe I'll offer the semi-manual PoB pool.. if people want to have this at all ^^

No we dont. Yeah, talk to your programmer.  Roll Eyes Decentralized or it wont happen.
1398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Slimcoin : Proof of Burn NEW BLOCK GEN, Mineable by low power computer! on: May 31, 2014, 08:08:26 PM
If the wallet is encrypted does PoB minting function without walletpassphrase ? i.e. is it only necessary to unlock the wallet for PoS minting ?

I believe so

Well i know wallet wont mine PoW when encrypted. So take devs 'believe so' with a grain of salt.
1399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Slimcoin : Proof of Burn NEW BLOCK GEN, Mineable by low power computer! on: May 31, 2014, 08:00:31 PM
Burnt 250 coins yesterday, already 24 hours, still no luck finding PoB. Angry
Guess it is not profitable for PoB?

Was your client unlocked, synced and running ?

Dev is purposely avoiding serious questions, what a loser.

I've had one out of 3 wallets compromised due to inability to mine PoW when encrypted. Why would you not allow a wallet to mine when encrypted, so stupid.
