Anyone out there trying to get this coin on an exchange?  I submitted it to Cryptopia.

.. Yes, I admit it, I'm a suburbanite peasant!!  I would have to do some major rewiring to get a 220 Tap.  Not going to happen!!  Between the S4, the 5 G-Blades and the last GPU I have ComEd loves me!!!  LOL

I knew enough to be dangerous, but when I was the contractor for my own home a number of years ago I got this, which is a great intro book:  Black & Decker The Complete Guide to Wiring.  I think there is a recent updated version.

I'm not planning of any more equipment.  I have come G-Blades I use for scrypt solo mining and the S4 for Bitcoins.  Sooner or later (I figure sooner) the S4 won't even break even.
2524  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4 Discussion and Support Thread on: March 30, 2015, 01:36:09 AM

If it looks like that on top i would love to see inside.   I have never seen anyone with that amount of dust in 3 weeks.  That is harsh conditions.  None of my S4's look anything like that.  I do spray them out every once in a while, but dust has never been a issue for me.

Same here, not a problem with dust, it's the noise!!  My wife is always bitching about it!!
2525  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: BITMAIN announces Antpool on: March 30, 2015, 12:43:12 AM
Shit I had to have another 20 amp breaker installed here to handle 1 S4. I would have to have a new service ran if I had 6 of them!!!  Smiley

Come on now, 120v is for peasants! :p Run your hardware on 240v. An S4 is only ~5.7A on 240V.

It would be really nice to see my little S4 produce more than the regular .02-.025 BTC in a 24 hour period!!!  13 out of 21 blocks, not bad at all!!!
2529  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: BITMAIN announces Antpool on: March 29, 2015, 06:27:45 PM
8 out of the last 9 blocks!!  WOO HOO!!!

AP occasionally "gets behind" in processing block rewards.  It always catches up, it's just a matter of time.  Also, we've found five of the last six blocks, so that may be straining the process that handles the metrics.

I hope so!!  Love seeing that many in a row!!!

2532  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CLAM] CLAMs, Proof-Of-Chain, Proof-Of-Pearl on: March 29, 2015, 05:29:33 PM
Just a quick note to whoever donated 6.66 Clam to Crypto for Kids!  THANKS!!!

Hoping this fall to make a nice donation in the name of Clam users to the hospital!!

Keep up the great work!!!

If Dooglas or SuperClam would like to loan the wallet enough CLAM to make staking worth while it would be appreciated!!!

I auctioned Just-Dice userid 666 "for charity". The highest bid was 80 CLAM, but then KLYE bid 6.66 CLAM and the highest bidder dropped out to "let KLYE have it".

I had KLYE send the 6.66 to the Crypto for Kids address.

I'm sad to see that he's now auctioning the same account again, when your charity could have had the whole 80 CLAM. Maybe he'll send you at least part of his proceeds.

Nice!!!  Thanks!!!

Hi,

If anyone is interested, here is updated firmware for AntMiner S4 with extranonce.subscribe support and fresh cgminer version:

AntMiner S4:
https://www.nicehash.com/download/AntMiner-S4-SD-firmware_cgminer_4.9.0_nicehash_and_normal_fan.tar.gz

Details explained here: https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=software#asic, firmware was prepared by smit1237 (thanks!).

Kind regards,
NiceHash.com

This is fantastic thank you.  Just one thing on the website it notes

"Instructions how to replace stock AntMiner cgminer binary are included in the zip packages as README file."

I downloaded the Antminer S4 file you linked but there is no README file.  I can run back through this post and learn but you should get that in there.
This is whole firmware for your miner, don't modify it, just load via web interface like regular bitmain update.

I try loading from the web interface and get this...   tar: invalid magic tar: short read cp: can't stat '*': No such file or directory

One issue is that all docs say to empty your addresses, after they are imported can you use them again?
2538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] OCTO - Resurrect 888 - New Counterparty Asset on: March 26, 2015, 01:53:18 PM
If OCTO is a counterparty asset how can it be listed on Bittrex?  I thought it can only be on the exchange in the online wallet?

Nope. Both polo and bittrex and many more exchanges accept assets. All a Counterparty asset is, is a layer on top of btc. Any exchange could accept counterparty.

XCP
FLDC
GEMZ
SWARM
SJCX

All assets that are widely traded on multiple exchanges.

Very cool!!!
