I see this coin is rated high on coinsource. I'm probably going to buy some.

Thank you for your support

Firstly I would like to reassure you all that we are not going away. Someone expressed their concern that Bitz was a pump-n-dump, but I can assure you it is not. We are in it for the long run and as such there is no hurry in rushing out new features that are not needed or wanted or that will not help adoption of cryptos. I know that we have published a road map and I do admit that I may have to amend it somewhat. There are a couple of reasons for that; one is the extremely low volume and small community. When the road map was worked out it was based on a wider user base. I will endeavour to publish an amended road map as soon as I can.

On the plus side is that the Bitz network is stable and staking is working fine and there are no "repairs" needed at this time or any adjustments.

I will tell you what we are working on and why. Firstly, my main focus has shifted from the new feature development and towards strategies for increasing liquidity. If we do not have liquidity we will not be listed on other exchanges and will not be able to integrate into payment processing companies. So volume first and then set the focus back to new features as per roadmap. Now, we are discussing two ideas, one is to make Bitz masternodes and the other is to develop a "co-dependant" 'slower" coin-2 with what we are calling "merged-staking" at the moment. Both ideas has the purpose of making Bitz a more attractive investment and encourage Bitz acquisition. Masternodes are popular these days but I am undecided as to whether it is a good thing for people to be encouraged to hold a large amount of coins when the value is low. Masternodes seem more appropriate to me if the value of the coin is higher and so the masternodes are more difficult to get. The coin-2 idea will likely draw in more people. I won't go into detail now. The coin-2 idea is an alternative twist to the idea of the masternode in that you will be rewarded for holding Bitz over a period of time and also be rewarded for staking and keeping the node running but the reward will be in the form of a "co-dependant" coin. This coin may accrue a higher interest if kept over a longe period. More of this later.

I am also working on security ideas for the wallet but this is time-consuming and complicated. We want Bitz to be the most secure wallet around but it is no easy thing to do. We first have to work out a strategy and the theory and maths around it and then code it.

If you feel like there is a lack or development it is because most of the work is behind the scenes right now trying to figure out the best way forward. We are two with a very limited budget and other commitments so hang in there.

I was also asked about if we could link and e-mail to a Bitz address. Bitz will incorporate "BitzIdent" in the future where you will register an identity on the blockchain with various advantages and this is likely to have the same function as the e-mail.

Whats the point of cryptos?

Well, I am thinking remittance services at the moment and also simply as digital money. The aim of Bitz when it is developed the way it is meant to be is to be fast and super easy to use. It's really as simple as that. We will persevere and see where that leads. The ideas of cryptos and blockchains are new and nobody really knows where it is going. It is worth the journey though and we will see where it leads. Maybe in the future your fridge will use Bitz to order milk when "The Internet of Things" is out there.

I am still a believer in simplicity and things that just work.

I would like your input on the masternodes and what specs. they could have bearing in mind that Bitz supply is only around 2 mill. coins.

There has been next to no trade on C-Cex again over the last week or so. When Bitz comes up for delisting again, do you think I should "rescue" Bitz and keep it listed at C-Cex or let it get delisted and make Cryptopia the main exchange and direct everyone there on the OP and the website. I don't think C-Cex is doing Bitz any favours. What do you think?
1066  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BITZ] 10% Proof-of-Stake ** A Currency for your Digital Future ** on: July 16, 2015, 04:28:27 AM
How much do they pay?

You can get the coins listed and 'highlighted' for 3 BTC

with the Bitz that you hold, wouldn't you get your BTC back?

Maybe, I don't know, I don't have 3 BTC anyway
1067  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BITZ] 10% Proof-of-Stake ** A Currency for your Digital Future ** on: July 16, 2015, 04:28:00 AM
Anyway, why Bittrex? What about cryptsy?

It would cost about 7 BTC to vote Bitz up to the top on Cryptsy. This is why I don't like it, the exchanges are greedy

So many shitcoins manage to get to trex but one good coin like this one can`t. Tough luck.

People pay BTC to get their coins listed, Bittrex has offered to list Bitz for payment but I am not paying or I don't have the funds. Slowly will do it...
1070  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MangoCoinz Official ANN Thread - Mine cryptocurrencies on you smart phone on: July 14, 2015, 11:56:56 AM
Can someone help me please, I run Android 4.4.3 and I have had the old Mangocoinz app running and mining for ages with no issues, now I installed the new version I get this message:

I have transferred my coins and deleted the old app and it doesn't matter what e-mail I use, if I use the one already registered or a brand new one I always get this message and I can't log in. Can someone please tell me how I can get back in.

Well, I think we got about 4-5 people that are regulars, otherwise it's pretty quiet. I have tried the competition and the Facebook and Twitter campaigns but nothing much comes of it...Huh
1072  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BITZ] 10% Proof-of-Stake ** A Currency for your Digital Future ** on: July 12, 2015, 09:09:47 PM

Sorry about a very short update. I am alive and well and the project will go on. The Twitter campaign doesn't get many clicks and the competition doesn't get many clicks. I haven't got anything back from exchanges like Bittrex which is what I need at this time.

Right now it's a matter of wait and see...without a higher volume and Bittrex we just have to wait and slowly gather interested parties. I think we must be the smallest community around.

I am open for suggestions for how to get Bitz on Bittrex without paying 3 BTC.

Who's got access to the OP? Can someone ask the dev if he wants to hand it over so that we can update with new social accounts etc.

A bit of a short update this time. I have spent most of the week doing my day job and it's been quite busy.

We are still working towards the Coinomi wallet and I hope I will have more this coming week. The other party that is crucial for this to work has been busy on another project and I have also assisted someone else on another coin. This was unexpected but seemed like the right thing to do. This does not mean that I am turning my attention away from Bitz. It's a temporary thing.

I have also done a lot of research around security systems and authentication and I am working on the mechanism of securing the wallet in a different and new way. This started out as a wish to have a two-factor authentication for the wallet. As far as I am aware no crypto wallet has this. Now, it turns out that we may try to design a new system altogether for security. I will get back to this.

I have set up a Bitz giveaway competition through Gleam:

General link for competition: https://gleam.io/haga4/bitz-twitter-giveaway
Facebook link: https://gleam.io/fb/haga4

I am now studying social media platforms and I will run some Twitter campaigns to get the competition out there.

Social media is more complicated than it appears when it comes to reaching a lot of people. The problem we have at the moment is that our community is too small and the liquidity is very low. I hope the competition and the Twitter campaigns will reach a few people. The community is not really growing, there are roughly the same number of nodes running all the time.

I have contacted Bittrex again and provided them with an update and they replies in the usual way, that they will not announce which coins they will add etc. The competition is trying to get more focus on Bitz and Bittrex so we will see.

There will be some Tweets coming out with the competition, so please RT and follow (or 'Like') on Facebook as this helps to expand our reach.

I believe it's only a matter of time before we are on Bittrex and this is really the crucial step to get Bitz into payment systems.

Slow and steady....
