New address has been added to the website, it's Saq13DKhsi9LdsKbc3wxHnxYYHKYv3yzwm

Status: 0/unconfirmed
Date: 8/31/2014 07:51
From: unknown
To: Saq13DKhsi9LdsKbc3wxHnxYYHKYv3yzwm (own address, label: Crypto for Kids)
Credit: 52522.00 SYS
Net amount: +52522.00 SYS

If the wallet address we send donations to is directly to Bittrex and if donations start coming in rapidly, Bittrex may lock the wallet due to excessive activity.

If the above is true, change the donation address to your local PC address, run the wallet and don't shut it down unless you absolutely must. Then, when the next wallet version becomes available, make a full backup of the Syscoin folder onto a USB stick prior to installing the update.

Right now the wallet is on Bittrex.  I know I have some coins waiting on Criptsy that I'm going to throw into the pile.  Should I keep the coins in the wallet on Bittrex or create an address on a wallet on my computer?  I want the community to be able to track what is happening with the coins.
There will come a time I have to sell the coins for BTC and convert to USD.  But the Hospital will know that the donations were in SYS.

BTW right now there are 52,524 SYS in the account, I have another 7000+ waiting to transfer from Criptsy.

Hey Clam Diggers!!!  If my wallet ever stakes, or if I win the lottery this is where my CLAMs are going!!!  I figured that someone here would have sent some clams for charity!!  A few CLAMs here, a few CLAMs there they add up!!  The SYScoin community has ponied up almost .2 BTC worth of coins so far!!  They will get talked about on the radio show next Sat.  If you want they community here talked about as well, DONATE!!!

Got some spare CLAMS sitting around doing nothing?  Since I'm an active CLAMS holder (and supporter), please check out www.cryptoforkids.com

For the past decade WLRA Radio/Lewis University (Romeoville, IL) holds a bi-annual fundraiser to benefit Advocate Hope Children's Charities. So far Lewis U has raised over $100,000 for the charity. Twice a year WLRA has a "To kill a DJ" week where students raise money for the charity.
We are Big Burrito Radio (heard on WLRA Saturday mornings at 10AM CST), wanted to come up with different ways of raising money for the charity. We started out doing collections at music events. Then 4 years ago we came up with Island Dreams (www.islanddreamscards.com). Island Dreams is a charity art card set that itself has raised over $10,000 in the past 3 years.
Last year I caught the crypto-currency bug. I thought what a great idea to take crypto and exchange it for BTC for the Children's Hospital! So here we have Crypto for kids!

Thanks,
Marty - I could see my donation input and also output - I gather that you are collecting all donations in a different wallet?

pywallet.py --datadir c:\users\username\appdata\roaming\coin name --namecoin --importprivkey Key string
I mean importing from file. I have file that contain thousand private key in base58 format.
Can I import them using pywallet cli ?

Yes, but it will take a while.  I had a wallet with 13,000 keys and it ran for 3 days.

For our US people, if you need a tax deduction, your SYS donation IS tax deductible!!!
wow you get taxed when you donate to charity in usa never knew that ..do what ever you need to do to make it all legal and above board..thanks

NO!!!  But you can deduct it from your yearly taxes!!  If it's a sizable donation, the charity will send you a letter stating the donation, so you can deduct from your federal income tax!!
with you now ..

Nope, say a whale sent a BTC worth of SYS.  If he sent the TX and his mailing info the charity would mail him a tax form.  Little donations the IRS doesn't question.

rebroadcast this once the price has risen some, I'm sure heaps of people want to help, but don't want to give away to many octo at this point

<edit> with apps so close

That's the idea!!  Last spring another ALT DEV sent coin that was dirt cheap!!  I held them till the price went up.  That is where the .5 BTC came from!!  The SYScoin community (SYS is really in the toilet price wise) have donated over 44,000 coins.  That's another one I'll be holding until the price rises.  Anything is appreciated. I'm not spamming all the ALTs, only the ones I mine, use, keep....

I have 20 G-Blades on 2 systems, 10 each.  I get ttyAMC0 thru ttyAMC19 (a total of 20 boards) everytime.  I have never had it have an issue seeing the blades

Hi madmartyk.

My 8 G-blades rig counts all the way from ttyACMC0 thru ttyACM15 & randomly changes to any ttyACMx with the 0KH/s (zero hash) on one board everytime.
See my original post's screen captures (BTW: this is still the case for me & have learned to live with it, unwillingly):
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=596620.msg8190422#msg8190422

I have had that happen before, usually reseating all the USB and power cables and restart minera takes care of it.  I try not to restart my machines once they are running due to issues connecting to the pool I mine on.  All in all, I really like the program!!!
3094  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MANDATORY UPDATE] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain on: August 30, 2014, 06:30:07 PM
Wow!!!  Thanks to everyone!!  You know, I am active in a couple other Altcoins, but only the people here have sent coins!!  Of course I'll mention it on the show next week.  The school thought when I first mentioned Island Dreams, that it wouldn't raise anything, last spring I mentioned crypto for kids and I got that same look.  Haven't really been pushing it because of work.  But I will mention that the .5 BTC raised were from the DEVs at ZED and Cancer Cure Coin.  We sat on those until the price went up and then traded them.

Again thanks!!!  I'll post next week about the show!!
