I am new to solo mining and have only used pools so far. I am trying to mine X11 and I start the the minerd and it starts and everyting seems fine but I get:
HTTP request failed: HTTP request failed: failed to connect to 127.0.0.1:21532 connection refused

What is happening here? Can anyone help please?

Well, I don't agree, to make a successful coin you need both people to drive the project and people that can code and people to promote. Just because you can code doesn't make it a success and doesn't make you a good project manager. A good project manager can make a successful coin working with others. There are lots of coins with lots of innovations and fancy code and they are far from successful.

I came into Checkcoin very late and I haven't read all the posts, are you guys saying this coins is dead? It looks like a decent investment on the surface of it..?

first time, the node was running, but someone pulled the wrong rep. from Github
second time, the node was not running, but everything went fine with Github

It is embarrassing I know but it doesn't change the plans for the currency. I am also aware that some people may have rented some rigs, as I did myself and may feel that they have lost out.

Next time we will have two separate nodes up and running and they will be tested up until the launch.

When everything goes to plan the next time I will arrange for a giveaway to certain patient individuals that have stuck with us.
