PSA: Hardfork in approximately 2.5 hours: http://myrcraft.com/xmr.html

"It's ForkeningŪ"

Ninja fork. I'm expecting a big diff. decrease. Two big private Chinese botnet pools have not upgraded (3.7MH/s total hash), I have a feeling there are many more.
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: March 21, 2016, 12:46:29 AM

I'm dumping 300xmr/day, whatever the price..

Ha! That will really move the market.

As long as you have a lot of other minnow friends...  Wink

EDIT: IIRC you already sold ALL your XMR, no?

Yes i sold almost 100k xmr in the last 2 months, invested all into ETH and made a fortune. I still mine XMR at 300KH/s , dump everything i mine at 24h intervals

Translation: "I always use market hindsight 20-20 vision to tell people about my past trades and nothing about my future trades to get a track record"

Future trade advice - sell NOW. This bubble is about to pop.

Why sell an amazing coin?

1. 80% of net hash are botnets
2. No one uses it, blocks carry no transactions (http://chainradar.com/xmr/blocks).
3. Obsolete - Ethereum Serenity release will include a ring signature dapp (confirmed by Vitalik)

My advice to hodlers is to unload NOW...

Whatever the price isn't that always your advice?

Wolf!

This obviously is the peak of the pump, I am pretty sure it won't go over 0042.

147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: March 20, 2016, 07:27:52 PM
Is there anything, I should do (regularly) monitor, control or guarantee after deploying an XMR node? Or can I deploy and forget the node after the setup and don't have to do/check anything?

I am asking, because I can't check logfiles & activity of my nodes manually. Because I currently run 15 nodes and consider deploying some more, to help our project with network stability, quality and growth.

Currently I just have a cronjob, that controls if the Monero daemon is running and notifies me, if it can't restart the daemon.
At the moment, I monitor the uptime of VPS hosts via https://github.com/BotoX/ServerStatus

But I want to setup an Centreon instance and monitor all my VPS hosts and XMR daemons, via Centreon.
Later, I want to write an Centreon plugin for monitoring XMR nodes and delivering some stats about the nodes current stats (Block height, Peers connected, etc.) back into the Centreon.
Basically like people have written Bitcoin Nagios plugins, like: https://github.com/linuxconsultantsireland/check_btcpool/blob/master/check_btcpool

I am interested in talking with people, who also run alot of XMR nodes. So we can learn from another.

You are wasting your time...

There's a hard fork in less than a week and no binaries have yet been released ?!
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: March 03, 2016, 01:09:07 PM
You all should have listened to my advice to dump XMR and buy ETH in January! I've since sold 400BTC worth of ETH and still hold 35k in cold storage.. My XMR holdings are 0 now.

Do it NOW before its too late! Don't forget its all over for XMR once ring signature dapp comes out (Vitalik personally working on it!)

You were right on January. Unfortunately I am afraid it is too late now to buy eth as it is pretty expensive. Better to stick coins that are undervalued, such  as xmr.

Thing with those kind of predictions is .... if they come true people like you tell us widely about it from left to right ear.... but if they donīt come true there is SILENCE... welcome to the Internet 101.

If you take a look at my post history you'll see I dumped my first 30k xmr for ETH back in September when it was at the bottom (0.0025). XMR is dead, ETH is going to eat it alive. Get out now before its too late. Satoshi Roundtable conference was Monero's last chance - instead of getting whales interested in the tech. fluffy goes full retard - drinks and gets into fights with conference members...

150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: March 03, 2016, 12:44:08 PM
Deleted for off topic

Couple of questions for fluffy.

So what happened at the Satoshi Roundtable conference ?!
Who won the fist fight ?
What and how much exactly did you/the other guy drink that night ?
Chairs were broken - who paid for the damage ?

Who the f... invited this moron ?!

Why offtopic ? Fluffyponzy is the lead dev, he had a seat at the conference, community needs to know what kind of a moron he is!

This shitcoin died a looong time ago, why waste time on a failed project ?!
Multi-algo blockchain was designed to mitigate the 51% attack. This is not a threat anymore and there is absolutely no reason to support the project...

Haha, absolutely not!  But when I hear "Satoshi Round Table" I think some meeting with the top dogs in development to talk about Bitcoin primarily... I understand now it's more of cryptocurrencies in general, which is awesome.  Will there be a video of it after the meeting is over?

I was there last year, it is a well marketed event but I am sure fluffypony can do without me this time  Wink

The problem with that level people is that everyone is already hands full of work. I did not have the resources to start any projects with anyone there, but it was cool to shake hands with Roger Ver, Erik Voorhees, Brock Pierce, Vitalik Buterin etc. I pitched Crypto Kingdom in the main venue, but to my knowledge nobody bought in. CKG is up 1,000% in one year measured in fiat, 500% in BTC, but that would be peanuts for these guys anyway.

There will most probably be no video.

Fluffy's lifetime achievement - invitation to Satoshi Round Table. I'd love to find out who invited him...

This community is so "polluted" ...

iCEBRAKER was a former CEO of Hashfast, criminal ASIC scammer with a lawsuit in progress.
No wonder he's all-in in Monero, he had to 'wash' his stolen bitcoins...

I have Moneros waiting for you and other bears to be lent out.
Please short and pay me some interest. I am generously giving out loans with max. maturity (60 days) at these rates so no hurry to repay.
I am considering buying coins from the shorters and re-lending them back to them so that they can short and sell those coins twice.  Grin

Which part of 'I mine with 350KH/s' don't you understand ? I dump as i go..

Monero never was a get rich quick scheme, I always felt the high emission was to stave off pumps and make it so that there is a long fair period of "early adopter advantage" - The result is that everyone coming along now can get Monero almost as cheaply as someone that found Monero in 2014.

Sure, because its a failed experiment, 3-5months from now once ETH Ring signatures dapp is live it will be even cheaper Smiley

In two years poof no more block reward

Incorrect.

You must be one of the three retards Smiley reward in Aug. 2018 1xmr..
You retards thought getting rid of the block reward fast is going to get you rich ? Smiley Nope, this shitcoin wont live to see 2018 Smiley

Incorrect.

In Aug. 2018 reward per minute will be ~2 XMR.

Also, know your history.

Aug 30 2018 , block reward below 2xmr..
Is this the best you can do, play stupid? Who is going to secure the blockchain, miners sure won't, block reward will be almost non existant (bitcoin block reward wont drop this low until year 2100) and they sure aren't getting any xmr via tx fees (look at the blockchain today, two years after launch -  no transactions, empty blocks).

Who is the greedy bastard that came up with the emission rate? Smiley)

<2 XMR != "1xmr" sorry. Who's playing stupid? Maybe look in the mirror.

The history of things is quite public. It's quite hard to see it as a greedy choice in retrospect, looking at the (total lack of) pumps that have occurred.

Back to playing stupid: Bitcoin's block reward drops below 1 (0.78125) in ~2032, not 2100. For extra fun, note that Bitcoin has one block every 10 minutes, while Monero currently has one ever 1 minute. So in Aug. 2018, Monero will have ~20 XMR reward per 10 minutes, approximately the same as Bitcoin does *right now*.

Edit: or what smooth said. primer-, it's more fun to have arguments with someone who occasionally makes not-completely-absurd points. Try harder.

another moron comparing bitcoin to xmr Smiley) as if 0.78125btc is anywhere near 1xmr (or 100) Smiley Monero, a failed get-rich-quick scheme..
