161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀🔥 [ANN][IMC] PoW | PoS | Masternode - Intermodal Coin on: June 05, 2018, 10:38:04 AM
double the reward for a week is nice but i would prefer a wallet using less resources, this wallet uses 25% of my cores, it's a lot
also what about tiered MNs or increase colareral?

The wallet is being worked on. But they want to make sure it works ok this time. About the tiered MN or increased collateral there is nothing decided in that direction yet. For now we are staying at 6000 IMC collateral.
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: tdxminer lyra2z/XZC Miner for AMD GPUs on Linux on: June 05, 2018, 08:11:39 AM
Best solution I found to reduce power is this command:
sudo /opt/rocm/bin/rocm-smi --setsclk 0 1 2 3 4 5 --setfan 155
Could do 4 or 5 for the clock depending on how much power you feel like burning.
Do not run at stock clocks. As you found out the power usage is crazy and your card's health will be a problem if you continue doing that.

I do not think there is an easy solution for voltage. Probably involves modifying drivers/kernels or similar. Maybe someone knowledgeable will share. But I doubt it, as this kind of information tends to be kept private for some reason.

Hello vega owners..
What about playing with pp_table in linux?
Power consumption too much for lyra2z without ppt. 300w per card.
rocm-smi  cannot control voltage. May be other tools? I don't know. And can't find answers in google and forums about Vegas.
Tools For RX5XX does not compatible to control vegs's.
---
I try to change hex settings to control voltage. But when apply i see errors and nothing happened except system freeze and kernel panic.

163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ETN network needs GPU/CPU miners NOW! on: May 31, 2018, 06:57:27 AM
what about mobile miner's?
They are not able to get this advantage.  😖
feels like we are facing kind of racism.

The name shouldn't be mobile miner, it should be mobile air drop. The mobiles offer NO hash power to the network, it is a simulation only

Be happy or your phone would compete with ASICs lol. You think you would earn anything. I am amazed how much attention Electroneum gets while they do nothing but bad decisions over and over.

Ah it seems they finally forked lol.
164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ETN network needs GPU/CPU miners NOW! on: May 31, 2018, 06:54:00 AM
Oh yea sure 10 KH/s will get you....oh wait the electricity costs more.

This project....they should have forked ages ago. I would not touch ETN with a stick.

Can somebody finally delete this shit posting thread. Keeps poping up. Who the hell even falls for this crap.
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Refurbished cards - are they a good deal? on: May 30, 2018, 07:51:03 AM
Those cards are built like tanks.  I've purchased many 280X's second hand and then resold them at, near, or above what I paid for them depending on the market fluctuations.  I disagree with what some other people said about .10 cent electricity.  Just plug in your wattage/hash power figures to various calculators to figure out what is profitable.

I have R9 290X. the card is great but its a power hog. And newer miners are droping support for them. So its questionable if its worth it. At 250 EUR its definitelly not. I can get RX 580 cards for that price (second hand)
167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Refurbished cards - are they a good deal? on: May 29, 2018, 09:19:21 AM
Well, these cards come with a 6month warranty and they are sold from the official reseller of amd for Bulgaria, that's why i was wondering.
Anyway the price of the electricity here is around 0.07cents, so it is not a big deal - for my 580 i am paying around 60$ electricity bill, so even if i get to 250$ per month won't affect my budget a lot, considering they provide good hashes ofc, im going long long term on this  Grin
Whats the speed of your card on cryptonight heavy btw?

If I remember correctly around 600-700 H/s.
Ethash it does 28 MH/s with powersave and 31 OC.
Neoscrypt is a beast with over 1 MH /s
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Refurbished cards - are they a good deal? on: May 29, 2018, 08:59:40 AM
Used cards are good. Both my rigs run only on used cards from ebay and local people selling theirs. Its a risk but buying new is not an option for me because of the price.

However these cards that you posted are all old and power hogs. On top of that I don't find them cheap. I bought my last card (Sapphire RX 580 Pulse 8GB) for 250 EUR. That I consider ok price. But 250 EUR for 290X? I mean its a great card but it uses quite a lot of power.

I am willing to sell you my RX 290X in perfect condition for 220 EUR. Where are you from?
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Are you running any masternodes? on: May 29, 2018, 08:54:57 AM
I just started a few weeks ago with MN coins (been a trader for years, miner for months). Wanted something cheap to learn the ropes with so get an EBS masternode setup and running.  Took me a solid day or two to learn the ropes but once it was working I was addicted Smiley

Now I have 6 EBS masternodes and I’ve got enough to setup 2 more tomorrow.

