We need a better about section on the webpage that seems focused not on crypto only information but expands out to the real needs of Californians in addressing social inequality, environmental aspects of the coin -- you can look at Mintcoin/ECCoin's pages on this, and other California specific things that separate this coin from others. You should not mention theft and security as that is common to all cryptos. Tell us what seperates CaliforniaCoin from any other crypto out there.
We will also need to make a foundation that uses this coin for California-based projects, perhaps art, music, or even public infrastructure. I would also like to see part of the premine put into an escrow account and saved for major disasters in California like Earthquakes, Forest Fires etc. If you can convince people that you are creating a coin for the long haul that will be there for when the proverbial shit hits the fan, I think people would be more receptive to helping this coin get off the ground.
You know all of this is well and good, but first you need to make people what this coin, to mine this coin, to BUY this coin. Having an escrow account is great unless the coin is only worth 1 sat or less, I'm sure the people of Calif will appreciate the $20!! Start hitting up the pools!! There are plenty of pools out there, spend some of the pre-mine on getting them to set it up. That is what a DEV should do!!!

You know here PINK is used in support of breast cancer, why don't you do a tie in...

I will be giving 20,000 coins to someone who can convince an exchange to get us listed and a further 20,000 coins for someone who can get us into an exchange
There is no "convincing" exchanges, only BTC will get you listed!!! Unless you want some fly by night exchange like cryptorush was...

Gotten very quiet out there.

DIFF climbing and still not one block.
Seriously? STOP THIS
WHY???
Strange, solo mining and getting no blocks... Low hashrate and kinda low DIFF, but nothing.

I sent the thread to a user here I know who already runs a couple pools.

How much is it for a pool
If you rent a machine, it all depends on how many cores, and the disk space.
I know a couple of users who set up pools, they rent the rigs from Digital Ocean. For little money you can get the bandwidth and the horsepower you need.
Nope, lots of sellers and no buyers!!
This is what I get
"blocks" : 6652, "difficulty" : 0.49467844,
Be careful with public scripts, too many pools have had all their coins pilfered, then again there are pool owners who have done the same thing!!

Looks like this light bulb is broken... DEAD COIN!!

Tough breaks man...not sure how you could get them back or if they have already been mined by someone else? Or is that not the way a different fork works? I had some orphaned blocks which sucked you know what...lol
Honestly man im just as clueless as you! haha... first time some vanished and I didnt see anything, later I mined and would get a block then it would vanish and I could see orphan blocks. Maybe I was just high last night and the same shit happened I just dont know. Every time you were on the wrong blockchain mining you were getting blocks. When the wallet resyncs to a different fork (maybe the right or wrong fork) It kills the coins it can't find in the chain. Then you get this. I think my fork is right as of now.
Pulled this from getmininginfo...
13:14:08  getmininginfo
13:14:08  { "blocks" : 6555, "currentblocksize" : 1000, "currentblocktx" : 0, "difficulty" : 0.49467844, "errors" : "", "generate" : true, "genproclimit" : -1, "hashespersec" : 1760, "networkhashps" : 27631864, "pooledtx" : 0, "testnet" : false }
Looks good to me Yep I think we're all finally on the same fork.

Great. I had 100,000 CACs in my wallet.
Now I have none at all. It doesn't even show my mining transactions.
That sucks.
--PD
Dude that don't suck, this sucks!!! Started my wallet this morning and it was empty!!! That blows man... did you try to check transactions via console to see if it showed orphans, or does it show nothing? They were mined on a bad fork, that was after I had deleted the blockchain and resynced 2 times before. There were a lot of forks on this coin at launch, Just like the libbies in California say, FORKS FOR EVERYONE!!!
