301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if every country has its own crypto currency on: June 04, 2018, 01:08:08 AM
Wouldnt it be nice if each country in the world issues its own crypto currency just like they issue sovereign bonds and they raise funds from there to fund projects in their economies. I know Venezuela tried to do something like that, but the project was already being killed by the governments opponents before it took off.  Now lets assume that didnt happen could it be a good way to create some form of sanity and confidence in the crypto world.
I don't think it would be nice if every country has it's own cryptocurrency. You can see so far, that every county known for corruption has shown interests for launching a national cryptocurrency. The reason is quite simple: they want to control their citizens and escape of another contries sanctions. The first point is a big pity because in every corrupt countries the citizens often have some disavantages to criticize authorities. The government will have an interest to get rid of them and by using a own cryotocurrency the government can watch it's citizens and decide wo has to go to prison.
The second point: Escaping sanctions is nothing to argue against, it's up to the country and maybe better for the citizens.

The problem is if you have a national cryptocurrency it's a central one, controlled by the government. This is not good. The can abuse it for it's own interests, get informations about the utilization or manipulate it.

It's better to have a strong global and decetralized cryptocurrency like Bitcoin. It can't be abused by local authorities because it belongs to all people.

So a national cryptocurrency can be seen critical because it depends on the government, and if the government is nasty, then you'll have some trouble.

303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Where to invest 500$ on: May 31, 2018, 10:20:01 PM
Good evening people, im newbie in cryptocurrency and i need a hand from you guys.
I want to invest 500$ in an altcoin, can you help me pick one ??

maybe ETH is very good you invest this time sir because most likely ETH will rise at the end of year or in months to come

Same here, ETH is still very cheap now. Time to buy. Don't know if we can get in so cheap like right now! If market gets up again, it is to late maybe.

But you never know how prices will develop in future. So it's only my personal point of view.
304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think this year will be Red? on: May 31, 2018, 10:11:09 PM
No it isn't finished yet, so we have to wait and it is still a chance of getting to new all-time-highs. A bullrun in Q4 is still possible.
305  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 5 tips for signature campaigns on: May 31, 2018, 09:33:54 PM
I really appreciate the points OP made here. I'm not participating in any signature campaign, but if you want to join some other campaigns it can be helpful to analyze your estimated rewards before beginning your work for this bounty.
The number of participants is really important or the amount of tokens reserved for every part of this bounty. There are some differences. So a good analysis of the project and also a good analysis of the bounty is necessary.
306  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How does the topic view counts? on: May 31, 2018, 04:00:04 PM
1) Does the site counts only registered members or if somebody unregistered enters the thread he'll give +1 to the number of thread views?
It counts only if a registrated member enters your topic, not registrated members won't count. You can check it easily, if you log out and enter a topic, the counter doesn't change. If you are logged in the counter goes up.

2) And if the site counts every member for 1 or if a person would enter the thread for 5 times per minute the number of views will rapidly increase?
It doesen't work to click your post several times in a row - to avoid cheating. The counter will be stuck at the original number of views, even if you click 10 times. You have first to read another topic.

I just see so much average and boring projects in announcements but they have a fantastic views numbers and tons of pages with "oh, nice project, I will follow!" so that makes me doubt that project is not increasing its forum popularity with a help of some sort of ... cheating let's call it.
This is a big problem and maybe some projects pay for this "bumping" obviously. This creates a big amount of shitposts like "nice project", "very interesting project" or just "when moon?"  Cheesy

309  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Hashflare on: May 30, 2018, 05:17:49 PM
I don't trust Hashflare and strongly recommend against any investments. Hashflare is one of the worst legit cloudminers, limiting the contracts to 1 year and the high fees are really bad.

There's no such thing as a legit cloudminer.
Genesis Mining is ways better than Hashflare.
310  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is Hitbtc a scam? on: May 30, 2018, 05:12:11 PM
Hey All,

I have some btc stuck on hitbtc there is no email coming so I can withdraw my coins is hitbtc a scam I've read a few bad things about them on here. What do you guys think?
It's not a scam, but it is one of the shittiest exchanges out there. If you have an ICO and you lists your Tokens at HitBTC, you want to loose investors. I hope you can transfer your BTC finally, good luck.

HitBTC is one of the worst exchanges, if you like, you can call them ShitBTC.
313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin have more risks than benefits? on: May 30, 2018, 04:56:10 PM
Bitcoin is still at it's beginning so yes, there can be lots of changes. But if we are realistic this will be the future, Bitcoin will stay. At least as digital Gold.
314  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: REMINDER: Protect Your Investment! on: May 30, 2018, 04:47:08 PM
Good advice! Losses resulting of mistakes from yourself are really bad, because you can avoid them.
315  Economy / Reputation / Re: Merit history is hidden after 120 days - maybe we can change it on: May 30, 2018, 03:47:13 PM
This has already been in a thread opened by Vod a few days ago (see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4240116.msg38454966#msg38454966)...
Oh sorry, I didn't see it.
316  Economy / Reputation / Merit history is hidden after 120 days - maybe we can change it on: May 30, 2018, 03:26:48 PM
I have a question and/or suggestion regarding the Merit system in general. It's running not long, so there might be some aspects we can still make better. The topic I want to brought up to discussion:

All your received and given Merits are hidden after 120 days, you can see the statement in your profile if you check your Merits:

Sent in the last 120 days
Received in the last 120 days

Since the introduction of the Merit system in January 24, 2018 more than 120 days are passed and now some entries are getting hidden step by step. This can be seen in the Merit history, last day you can find will be January 30, 2018. Example from theymos: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;u=35

Maybe we should think about a change here, the Merit history is a goog indicator for detecting alt accounts by Merit trading. If 120 days are passed, dectecting will be impossible. Also everyone can see connected accounts by having a look in the Merit history.
If we hide all sent/received Merits after 120 days, all Merit trades before are getting hidden. To avoid Merit trading it can be a good decision to show the entire Merit history.
317  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Waiting for Airdrops? Don't always open Myetherwallet !!!!!! Tipp !!!!!! on: May 21, 2018, 04:22:37 PM
Very helpful post, I would like to merit it, but I have none  Undecided

And if you want to show all token you have there, you can have a click at "Token Balances" on the right side. Then you'll see all the token and the amount stored there.
318  Other / Meta / Re: Merit system is not working, failed! on: May 21, 2018, 02:00:31 AM
Merit system is neccesary, only thing is we need more sMerit in circulation. Maybe we will hear some news regarding this. Releasing more sMerit would be a great decision to everyone.