Yes it’s a scam coin that won’t go anywhere. Yes I am fully aware the money I put into this is doubtful to ever return. But at $24/MN right now and a roughly 10 day ROI, it kinda feels like playing the penny slots!

You always have to ask yourself to whom you are going to sell the coins. There is no buying power for that coin on Graviex Smiley ROI is useless if you can't convert it to BTC or FIAT.

tbh im glad you arent getting higher just more coins for me
fyi i dont OC my cards all undervolted and if i were getting .4+ i wouldnt be mining with 290x's haha or 290/390/390X's for that matter

What a child (you know living in your moms basement is not ok right?). And still no proff. Meanwhile I am now getting 0.9+ from 290X.
thought it was BS haha fuckin newb
found you on the nets haha https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ut7e-0X8lds
your parents cant even deal with your laziness
im guessing your dumb ass didnt know to delete your bin file each time you tried a new driver haha
but of course if you read this thread you would have known to do that

also i must not be hip WTF is proff
you must mean proof lol where is yours?
.9+ is BS unless you mean multiple cards

anyways the fact you got more and yet still cant admit you are wrong shows who is a child be a man admit you were wrong then i might accept your apology

Omg, so dumb you can't realize when I am trolling you. Rofl just special. I rest my case, go back to your basement I am done with your stupid ass.
oh so you were trolling this whole time now nice copout haha

You actually believed in 0.9+. Man you are really thick. Sry can't help you with that. But enough, bickering with children gets you nowhere. So enjoy playing with yourself.

You can shorten it, I did not bother. It just sets clocks, fan speeds and voltage states. You could have one line and another loop for volt state, but as I said I did not bother. Then just calls the miner. Replace pool, wallet and password obviously. If the miner crashes it repeats itself. Then only downside is that the only way to stop it as of now is to reboot the rig Smiley I did not bother with improving it so far, you people are free to do so.

The params are for the RX 580 cards if you wondered, but I have the exact same params for the RX 470 cards.

With which one do you get 0.56 cpd?

Sorry it's was a typo error. The thing is I was computing the total cpd I'm getting and ended up typing the sum for RX 570. My R9 280x is 0.21 and RX 570 0.35.

Thought so Smiley I don't know about R9 280x, but R9 290X does about 0.4 to 0.45, my RX 470 cards do around 0.32 and RX 580 around 0.4. So I think you are doing ok.

wrong a 290X does .5-.54+ when on target 11

Tell me conf settings please? I don't think its possible.
um you dont need anything special thats what a 290X has always done for years now
stock will net you .5+ on target 11 just like target 10 gets you 15+

Which drivers?
have you not read this thread? cause if you had you would know that answer
and thats just to build the bin file anyways does not matter after the fact

Don't patronize me I have read this thread and many others on top of it, more then you probably and I know my way around mining. Thats why I still think you are full of it. Screenshot with .5+ and OC settings, before I even start beleiving you.
176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Open Source XPM (Primecoin) GPU Miner & Pool xpmforall.org on: May 28, 2018, 07:35:58 PM
R9 290 does 0.41 stock.
R9 295x2 (2x290x) does 0.41 stock. You have to pump power limit way up if you want anything near 0.5. Personally I can get them doing 0.44 both cores at stock rates with a little power tweak.
I dont have any single 290x so I dont know what they can deliver but my guess is its closer to 0.45 than 0.5.

Exactly that why I am still calling it bulshit.

Anyone with experience with shared masternodes? And if services like this are actually legit?

I'm looking to run some OPCX and/or COLX masternodes. With all the new enhancemennts and upgrades these coins have, along with their well-plannned roadmap, they seem to be extremely profitable as of late.

Yes they are legit (at least the trusted ones). I know of two that are ok for sure. One is run by a GIN coin representative. A highly professional guy. Have some shares there myself. The other I can vouch for is run by some russian guy I think. Also a lot of nodes and a lot of customers.

Won't promote here but if you wan't to know more give me a PM. Btw I am in no way connected to any of them, just a user.

Thanks mate. I played around with config and did some core clock overclocking, my cpd now for R9 280x is 0.33 and 0.37 for RX 570. Though, I'm having 1% stale share and my settings are running for 12 hours now.

Good results. You can find the best conf settings in this thread. But I think you are now doing fine.
