1123  Economy / Auctions / Re: [FAST AUCTION] Bitburner Fury board, 45GH/s+, in hand, ends tomorrow on: November 05, 2013, 12:45:47 PM
oh, being optimistic w/ the shipping time, you'll have a week to use this at the 515m difficulty level, netting you 0.31 bitcoins, 0.31 for the 10 days after that (if you're lucky w/ ~30% difficulty jump), 0.22, 0.154, 0.108, 0.0756, 0.05292, 0.037044.

I'm glad I wasn't taken up on that 1.5 offer

1124  Economy / Auctions / Re: [FAST AUCTION] Bitburner Fury board, 45GH/s+, in hand, ends tomorrow on: November 05, 2013, 12:41:36 PM
1.5 bitcoins

better get rid of it before all the ignorant ppl out there see the new difficulty level in 60 hours

Money talks, BS walks. cryptx just sold 8 of these exact same boards at auction 2-3 days ago for between 3.4-3.8BTC each, plus shipping on top https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=321331.0 - on that basis, this is a steal at 2.5BTC starting bid

scotjam

i didn't want to say anything else before the auction ended, but, some advice

it would be wise not to base your pricing decisions on item x based on the price "some random guy" was willing to pay for it "a few days ago".

when I was pricing my 6990's to sell on ebay, there were 4 that had ended in the last week, w/ prices ranging from $350 to $470 (450 + 20 ship).   so, if the last one that sold was the $470 one, that makes the price $470?

1125  Economy / Auctions / Re: 2 Butterflylabs Mini-Rigs and 8 singles hosted in USA - instant delivery on: November 05, 2013, 12:31:23 PM
This is an auction for 2 Butterflylabs Mini-Rigs, hashing stable at +/- 490 GH/s and 8 singles hashing stable at +/- 470 GH/s combined

They never overclocked/changed firmware after they left factory, so you can easily tune it for more speed.

Info:

- hosted in the USA
- monthly hosting fee: $650 per Mini-Rig, $650 for 8 singles altogether
- hosting fee can be paid in bitcoins
- the settings will be changed to your mining pool account instantly after payment
- the ownership will be changed to you instantly after payment, so you can pickup it from the hosting company whenever you want
- any kind of ownership proofs will be sent through PM at buyers request
- full escrow is possible with JohnK., to be organized and paid by the buyer
- singles can be bid only in one lot for 8.
- auction ends on 5-th November at 15:00 UTC

- minimum increment per bid: 1 BTC
- starting bid 25btc for minirig, 24 btc for 8 singles
- buy now price: 50btc for minirig, 48 btc for 8 singles

How to bid?

Post your bids in this thread. Prices must be stated in BTC per minirig or 8 singles. You must state the max number of minirigs you want (eg: 2@35).

So if someone bids for 2 minirigs @ 40 BTC and this is the highest bid, then he'll get all 2 minirigs.

Happy bidding.

how much does the hosting company charge to ship in continental US?

i assume you pay them by the month, until what day are they paid up to?
1126  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BUY/SELL ASIC MINING STUFF on: November 05, 2013, 12:22:17 PM
You found something that was actually priced at a price worth buying?

The fact that their prices are so absurdly high does lend a little legitimacy to the site, though

Most is overpriced but then all asic hardware is.

I'd be tempted buy the UK jupiter, but not sending 22 BTC to a new website when there is so little information.

I understand the desire to keep all the listings the same size, but when you click on one, it should provide more info, ie real photos of the unit, pictures of it hashing, location, would the buyer allow payment on collection etc etc

ah, i just thought i'd mention that your sig owns
1127  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: RED FURY is back! .49BTC - 2.6Gh/s USB - IN HAND, Ships to you today on: November 05, 2013, 12:12:51 PM
hmm.  i'll take some for about $25/each, offer good for 24hrs
we would love to sell at that price, unfortunately it cost us $25 for the bitfury chip alone (altho now they are sold at $20 per chip), not to mention the cost for the other 29 components (there are 30 kind of components in one USB, to give you an idea one of the component called ATMEL, it cost $3 per), also the fabrication cost, the red heatsink cost, the red PCB cost, the customs cost, the royalty we have to pay to our designer.

to quote the following article, http://www.coindesk.com/redfury-2-6gh-usb-miner-now-available/
Code:
RedFury’s aim is simply to contribute to the bitcoin community. “We are merely indie developers who share the same bitcoin passion,”

Well, OK.  What is actual cost to make then?

ed: NM, I saw the ebay auction.  No way I'd even approach $100+, and it looks like you're doing fine there
1128  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Will a Sep/Oct KNC jupiter ever ROI? on: November 05, 2013, 11:50:44 AM
I made also 25,7 BTC since 4th of October(day1) with my Jupiter.

