I have downloaded the last wallet. I am on a Mac and it just doesn't sync. It just freeze up and gets stuck.

If you check the logs, its probably while its looking for new peers or its getting a bad block from a peer, we're working on a new release with faster peer lookup, database and peer banning.  We have fully tested the wallet on mac and it synced fine for us.

This is what I get:

Yes, that worked. I first had to create a clam.conf file with server=1 in it to be able to unlock and then the importprivkey worked, but I got no Clams  Angry
I guess I just had 'dust' on my addresses

I meant for you to type 'walletpassphrase' in the same debug console you showed in your screenshot, but using the 'clamd' interface works too.

It's possible your DOGE were in a 'change' address on the day the snapshot was taken. You might want to try importing the whole DOGE wallet (after unlocking your CLAM wallet, as before). That will cause it to check all the change addresses you might own too.

Ok, this is what I have tried now. I enter walletpassphrase XXXXXXXXXXXXXX 3600 and press enter. This seems to work. I then go and choose import the wallet.dat from the Dogecoin directory:
/Users/family/Library/Application Support/Dogecoin/wallet.dat (I am using a Mac) - the only 'special' character is the 'space' and I get the same JSON error as before. I have attached two screen shots:

Right, this was a bit of an oversight since we didn't expect Unix paths to contain spaces(we didn't have a Mac build at the time). If you place the wallet.dat in a path with no spaces, you should be able to use File->Import Wallet properly. That will let you scan all of the change addresses in your wallet without manually entering them. You won't need to use walletpassphrase either. Hope that helps.  Smiley

Yes, I copied the wallet.dat to another directory and did the import bit and I got one transactions:

I have tried that with two different Dogecoin private keys and it doesn't work:

Is your CLAM wallet encrypted? Looks like it to me.

Type:

walletpassphrase mypasswordhere 3600

to unlock it for an hour, before doing the importprivkey.

Truckcoin needs to get added to Cryptopia!

Please vote for TRK at Cryptopia Voting Page.

Cryptopia votes reset weekly so we need to vote every day all the week to get enough votes!

Just voted now, good luck

Maybe you are right, the price of Dogecoin though did not increase after the halving

Can someone please help me with the import of BTC and Doge wallet.dat. I choose the import wallet and choose the wallet.dat from the Bitcoin directory. I am then asked to type in the passphrase which I do and then I always get:

What is going on here?

Wild guess: does your passphrase have any non alphanumeric characters, like ' or " ?

Try opening your bitcoin and doge wallets, opening the debug windows and typing

dumpprivkey YourBitcoinorDogecoinAddress

and press enter

where YourBitcoinorDogecoinAddress is your Bitcoin or Dogecoin address that contained funds when the Clam dev took a snapshot of both coins.

Copy the line of letters and numbers shown in the debug window (your private key) and open your Clams wallet's debug window.

Type

importprivkey YourBitcoinorDogecoinAddress

and press enter

You should see your clam coins.

I have tried that with two different Dogecoin private keys and it doesn't work:

1192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BITZ] 10% Proof-of-Stake ** A Currency for your Digital Future ** on: June 10, 2015, 09:58:31 PM
Despite the fact that I like BITZ, I have problems with CCex in the past and have stopped any trading there. (The issue of withdrawal of delisted UFO coins at that time was never taken care of; Pride-C-Cex himself paid back some of the coins when the crypto was listed again and he has not been active (by that name) for about 5 months now.  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=739473.msg8388206#msg8388206)

The immediate issue for me is also the fact that whenever I sign-in @ C-Cex with the email address, it states that "user not found" but while attempting to create a new account with that email  address, it states that the address has been taken.

In either way, I need to be comfortable enough to trade @ C-Cex again.

I understand your concerns, me myself, I have never had any issues with C-Cex like that. I don't use it much but still. At the moment the problem for Bitz is that Bittrex and others wants payment to list coins and I simply can not afford to pay to have Bitz listed at the moment. So, we have to take the slow route and wait until there are enough people wanting to buy for Bittrex to list.

No, I think you get it wrong, I am not leaving this project

I'm glad that you're not abandoning it - an honest dev who sticks with his project makes this coin better than most of what's out there. I predict it will gradually earn trust and popularity for those who want to diversify their portfolios with a mostly undiscovered, mid-high staking % coin, as long as you stay moderately active (but don't burn yourself out!).

I've invested a little and am staking every day, for what it's worth  Smiley

Glad to hear, thank you for the support

Weekly update
This week I learned that a Twitter giveaway is useless and attracts the wrong kind of people. I had at least two different fraudsters trying to create several accounts on the Bitz forum to claim some Bitz. I shut down the Twitter giveaway. Bittrex didn't take any notice anyway so it was a waste of time.
This week I also learned that there are bots signing up on the Bitz forum and I had to set some more security questions to register.
This week I realised that nobody has any real interest in Bitz and trading is at virtual zero over the exchanges.
This week confirmed earlier data that only about half of Bitz owners are staking. This means that about half of owners are just sitting on Bitz hoping that the value will increase.
I have been working on finalising the concept design for future features and planning how to implement these features.
As the interest for Bitz is zero, I am considering my options and considering if it's worth my while in time and investment of my own money to take this forward.
I will leave everything as it is and see for another week.
If the trading is zero over another week I may just leave the project to it's own devices and start over again.
Never give up....