How much did you pay for it?

6995.-$ but i sold 22BTC on 210$, so im almost break even.

You're almost break even in dollars, but nowhere close to break even if you had bought btc with that 6995.
That is to say you could have bought about 60 btc with that $6995 then sold about 30 of them at 210 and recouped your original investment (and been ahead 30 btc). So, that should be your reference point for break-even.

ROI should be measured in terms of bitcoins that would have been needed at the time of purchase (~60) and how many bitcoins you have generated. So, it sounds like you're not even halfway there.

ride this next difficulty level, then sell it used to some sucker a couple of days before next difficulty jump
1129  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Next difficulty ~510,000,000 ? on: November 05, 2013, 11:46:29 AM
I thought it'd be 520-530m 3 or 4 days ago, then 520m about 18 hours ago.  It looks like someone turned some stuff off.  haha.

dunno why nobody makes proper use of p2pool-node

1135  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Cheap/Bulk ASIC MINING HARDWARE on: November 05, 2013, 01:31:31 AM
its really relevant for people looking to bulk sell things

otherwise the prices are fairly low

the prices are only low for people that don't understand how things work here.

Haha, nice try Smiley but nobody is gonna sell an unit which costs around 350USD for 60USD because YOU think that there are people who don't understand how things work, ROFLMAO. Perhaps you don't know how things work, because it is also a psychological mind fuck instead of "how just things work". Think about that instead of accusing people for not knowing how things work. It is not just the money or the difficulty or whatever. It is just that there are people who wants to sit on the first row for nothing while others paid a lot for the first row.

Gr.

Wait.  Why did some mod delete my message, but not this drek?
1136  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [28 TH] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: November 04, 2013, 10:03:21 PM
One of our Jupiters is hashing well currently on P2Pool using the latest firmware.  We're going to leave it on there for twenty-four hours and if all is well put both on there.  Which should add ~1.1TH/s to the pool.

Can you share your node address so we can see stats, and paste cgminer output from Jupiter? I am curious how you can say "it's hashing well" when AFAIK KNC firmware is still doing full stop for 2-3sec everytime when LP/work restart arrives, lol.

If it's 2s, that's less than 7% DOA, so still easy to have >100% efficiency

i'll add here that sometime tomorrow i'm going to increase the pool fee to 2%, as it makes no sense to run a public p2pool that i'm not even using at 0%.  then i suppose since nobody will use it at that point (it doesn't have the name p2pool.org, after all), I'll shut it & bitcoind down and save $80/mo on this buffalo server
1137  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Majority is not Enough: Bitcoin Mining is Vulnerable on: November 04, 2013, 06:50:16 PM
Makes it even easier when you have all these non-relaying nodes in the network and ppl falling behind several blocks.  Just add 70  more of those swiss nodes, gtg
1138  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: KncMiner Saturn: Not worth it (but if you disagree, buy mine) on: November 04, 2013, 06:14:45 PM
According to my estimates, it is still profitable. My estimate for the value of 1 GH/s is 0.065 BTC and your Saturn breaks even at 0.052 BTC.
it isn't profitable

to op:  you can sell it in these forums for about 2-3x what it's true value should be.  i'd suggest doing so (in the marketplace forum)
1139  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Should I buy a 60 Gh/s Butterfly Labs Single on: November 04, 2013, 06:07:12 PM

1140  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [Sell][in stock] HashBuster ASIC Miners on: November 04, 2013, 06:04:28 PM
I get that chip reset all the time, and alot of other warnings too:

Had to be quick to push on print screen, but it warns me for every card. I don't know what to think about it...it seems to hash, but they are not that stable as other miners i had

Yesterday evening i also installed xubuntu side by side on my Windows 7 system.
After the installation of the modified cgminer i also get these 'WARN : /dev/hidrawxx DUP' errors and the hashrate is very unstable.

None of these errors with the Oracle virtualbox session on Windows 7, and also a stable hashrate of 2.5 GH/s.
Also tried it on my Windows 8 system, but can't get it working on that system.

change queue to 2
